The cheese boards were fabulous, a brilliant choice of wine, and we were made so welcome and the service is excellent!! Can’t recommend highly enough!! We are already arranging our next visit! Thank you for a great evening!!!

What a great idea! A cheese & wine restaurant. Everything was quality, from the chutney, grapes, pickles, to the excellent choices of cheese and wine - NOTHING was ordinary. The music helped to create a relaxed ambiance. Thoroughly recommended.

We all had a good night, and while the spread you get is really good, the ambience of the place is relatively poor, there was no music, and young kids wandering around which I didn't expect in a wine bar. I'd still go again, but think there is a lot they could do to improve this venue.

Not the first time I've been but I recommended to some friends so went back to show them how fab it is 😊 Had the platter which is fabulous value and plenty to eat, and a good selection of wines to pair with it

This is a little gem of a find! Small but not as busy as we expected. Staff were friendly and explained everything really well and then left us to it, which we liked, they were accessible if extra drinks were required. Prices were excellent for what we recieved. Sharing board was 6 cheeses picked off the menu, bread, Crackers, butter, pickles, olices, meats and chutneys. We shared between 3 and still couldn't finish it! Can't wait to back again.

We went to Joanna’s for a 50th birthday. There were 8 of us we had 2 cheese platters, patè, crusty bread & crackers lots of meats, olives, chutneys, onions, gherkins it was presented very nicely. We had 4 bottles of wine, beers, vodkas nothing was too much trouble, the owners were very attentive. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much, you made our night x

What a great find. We were visiting Blackpool for my 50th birthday and fancied doing something a bit different for food. The cheese platters were outstanding value and quality. We also ordered the pate. Great quality wine to accompany the cheeses at a reasonable price. The owners were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We would have no hesitation in booking Joanna's again when we are in the area 😊

Absolutely fantastic night,once again. Not been since pre covid but fab to see that the selection is still top notch. Sharing platter of 6 cheeses with sides is £25 - outstanding value. Wine selection is good, we had a bottle of shiraz and a Barolo that was delicious 👌🏻 If you've not been, you're missing out!

We’ve been coming to Joanna’s for a while now and always have a lovely, relaxing time. We asked them to make our cheese wedding cake for us and as usual we were really impressed with the service we received. The cake went down so well with our guests, it looked great and was really reasonably priced too! Thank you again for everything!

As a lover of cheese I wasn't sure what to expect. It's kind of a lazy option to have a cheese and wine at home with friends or family so I had a bit of a negative view from the start that going out for C& W was not going be too great. In that respect, I wasn't disappointed. At least one of the cheeses tasted like soap and was inedible. They could have made it more interesting by having scorecards for the different cheeses, at least they get some feedback on ones to avoid. Not a cheap night considering what is on offer and a lack of atmosphere didn't help. Not only that but since visiting 2 months ago, I really haven't eaten much cheese. It's just not for me but may appeal to younger people.

Booked it 2 yrs ago with Singer, Daisy for my birthday before lockdown!! and finally went last night (8th April) So relax atmosphere with music and the cheeses were so amazing. Definitely will bring my whole family next time X

Travel from St helens to enjoy this place but due to unforseen circumstances the place didn't open up on the day we visited..Will look forward to visiting it again in April with my aughter on board

It was amazing, didn't expect the amount we had and the owners are so nice, it was sad ti see that it wasn't as busy as it should have been I should imagine it is with covid, i hope that it will keep going as there is nothing like it here that we have seen. Been a few times, always have a great night. First time back since Covid and the owners have put in new seating inside, outdoor seating , fencing and revamped the menu with more changes I'm told on the way. Recommend trying the "pizza cheese" just because it's different!

We've just had a lovely evening at Joanna's cheese and wine. The selection of cheeses are delicious and the red wine was sublime. We sat out in this gorgeous weather which is perfect for both cheese and wine. The service was excellent, I definitely recommend.

Absolutely cracking cheeseboard, no shortage of stuff to eat, it was huge! They'll wrap up anything you can't manage though, so you can take it home. Only things I can think to change would be to install a proper audio system and soften the lighting.

My husband and I visited here on Friday night for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The cheeseboards are fantastic value and we loved the idea of being able to choose 6 from a huge list of different cheeses. The wine we chose was perfect for us. We had time to chat to the lovely owners who made us feel very welcome. I would recommend to anyone for a different experience if you like cheese and wine and if we are back in Blackpool we definately will return.

Went for the first time last night. I wasn't disappointed, a great selection of cheeses to choose from, nice friendly staff.

