Jilani's in Manchester

Food was terrible and everything was flawed. The chicken was over-grilled , soggy and tasted of washing up liquid, the chips needed salt and the sauces did not compliment the food and felt out of place. The karak chai was too sweet and not potent enough. The waffle I ordered was undercooked and still had raw batter inside. The waiter put a group of loud and annoying women in the booth next to us despite the whole resteraunt was unsurprisingly empty which was an inconvenience as I had to listen to their conversations in the quiet resteraunt. In conclusion I would not reccomend this in any way and quite frankly I feel sorry for anyone who walked in the resteraunt with the thought of having good food.

The food was way expensive for the quality. Lamb-chops were dry. Same food with better quality can be found in other restaurants on same road. Not recommended.

We always go there for their famous lamb chops, and it was always a hit the spot thing. Our today visit was rather bitter. We ordered lamb chops and grilled prawns, guess what it didn’t have the usual taste, no proper salt and no flavour. Upon asking the guy who served us went up to manger/owner and came up with the silliest excuse oh we sell this everyday nobody complains, like we were making this up. I went yo speak to the owner, and he went oh my mum marinates it! So what bro? If the food has no taste it has no taste, we were there to eat, to enjoy our food, no to listen to crap on complain that I sold 50 of them today, nobody complained! Well if they must had knew your unacceptable attitude towards customers. What a shit customer service! You lost long coming customers! Meh

We had a fantastic experience at Jalanis . The food was absolutely brilliant—every dish was flavourful, fresh, and beautifully presented. What truly impressed us was the addition of a prayer room. It’s such a thoughtful and practical idea, and it really shows how much they care about their customers’ comfort and needs. Staff is brilliant and providing excellent service ! Overall, a wonderful place to dine, and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

The waiter was excellent because he knew the floor was slippery and quickly dried it, he knew what he was doing while the restaurant was busy, the food waiting time was very quick and the food portion was good!

Had a group meal here, a good few of us. The waiter was young, dumb and inexperienced 🤣 I really just wanted to help him out Everyone in the group ordered lamb chops 🤔 I ordered chicken steak. I was expecting it to but on a sizzling platter like the standard shebang. The chicken had this bitter taste, maybe from the burnt marinade.. idk, i don't think I've tasted something like this before where it's almost unpalatable. They offer no reduced sugar, diet fizzy drinks which is really meh because some of us are careful of our sugar intake! Clean aesthetic and well lit. That's about it

I came here yesterday with my whole family. The service was lovely from start to finish, our waiter was so polite, quick serving and honest. The food was impeccable. The lamb chops are insane, and the classic cheeseburger never fails to satisfy me. The food was also ready and brought out at a reasonable and good time, and it was most definitely fresh too. I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Great food and really fast service.

I was walking down Wimslow Rd when this beautifully decorated spot caught my attention. Highly recommend samosa chaat and chai latte, they are banging. I also ordered beef burger. Beef patty was nicely seasoned and cooked. I didn't like the bun tho. Service was awesome as well. Thank you, I had a lovely lunch and will come back.

We got the jilanis mix platter with naan, jilanis cheese burger with chips, samosa chat, American style pancakes and the sweet delight waffle All of the food was very nice and tasty except for the waffle, it just didn't match the same quality that Jilanis usually offers Also the portions sizes could do with being bigger, for example, in the samosa chat you just get one samosa, or the cheese burger pattie was small in size Service wise, very good, the waiters were always available and helped when necessary

The best lamb chops. You don't need to order anything else but lamb chops here. Oh yeah and their desserts are awesome, especially their Ferrero Rocher mousse.

Last Friday I was at jilani,s resturant with my some special guests from spain 🇪🇸 and islamabad pakistan 🇵🇰, we ordered food but believe me very disappointed quality . It was not cooked good . Lamb Grill was not able to eat , it was looking that they just get from refrigerator and put in oven and present. Chicken portion was good but lamb was very very very bad. I never like to recommend this resturant.

Chicken had a bit of a smell and the desserts were extremely average.

I always come here with my mother and my elderly father who has Dementia. I cannot tell you how much the staff always look after us and how attentive they are. There is a real warm, homely feel whenever we go to Jilani’s and that’s why we always come back and always recommend everyone else to go. The food is amazing, especially the lamb chops! This place is truly family friendly and has family friendly prices also. Could not recommend enough!

I've already reviewed Jilani Food, and I can confidently say it never disappoints—always flavorful and beautifully cooked! The food is consistently served on nice platters, making it as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. Everything is spot on! Yesterday, I also tried the desserts, and I was truly impressed by the waffles and rasmalai. They were incredibly tasty! 😋

Worst of the wordt restaurent ever seen in manchester. Serving was very bad as compare to other restaurants. And they started moping while we were eating. Disgusting

We came to get some dessert but what was on offer didn't look overly appealing. We ended up getting some fresh sweet paan which was really nice. Service was fine. I do think though the walkway near the toilet needs looking at and the entrance to the female toilet as I nearly tripped on the metal strip. Bit of a hazard!

