Jitterbug in Ceredigion

A fantastic Bar/ Bistro , only been open 12 months I believe. The Decor is amazing and the Staff go above and beyond to welcome you. Went there on my birthday for a few drinks and bite to eat, the Welsh Cawl ( a Welsh Stew) was the best I’ve ever tasted. Dogs are allowed in the ground floor bar, the Boss let us have a look at the wonderful decor upstairs while he looked after our dog Cerys. Fantastic place to chill out, we will be back soon.

What a great place to find, very good selection of wines and cocktails. Owner was absolutely lovely, very welcoming atmosphere and the interior design is stunning - would highly recommend

Beautifully decorated venue- we went on New Year's Eve, and was taken aback at how tastfully decorated the venue was- I look forward to go back in the Summer to be able to sit on the upstairs balcony. Staff were attentive and polite- and everything reasonably priced. Great venue! And dog friendly!

Definitely not a family venue they do t want children there at all Owner was v rude Didn’t want to engage with anyone was just walking around telling everyone she was the owner

Had a great evening in New year's eve, travelled 130 miles to spend new years eve there. I actually clocked the incident with customers and staff in regards to the Trip adviser, review titled "VERY VERY POOR AND SAD", dated 31/12/23 Unfortunately that appears to have been done by troublemakers who clearly visited the bar, looking for trouble, and had no interest apart from causing an atmosphere, as was NYE. As an off duty police officer was surprised they were not asked to leave as they conduct was appauling, and glad they were refused entry to the other bar, as clearly went there to cause issues also. Sad sad people.

New Year’s Eve me my partner and two kids 11-15 I was met at the bar by the owner an old lady who asked why I was buying a pint and half off cider not sure why as I also bought 2 half’s off cola and a jack Daniel’s 5 mins after being there no seats so stood near the window the owner came over and asked why the kids was touching her decorations Apologised and she asked her slave ( member off staff to put a table in front off the children so they couldn’t touch her decorations ) We left as this was just silly and moved on to the sea horse inn which we was refused to be served as she owns that as well and had rang them and told them to refuse us service so we left both places are as bad as each other and a bit off a poor effort for a nice place x

Absolutely horrible owner an old woman at the bar who would tell anyone that would listen to her she was the owner Was with my family never felt so uncomfortable by an old woman before in New Year’s Eve Avoid if you want a good time

What a beautiful place, very clean and classy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning and definitely highly recommend a visit

What a lifeline this bar is for New Quay - it's stylish, fun, modern, warm and friendly, it's trendy, yet comfortable. Most importantly though - it's open when most other venues are closed and deserted. Thank you Jitterbug - you're an oasis of life and civilisation in an often too quiet seaside town. I'll be back soon, keep the beers cold. Great job.

Walked in here and though we knew it was going to be lovely, the decor exceeded expectations- what a beautiful little spot to add to Newquay! Extensive choice of coffees and hot drink along with some of the most delicious looking cakes in the display. Food menu for lunchtime was simple but good, including a selection of toasties and ciabattas (no vegan options which was a little sad) but the hot chocolate & packet of crisps sufficed! Great selection of drinks and cocktails, fab spot for a weekend get together 🍹 Friendly staff, good wifi, dogs allowed, can’t fault it really! (Minus the vegan options 🙏🏼)

Amazing bar with outdoor balcony seating ! Fantastic espresso martini’s. Great lighting and indoor seating, loved it here.

We have been here a few times always a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and the best cheese and tomato toastie you will ever taste . I would highly recommend a visit

Popped in for coffee this morning and I have to say it's the best cup of coffee I've had in New Quay,highly recommend,not tried food yet but will definitely be returning👍

We popped here for pre- and post- dinner drinks. Great location and staff were really friendly. We sat outside on our first visit and enjoyed the views of the beach and harbour/marina. Then on our return, inside for cocktails! A very nice espresso martini and a strawberry daiquiri (both on tap and quite decent for the price!) They even let us stay inside to wait for our taxi rather than brave the cold! 

Fantastic cafe, beautiful ambiance , art decor fantastic, clean, tidy, dog friendly , could not ask for more .only thing is they maybe need to offer more food

This place looks amazing, was really impressed with the decor inside. Big city vibes in a small seaside town, plus you'll get a nice sea view from the balcony!

I and my family have been visiting New Quay and the surrounding area for more than 50 years and in that time witnessed the boom years inthe sixties and seventies and the decline in later years. Jitterbugs is like a breath of fresh air, just what holidaymakers and local people needs. Long may it be successful.

Haven’t been to new quay for a few years but found this bar to be a lovely addition with a lovely atmosphere and view from the upstairs terrace. Staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. Will definitely come back ♥️

Stopped off for coffee whilst walking the Welsh Coastal Path. Great coffee and outside seating area above the street. Owners v friendly, couldn't ask for more!

Great service friendly staff a really nice pub . Would definitely recommend and go again when back in the area . Well worth a visit .

Just popped in for a coffee with the family and am blown away by how nice this place is. Polite and attentive staff manning the bar. The place is spotless especially the toilets. The coffee was of a very high standard (vanilla latte). Excellent sea views on the balcony. This will also be a really good spot for a night out of which we will give a try as soon as we can.

What a stunning little place, the decor is amazing really friendly and welcoming staff and the food and drink was great too couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend a visit and would definitely go back again.

An absolutely gorgeous place! The decor is very Art Deco and is super clean and absolutely stunning. The first time I have ever taken a pic of loos!!! The staff were really lovely and friendly, the food was good quality and very decent portion (I can recommend the nachos) and the cocktails are tasty and quite potent. A great place!

One of my first times out in new quay. Went to this place because it looks “instagram worthy”. The blonde manager, Ciara I believe, she was very abrupt with me and my friend. Saying after the baby Guinness wasn’t made correctly by the staff (by the way, the staff were amazing and friendly) she replied “you aren’t in London, you are in Wales” which my friend found abrasive as she was trying to help and educate the staff in a friendly way. For an establishment that charges above average for drinks in the area, the managers should spend more time training their staff on how to make good drinks. Because it was definitely not the fault of the staff! The two guys behind the bar were very friendly and attentive. I am traveling from France but my cousin is local. We will not be returning.

Lovely place, great decore, very 20s. The ladies who served us were friendly and professional. We enjoyed a coffee and lovely cake. Prices very reasonable and they are also dog friendly.

Amazing bar probably the only place in New quay you can just drink without ordering food! But downside the staff had no conversation with customers such a shame ! The young men had no experience of the wine on offer & no interest in general chic chat shame ! Such an amazing bar right next to where we stayed for the week ! Thumbs up to the owner though . I Did Love the Pound shop but what a Transformation.!!! Well Done Great to see a more up to date bar in Newquay . Visited with my mom for a drink or 2. Excellent pints at a fair price. Young lady and gentleman served me....

Didn't rate food because we only drank there yesterday 1st July. What an outstanding transformation from the poundstore to this top class establishment. Same owner that had and run the shop , cracking , friendly staff. The amount of work that has been carried out to a very high standard. Great place to pop in and have a drink (check out the toilets) all the best for a successfull year from the coalminer 😆

A great place to chill out, dogs allowed downstairs, upstairs people only. The view from the balcony is amazing, you can see the resident dolphins from it if you are lucky. The beer, well they sell my favourite beer so all is good. The staff are polite and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.
