Jersey Farm Chinese Cuisine in St Albans

If I could give 0 stars I would. Evening was totally ruined. Please see videos included, it literally turned up as shown in the videos - The vast amount of onion and nonexistent rubbery squid was in this “Yummy” disgusting sauce which tasted like watered down store bought sriracha. The duck wasn’t even cooked properly and had raw fat, that was also mostly onion and had no flavour. If you love onions you’ll love this place. Called to complain and all they offered is a 20% discount of my next order. £27 for mostly onions and inedible flavour. Never ever again. No love or care put into the food and zero respect for customers, we won’t be ordering again.

First time ordering and glad we did. Excellent value. Crispy duck was amazing. Food delivered hot and well packaged.

Great authentic Chinese meals. I have used them since Po Che closed down and I can not fault them at all. Fantastic food, non greasey, large portions, quick delivery and good customer service.

Star rice is delicious. Highly recommended! ! !

Phoned at half 6, told delivery would be 15 to 20 minutes. After 45 mins I phoned back and was told ' so sorry I thought it was collection, what's your address again? I promise its freshly prepared and will be with you in 10 mins' How can it be freshly prepped if youve forgotten the order for over half an hour?I've always backed this place to my mates despite their one star health rating, but I now understand how they have their reputation in St Albans.

Really bad food. Arrived over two hours late and was cold. All of the sauces were like jelly and completely tasteless. Worst Chinese I've had in long time

Most authentic chinese food ive had in the south in a long time....the duck dishes were absolute perfection!

Awful food standards and was shut down in the middle of our order because had no hand washing facilities, And theb still called us to fulfil our order! BEWARE!

Always good value and tasty, with large portions - usually more than we can eat. Been going there for many years now.

Great value for money, over £10 cheaper than my local for more food! Some things are better at the other chinese but can't complain about it at all. Shame they stopped delivering to my postcode as that's lost a good 10-15 orders as we didn't want to drive everytime.

Great portion size, delicious food!

Absolutely shockingly Poor! Worst service ever! A few days back we had ordered from here as it late and we thought it was a quick go to. We hit order and started waiting. This is were it went downhill for them. About 2 hours later we were still waiting for our food so we decided to call and get a refund. But they weren't having it. They were refusing to give us the refund even though we had been waiting for 2 hours . Such bad service. Would not recommend again.

Amazing! Visited on off now for many years & always great so I don’t understand the reviews. Very generous, very tasty and fast. Usually always a bag of prawn crackers. Thank you 🙏

Ordered a few times now, can’t speak for the meat as I’m vegetarian, but most of the time meals are delicious, delivery came in time (around 45min) food still hot 😋 and delivered by a very kind gentleman who seems like the owner with a big smile on his face. Great customer service, very polite ladies on the phone too. Thanks

Would give a zero if i could really avoid this chinese don't waste your money you wait 2hours for your food and then it's cold and sauce is like jelly it's just unacceptable,a takeaway should be a treat not a stressful experience and if you want you could cook a Chinese better and faster yourself,AVOID!AVOID! Its so sad used to be such a lovely Chinese😔

Cold food for the fourth and last time. Delivery time is a laugh as always late. Sweet and sour sauce was jelly like when it arrived Such a shame as was once a really good takeaway.

food was great, especially the spring rolls and chicken skewers. provided a lot of extra items for free (fortune cookies, prawn crackers, a lot of veg spring rolls and a cabbage salad i think). delivery was fast. will order again.

Just collected a take away, crispy lamb, beef fried noodles and beef in black bean sauce. Lamb very oily with tough bits, noodles tasteless and bean sauce watery. Will not be returning. Awful food.

Used to be my go to Chinese , just received a cold meal after over an hour wait! Something has changed so I will be trying elsewhere next time. A real shame!

We came here coz 1 nearest to us, just was getting to salty&bland,then they closed. At first this place was lovely&we were amazed by the freebies& quantity &taste. But over few years it's not been tasting the same&found certain days tasted nicer. All their chicken meals are bland tasteless,such a shame as so many are our favourites, but can't get from here as tasteless.. well least the beef Curry usually always good, but recently months now, there has been times just not same or as nice. Even their beef chow mein which a fav,we can't get here as it tastes so odd,esp the beef. Well tonight we had meal& it was horrible. Nothing tastes the same, batter on lemon chicken been reheated, rubber& hard.. No nothing was good, where on earth can we find a decent nice normal good old fashioned Chinese takeaway? Everyone we tried tastes the same horrible, maybe at first good then straight downhill. Sigh :'(. Used b my favourite type food,takeaway now I am starting to hate it tbh .

First time I have used this take-away as it is now the closest to my new home. Unfortunately not great. Simple order. Sweet & Sour Chicken in Batter. Sauce was disgusting and Batter was over cooked on the outside and thick stodge inside with pre cooked dry chicken . These were obviously reheated as the batter was tough and chewy. Ribs were very fatty and Chicken Chow Mein was tasteless with carrots as a majo ingredient? Pancake rolls were inedible due to batter being too thick and once again stodgy. Will give it a few months and try again but not sure on this experience that this place will still be there.

Just had a takeaway delivered and I have to say it was awful and bland! Food was cold, the duck for the pancakes was already shredded with all the fat on and lt was terrible(I prefered it when they sent it as it was in the bag to slice yourself) it was stodgy and really not nice at all. I won't be ordering from here again as its gone really down hill over the past 6 months. Nearly £40 down the drain as standards have really fallen here.

Always so delicious, on time, loads of flavor, and always fortune cookies and sometimes freebies!

First takeaway from here & was very nice. Very hot even after 3 mile drive home. Recommend

First time iv ordered booked a delivery on line booked a time slot and it was late I was paying cash on delivery driver said they don’t give change,the curry tasted very salty ended up putting it to waste,definitely a no no for me and my partner won’t be ordering again.

Best chinese in St.albans in my opinion, lots of choice great size portions, friendly helpful staff, the more you get the more free stuff they give you and its not just prawn crackers I'm talking veggi samosa & coleslaw aswell! 10/10 on flavour great value for money!

DO NOT TRY THIS TAKEAWAY! Food was horrible and arrived cold!! Prawns were rubber and frankly disgusting. I rang the restaurant and they argued with me. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Nice food just got bored off it

Not pleasant at all. Generally tasteless with very undercooked sweet and sour balls bordering on raw. The sweet sour sauce was vinegary gloop. The beef pieces in one dish were undercooked with rubber chicken. It did arrive quickly and hot but sorry, horrid.

Very impressive operation. Food spot on and orders always seem to include a few extras which are of the same standard. Recommended.

Crispy duck was superb, lots of it and lots of veggies as well. Ordered extra pancakes which was necessary considering the amount of duck. Well pleased with our first ever order.