It was more of an experience than a meal. I was there last night but grazed more than dined. I was alone so they offered me a me a single person deal which was over generous. The food was beyond what could be expected ANYWHERE. The cheese selection blew my mind, served with delicious cured meats, olives, pickles, bread, crackers and lovely oil and balsamic. It would shame most Spanish tapas for its quality (and I’ve eaten lots of tapas), and the wine was not only amazing but for the right money too. The jewel in Blackpool’s (if a bit rusty) crown. And I mean that in a good way!

We really enjoyed the sharing cheese platter. There was an enormous amount of food for the money and a good selection of sides. Drinks were also reasonably priced - a cheese board for two, bottle of prosecco, a pint of beer and a medium glass of wine came to £55. Only reason for four stars and not five is that the background music was quite loud, which made it difficult to have a conversation at times.

We ordered the cheese platter to take away and could not fault it. It was really enjoyable and I would recommend to anyone. We will definitely be getting it again and booking a table when lockdown is over.

A lovely cheese and wine bar with friendly hosts. Lots of locally sourced cheeses available (which means there are not so much of the wider options (e.g. comte, gruyere) but great to try some local varieties). When we went there was only the choice of a mixed platter with 4 cheeses and meats (but as we are veggie they gave us an extra cheese) - it would be nice to give the taster menu a go to try a few more of their selection. Nice accompaniments with our cheeses (bread, crackers, pickles, cornichons). Would recommend!!!

We have been here many of times before lockdown and we love it. Since lockdown the owners have given it a fresh paint and made it COVID safe where possible. Still a lovely relaxing atmosphere. They have new cheeses and wines so we decided to try one of the new roses, my husband usually drinks red. It was lovely perfect for the warm day we have had today. The owners still welcome you and you have your table for the whole night. I highly recommend this place both for something to eat or just a drink.

I love the variety of flavours of cheese, friendly staff and brilliant live music if you are lucky enough to get a table when they have live music on.

We decided to try here last week as had heard of its existence through friends and family and I’m so glad we did. It’s really good. So many choices if cheese,very tasty and the wine isn’t bad either. Nice for a chilled,relaxing evening or beginning of a night out.

Visited here with my partner on Valentines Day! Couldn’t fault the service from the word go. We opted for the £35 sharing platter and it was delicious! A great selection of cheese and meats. The red wine we were recommended did not disappoint, tasted amazing! We will definitely be returning.

If you’re a fan of top quality craft cheeses and very decent wine this is the perfect venue. A warm greeting and attentive service complement a truly remarkable experience for the cheese gastronome. Slightly off the usual beaten track but totally worth the effort. Give it a try - you won’t regret it!

We visited Joanna’s yesterday evening for the first time and had a brilliant visit.The hospitality was outstanding and the cheeses/platters and wines on offer were also varied and excellent.There was also some excellent entertainment on which was a young lady playing accoustic guitar which was the right volume and created a lovely atmosphere. This was the first time we had been to a place like this and we will definitely 100% be returning. If you were in two minds about trying it out then I recommend that you do, you won’t be disappointed.

We were lucky enough to win a free " taster board " in a Facebook competition, 10 asstd cheeses on crackers, lots of types of cheese i have never heard of never mind tasting. Very well presented. Alas i don't really drink alcohol so i had a sprite. Would recommend if you want a peaceful slow paced evening.

What an absolute little gem of a place. This is my second visit and although a birthday party was in full swing when we arrived we just managed to grab the last table. We were joined later by family and this too was accommodated with no fuss. Excellent service, good wine, fully stocked bar and two delicious sharing platters ensured there was something to please everyone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and the quiz! Definately recommended.

On arriving i did't find the front signage welcoming, dreary green colour blended it into obscurity. I was expecting something a bit more 'swanky' for a cheese & wine bar.

Had great cheese and wine platter here during and evening with friends. Hospitable couple very friendly. Cheese was tasty and plenty of refills of bread and crackers. Good house wine with sharing platter for two for £35 was super value. Quiet ambience and music. Only reason I didn’t give 5* was that maybe could benefit from more soft furnishings and more comfortable seating but I’m sure this will come in time

Just off the promenade at the north end of Blackpool is a great little place for chatting to your family and friends with cheese and wine to eat and drink.

