I don't like giving bad reviews, its tough times out there, and I am firm believer in giving owners the opportunity to put things right, unfortunately if they don't pick up the phone then its a bit difficult! not only this but I rang their sister restaurant (Heritage Dulwich) who were very polite on the phone, but didn't ring back! - to cut a long story short, I have ordered 3 deliveries from them, each one has been Late, but the most recent was ridiculous and almost an hour late. The food itself is great, but the service is very poor, the owner Dhayanka Sharma seems to be great on the food, but lacking on the service side!

Jhakaas means ‘awesome’ in Hindi, and it’s no understatement. This new place (under the same ownership as a full restaurant in nearby Dulwich) only does takeaways, and the menu is reassuringly short. But we were bowled over by the quality of our first meal from there. Everything was fresh and tasted home made, service (in response to our telephone order to collect ourselves) was friendly and efficient, and quantities were quite generous. There’s no shortage of good Indian restaurants and takeaways in these parts, but this sets a new standard. We’ll be back for sure.

Visitamos el Gurkha's sabor anoche y estaba un poco preocupado al principio porque era muy tranquilo. Sin embargo, cuando la comida llegaba nos sorprendimos gratamente y realmente disfrutamos de los platos que elegimos.Para empezar, el Momo de verduras al vapor verduras estas bolas probado encantador. Al lado, Pollo Tikka Masala, Pollo Makhani con 2 porciones de verduras y 2 porciones de arroz ajo Naan y un lado de Bindi, que todos sabían increíble!Mi plato estaba limpia, ya que me había terminado la calificación de 4 es para la comida, la decoración sin duda con una renovación, pero no impidió volver.Gracias!

244 Lewisham High StreetWe were greeted politely with a warm friendly smile. The food was absolutely delicious. I even enjoyed the popadoms, and I don't like popadoms but these were nice. The staff was friendly , curtious and helpful. I am looking forward to the next time I get to go. My friend who goes dining out more often than me, said that the prices are very reasonable.
