2025 update - Hard pass. The staff look miserable, so It's not for me. Prices too

This has to be the best bakery I have been to in years. When I travel up from London I always make a point to come here. The pancakes are divine, the crispie cakes delicious. According to my husband the Welsh Cakes are almost as good as the homecooked ones his Grandma from Wales us to make!!! The staff are fabulous. I highly recommend!!!!

If you're lucky enough to get served by Kathy on a Sunday afternoon, make sure you are a good catch as she'll more than likely throw your food across the counter! Cold, dry sausage roll, no wonder everyone goes to Gregg's!

Este solía ser el mejor lugar para conseguir un pastel de ternera de maíz en todo el sur de Gales. Hoy en día parecen haber cambiado la receta o los ingredientes y ya no saben lo mismo y a menudo están fríos. Voy a Greggs ahora, ya que aunque me gusta apoyar a los locales se han puesto tan malos que solo los tiro a las gaviotas. Qué pena.

Good bakery with a choice of pastry and sandwiches. Staff are friendly no place to dine however there are benches around the area

The server got my order entirely wrong because she was too busy talking about a customer with another customer. How rude! I asked for sausage rolls, and was given pasties.

Very rude staff, and bread is barely edible as it's way too dry and hard. Go in the bin at the end.

Savory is alright (not amazing) cakes are revolting, always look good but go in the bin right away.

Lush chicken and mushroom pasties. Much nicer than the rival bakery just up the street. Mmmmm!

They are never open until the times that’s put up. My partner went there at 4:30pm and they were closed, it states 6pm online and on their doors it says 5pm.. Misleading and disappointing because the food is beautiful and the staff are lovely aswell.

great texture and absolutely mouth watering treats.

Went here last week, watched a male member of staff walk in off the street and then start pulling all the rolls and sandwiches forward on the shelf. Clearly merchandising but found it quite unhygienic in the times we are in. I did actually go to Greggs after this as I wanted a sandwich. Staff are always friendly but this fell short in my eyes.

I love Jenkins so much yummy food and the staff ate always friendly

Lunch deal is great value for money and the staff here are friendly which is why I keep on returning here.

Great bread and pastries and good service.

I really like the steak and ale pies and the minced beef and onion.Also great custard slices.Great products reasonably priced.

We always buy my our Chelsea buns here , Expensive at £1.50 a pack of two but delicious. Their sausage rolls are very tasty as well

Love a Jenkins has a more home made classic bakery feel than other high street baker's. All ways good service and I feel value for money is a great factor in me going back.

Waited ages in line to be served. Staff were grumpy and unhelpful. Food wasn't great. Wouldn't visit again.

Only thing that lets them down is it's a bit pricey

Their collection of pasties are fabulous. Spicy chicken and vegetables pasty is recommended. Their bread biscuits and cakes are very popular as well. Better to be there early if you want fresh baked food! You can also get varieties of drinks and fresh juice tea coffee etc

Good range of cakes, sandwiches & hot pastries in this fairly small bakery that has a lovely small display of celebration cakes in the window by the market entrance.