Very clean. Food was different which is what you need in a world full of curry. Not heavy at all. Very tasty. Service was impeccable. Impressed with the youngest boy. Will definitely come back. Extremely good value for money. Desserts look fabulous as well

Great food at a fair price the deserts are so scrumptious. The service is quick and very attentive but I'm not keen on staff walking around.

Me and my husband came here for dessert as we have never been here before, he really wanted Pink Tea, so we got the pot for 2. I ordered the pistachio cheesecake and he ordered the rasmali. The pink tea, I'm sorry but it was not nice, and did not taste like pink tea, we expected it to taste somewhat similar to chaiiwalas, it just tasted of pink coloured milky tea which was really disappointing. The Rasmali was standard nothing really special about it. But the cheesecake was amazing! Hence the 4 stars. My husband isn't a cheesecake fan but even he enjoyed it so 10/10 for the cheesecake! A lot of people ordered the mixed grill and lamb chops, so we may come back to give the food a go!

I have been coming here for years with family and friends. Recently (last week) me and my fiancé visited the restaurant. The service has gone down hill so much so that we had to walk back out and get our milkshakes from else where. Staff will not make you feel welcome, in fact will look you up and down and stereotype you and presume because you’re stood with a white man he can’t possibly be a revert (not that should matter). Racism works both ways! They did not so much ask if we needed a menu they just stared us up and down and exchanged glances with each other to the point where i felt so uncomfortable that we just left. I have mentioned this to my family as this is somewhere we regularly visit. Coming from a family that owns our own hospitality business, this is not the way to treat customers. Sickening.

Atmosphere was really great people were coming in and out it was really busy. Bought drinks. My vanilla latte was extremely extremely hot! Which burnt my tongue. Although once it cooled down it was nice. We were told to wait 15 minutes due to the rush. But we sat down much quicker than that. Prices are reasonable. The staff were very kind, and welcoming, but the man in the paan section was rude and abrupt.

One of the best restaurants in every tried,the food was perfection,the staff keeps asking if we need anything and how was the food. The service was fast even though the restaurant was full,the hospitality was great,even the manager kept checking if everything was okay and when we went to pay it was so fast . DIGUSTING FOOD HYGIENE STANDARDS - STOCKING UNREFRIDGERATED MEAT I was walking in Rusholme earlier when a white Audi car had plastic bags filled with fresh meat in its BOOT on the HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR. The Audi car was making deliveries of fresh meat with it crammed in its UNREFRIDGERATED BOOT. Transporting fresh meat and fish at incorrect temperatures can result in bacterial growth making it dangerous for human consumption. It was about 9PM when two staff from Jilani's (an older Asian male with a long, grey beard and a younger Asian boy) were taking meat from the boot of this car into the shop! Disgusting procedures. Do NOT eat there whilst they have these kind of practices going on! It's completely and utterly wrong.

We had milk tea ( has a different name o. The menu) and Channa Chat. Tea was great. However, channa Chat was cold out of refrigerator. This dish falls under roadside street food as per the menu, and street food is never cold unless sweets.

We only had hot choclate and karak chai Subhan'Allah nice and fresh not like some off these places where its been sitting in the plastic bowl and served. Defo will come bk with family and try the mix platter.👌

We walked and saw this place and thought we'd come back and have some deserts. The place is very tastefully decorated and I love how much space there is. It's very spacious and the seats are not squashed together like in some places. Service was awesome, refreshing to see staff in uniform and available at all time. Menu is very decent and all the food, all deserts, was lovely and no issues at all. We got carried away and ordered more deserts after the first lot and yet our bill was very reasonable for what we had. You honestly don't feel like you on Wilmslow Road in Manchester being sat inside here, feels like you in a high end desert place in the Middle East. Highly recommend for sure.

Food is amazing but my favourite thing about this place is the prayer room they have open to everyone. So many times I’ve been on Winslow Road needing to pray somewhere and have used their facility. This is what keeps me coming back as a loyal customer

My two daughters and myself visited today as a treat for me for Father’s Day. Really enjoyed every aspect of our visit there. Food was glorious, staff were polite and friendly and I really felt relaxed in every way possible. Added this to the top of my favourite dining lists. Thankyou to all the staff (and my two daughters of course).

I went today 02/06/24 to jilani Manchester. Ordered a grill burger my burger came within 10 mins fist bite and it was so hard tryen cut it with a knife but won’t cut thru. Discusting taste looks as if boiled chicken with sauces on top but sorry didn’t even look like grilled burger when am thinking abwt it . It’s making me sick never again.

We ordered mixed grill, lamb chops, chicken wings and a few different starters. I can honestly say the lamb chops were a killer. Good size, tender and absolutely delicious. Ended up ordering another portion it was that good. The meats over all were succulent and just really tasty. Desert it was some ice creams, cake and falooda. Falooda was good and as authenticate you will get. Got chatting to the owner who was really friendly and the atmosphere and decor was great.

It was ok staff is nice like all the other restaurants on that road well over priced but I guess everything is. I ordered karak chai which was definitely not made the way it should have it was a sachet tea they just poured some hot water in hated it

Could try better..was told by the student worker, that once we become regular, we will get better service .what a thing to say. The owner with the long beard, needs to improve the culture too!!