I love my cheese and wine , this place just wasn't for me lacks atmosphere altogether

I visited Joanna’s on a wet and windy Thursday evening with my father. Adrian and Heidi (owners) were extremely welcoming and assisted us with which cheeses to select. The range of cheese and wine was fantastic and the quality exceptional. The products offered in this restaurant are of the same quality which you would find in any city centre establishment. My favourite was the charcoal cheese. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Blackpool and the Fylde coast. This is a local business owned by two people who are very passionate about wine and cheese

Fancied a continental dinner and wanted to try Joanne's since I heard how good it was from a few friends some weeks back. Last night was the night. And what a delight it was. Easy to find. Just around the corner from the new Ma Kellys. North shore so you can steer clear of the traffic chaos currently being experienced in Blackpool town centre.

Visited on a Friday evening just for a glass of wine - or two! Loved the Riesling! Will be back to try the cheeses.

Dropped in this evening after being recommended, not disappointed. Only had a couple of glasses of very nice wine and some olives.

Staff here are so helpful, will recommend what wine, happily describe the cheeses and wines to you. We got a goats cheese, garlic soft cheese, charcoal cheddar and jalapeños jack cheese. Our absolute favourite was the goats cheese!! So creamy. We got the platter for £35 and was brilliant, plenty for your money. Also the restaurant had lovely acoustic covers on in the background which added to the aroma

Great selection of cheese and wines. Not over priced like some places. Staff are really friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the lack of comfy seating, a couple of couches wouldnt go a miss.

This place is our favourite after dinner haunt. The owners are great and the service is fantastic, but that pales into insignificance compared to the awesome cheeses and wines available. We thought it was quite cheap too.

We booked a large table for a work event, Joanna was very accommodating when we had late people & no shows, amending the platters we booked to suit, great selection of cheese and wines even for someone like me who doesn't generally like cheese!

I visited Joanna’s a few weeks ago (after admiring people’s pictures of it on Facebook!) and I was not disappointed. The food, the selection, the wine, the service, everything was perfect. I will be back very soon and I imagine it will be a regular place I frequent!

We recently visited Joanna's with our two children and what a lovely time we had! The team were very welcoming and the service was fantastic from start to finish. I'm not really a fan of wine but there were so many other drinks to choose from. The food was amazing (the rioja & caramelised onion cheddar is definutely one to try!) and was so nice to go for something to eat which is a bit different to the usual meal out. We'll definitely be back:)

This is the first time I have been to a Cheese and Wine restaurant and it was really great. The wine we selected was a full bodied red which was perfect with the great selection we had when we ordered the cheese board. Will be back again soon.

Went here last night with a friend and had the mixed platter with wine and it was really lovely. Wanted to try all the cheeses as there are loads!!! We'll have to go again... The staff were really friendly and deserve a success as an independent business who deserves local support. It was great value - the house wine included was easy drinking overall a great night and great value. If you love cheese and wine you'll love Joanna's!!!

I went to Joanna’s for my hen do yesterday and it was perfect. Atmosphere is so relaxed which is what we all wanted after a spa. Staff couldn’t do enough and went that extra mile. We had the place to ourselves for a few hours and could put a few decorations up. Food was amazing and you get so much for the price. Great range of different cheeses. Loved the selection of lytham gin. Catered for gluten free and vegetarians. Dog friendly as well. Every single one of us will be going back and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Visited Joannas for the first time and it was absolutely fantastic. For anyone who e joys cheese and wine this is a must! The atmosphere is so relaxed, the staff/owners are so friendly and for what you get the price if anything is undervalued. We spent over two hours but could have quite happily got more wine and stayed all night. Great place thank you for your hospitality.

We had visited here a few weeks earlier to check the place out. Really nice decor, lovely bar and good atmosphere created by the staff and those eating. We sat close to the bar this night and had a few drinks and a chat with the owner. We discovered much to our delight that the area we were sat in was dog friendly, certainly a welcome addition to Blackpool which isn't very dog friendly at all! The food looked very tempting and decided that we would return for meal. We sat in the main restaurant and ordered a beer and I had the bottle of red wine included in the price and my wife had a bottle of Prosecco. We started off with olives, pickled gherkins and silverskin onions, followed by our choice of four cheeses, crackers, various meats, grapes and chutneys. We eat out regularly and quite often over indulge with food, but what we found was that apart from really enjoying the meal, we weren't stuffed at the end of it. It was perfectly balanced.

Too much cheese, not enough wine.

Great quality cheese, passable wines, & quality cold meats. Yet, I could just buy the same products locally & serve them at home?!?

So visited this place last night with friends after hearing about it on Facebook. We booked through there facebook page which is a first for me and was painless. We got a message 24 hrs and 1 hour before our booked time which was very handy.

Brilliant place for a nice romantic evening, 5 * service coupled with a great selection of cheese and wine, I would highly recommend.