Then tried a waffle which was hard and overcooked . Cones and some ice cream out of stock . Just a poor experience and won’t go back there . I wouldn’t recommend it at all and terrible for iftari

My advice avoid this Place. Apparently only good thing they do is the lamb chops. I want food NOT Starters. Got the signature chicken platter, all black charcoal..took more time scraping that off than eating also chicken slightly undercooked. Then got the Flamed cheese burger as didt want to have more chicken.. Burger was more dry than the Sahara Desert..no flavour whatsoever ..put chilli sauce in it but still horrible. Seek kebab starters.. DRYYY. What a waste of time and Money. Didt even bother with the desserts. Told staff about the dislike and he could only apologise as its not his dads business. Total rating if I'm being nice 2/10.

Grilled lamb chops and lamb tikka was delicious. Chips were overcooked. Naan was perfect. Pineapple juice tasted watered down. New decor looks really good. Portion sizes too small for what they were. Mixed grill for £17 didn’t even fill up one person. Milk chocolate fondue was good however marshmallows were wet from the water In the bowl. Overall Jilani’s has loads of potential. Just little things need some thought to it. Portions need to be increased. Dry the bowls before serving. A juice not from concentrate would be better.

Terrific comfortable place for a good day out with friends or family. The food is amazing as well, a variety of options to choose from and an amazing service provided by the staff. Definitely recommended! 😁

What a treat this place was, truly amazing!! Me and a Dear Brother (Sadeem) went along in the evening and had a great time at Jilani's We ordered the Strawberry & Nutella Waffle along with a Scoop of Pistachio Ice Cream, a Pink Tea with a sprinkle of almonds and a Mint Tea for my Dear Brother! Honestly the Waffle was prepared to perfection and presented with alot of care and thought, it looked as good as it tasted 😋 The restaurant was amazingly clean along with a chilled atmosphere, the music wasn't too loud and the staff were very polite and courteous. Jilani's has an amazing selection of food to suit the young and old so give this place a try as I know you won't be disappointed in the slightest. We plan on trying the Lamb Chops Platter next time as my Dear Brother has recommended we do so and I'm sure it'll be just as good if not better. They have onsite toilets and they're also children friendly with high stairs available etc Look forward to our next outing at Jilani's 😉👍🏼

Just discovered this lovely little coffee shop in Bolton. Would highly recommend. Nice atmosphere, food is delicious and friendly staff.

AVOID: RAW FOOD & MULTIPLE OTHER REVIEWS SAYING THE SAME. young boys are very rude. Chefs incompetent & unable to cook a burger through when requested. We are aware of gourmet burgers, but if someone requests it cooked through just some advice. Turn the heat down & cook longer. Instead they brought me back a still raw/cold in the middle burger which was now burnt. Girls on the table next to me had raw lamb chops & straight away removed from their bill & apologised non stop. Had to request this off the manager for myself… then I finally got an apology. Won’t be visiting again.

My chicken thighs were pink and raw. I requested to send them back, and cooked them again but the chicken was still pink. I requested something else so got the lamb chops, but they didn’t taste like lamb. There was a black hair in my ice cream. Left the restaurant feeling sick and had an upset stomach, ew please find somewhere so as not to be disappointed.

Got Cheese Cake from here for Anniversary and it was not fresh at all we just took one bite and threw it all away Disappointed Spoke to the staff the next day Unprofessional behaviour

Went there with a couple of my Muslim brothers, the whole time I thought the employees were plotting a scheme to jump us with the death stares I was unconsentually receiving. Other than that food banged and was a healthy price!

It's been a while since I went to Jilanis. They had a refurbishment in which does look nice. The ambience does have an appeal to it. Now going on to the food that we had, I wasn't too happy. It is a bit on the expensive side from the portion that you actually get. I just think the flavouring of the foods is below average. I ordered barbecue wings. I couldn't not taste any barbecue sauce on the wings I had. The "barbecue" wings have the same coating as thier chicken burgers, and thier grilled chicken. So going on to our mixed grill. So for mixed grill, you get 2 lamb chops, 1 seek kebab 2 pieces of chicken which is quoted in the same chicken sauce and some lamb pieces. I have to say that platter was poor for the price you had to pay. I did get a variety of foods. Overall Bogstandard food nothing special.

I've been wanting to visit Jilanis for a while as it seems to have a very good reputation however I'd class it as average at best. Visited mid day and had the samosa chaat starter which had quite a spicy tingle to it but the samosa was rock hard. Followed by half peri chicken and rice. The rice was microwaved and no real flavour. The half chicken was dry and no level of covering it marinade could recover it.

Had the gol gappas which were good. The chicken tikka (pictured) was soooo good

When i first went and tried jilanis i left with a bad stomach, didnt think anything of it. But i went again today with family and me and a family member got bad stomach because of it. I think food is undercooked. The food does not taste good tbh more bland than anything. We got the chicken tikka and lamb chops platters. Definitely not going there again.

Our first time visiting this establishment to eat. Jilani's came highly recommended by my cousin and niece. They both recommended the Lamb chops. Absolutely delicious, finger licking good.
