The Copper Pot in Swansea

One of the best curries I have ever tried in any other pubs/restaurants. I would highly recommend Copper Pot to friends/families/Workmates for days out, parties, work do's etc.

If i could give no stars then i would. Called here today(bank holiday monday)with family, will never come here again. Waited 40 minutes for food to arrive ,which only arrived after we asked where the food was. When the food came out my sons gammon was cold, my chips were cold, my partners burger and chips were cold but as she was hungry she ate it. My sister's meal was cold and full of fat. When spoke to member of staff they said they would get another gammon and replacement chips. They replaced the gammon but no chips. When your recommended by family and friends to go somewhere for food you do not expect it to be cold on arrival. The shift manager offered me free drinks or desserts as a consolation which I did not want considering I spent nearly £100 on cold food. Mentioned about a refund which the shift manager Jordan refused. Told family and friends who recommended coming here as they are regular visitors and they also said they will no longer be going there. As well as this review an email will also be sent to customer services to complain.

If I could give less than one star i would. Waited 35 minutes for the food all our dishes were cold and some of it inedible asked for new portions of chips cos all cold didn't recieve them. Asked one of the managers for a refund but the manager on shift refused. First time ever eating here safe to say won't ever come back. We went to burger king after so that we could actually have an edible meal

Had food on easter Monday. For a family meal .food arrived 35 min to 40 min later after we enquired where it was Food was mainly cold ...Gammon was sent back Chips cold ..asked for warm chips never received!!! A lovley female manager asked to see if we could have a refund but it was refused by the shift manager jordon Offered a complimentary free drink or dessert Safe to say will definitely not be visiting again nor recommending it Could not fault the front of house staff for trying to assist

Good value but not great quality- bland and dry mixed grill that needed a lot of sauce to eat. Service was friendly and check backs happened. With a circa 30 minute wait for food I didn't share feedback at the time as it was busy.

Popped in for a drink on way home. Caroline & Sarah were excellent. Really welcoming!

Had supper there on Tuesday 8 April. Ordered Lasagne. It came to the table burnt and dry. Sent it back.2nd Lasagne came same way. Sent it back as well.Got refund for the lasagne. My wife's supper also hardly edible. Place was dirty .Staff were surprised when I sent the food back. Table next to ours similar problem with a meal. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Went for Sunday lunch, staff were friendly and helpful. Sunday lunch wasn't the best.

Had an evening meal here while spending an evening at Premier Inn that is located next door. Food was nice and what you’d expect from a chain of pubs. Staff were friendly.

I came here after the awful board in Tescos, and im so glad I did. Tescos lost 2 customers today here. I went there for coffee and food and had to mess with a board I di not do boards I would like to see a menu either in my hand or I can see it on a billboard stand I should have been able to go to the counter and order as I couldn't i walked out of there and went to the Copper pot Excellent had a small mixed grill and a latte just the right amount for me, not greasy. You could9 actually eat the food and didn't have a desert because I was full staff very friendly will decently go back there ps loved the glass they put the Latte in.

Very nice food, great experience

People are usually very quick to hop online to share negative experiences, but I just wanted to share how great your colleagues were in my recent visit. I've attended in the day for some lunch whilst getting some work done, and where I was sat I was able to listen to colleagues and how each of them interacted with customers. So polite, attentive and just kind- something I feel a lot of places are missing nowadays. I've given 4* for the food as it wasn't bad, but the main just wasn't something I enjoyed, but I can't give anything less as it's just down to my personal preferences. My starter and dessert were lovely, however. It really made my day to see how positive and friendly the team are, and made me feel comfortable to stay and get some work done.

We visited the copper pot. Food was served quick, hot and tasty, all staff were helpful when needed, made our stay very welcoming, music levels were just right, atmosphere was so relaxing we ordered dessert to stay a little longer

What you would expect from a Hungry Horse. A few things off the menu, but nothing that we wanted. Friendly staff, we booked ahead but could have been walking as quite quiet

Amazing food and staff were very polite Went there with my parents. For starter, we had the Ultimate Big Combo:- generous portion My parents had the gammon:- very nice I had the gluten free bacon cheeseburger:- very nice and was brought out separately. The gf cheesecake was nice also

This place is vile. Disgusting food and disgusting staff. Food was burnt and not edible refused a refund and was asked to leave. Bar staff spoke to me like I had done something wrong and got very defensive. Do not recommend. This place should be shut down

I had Classic Chicken New Yorker. The portion size was just ok (one small chicken breast) The taste was nothing special just like a homemade roasted chicken breast with bbq sauce that one bought from the supermarket. Price is normal (not cheap)

Had a lovely celebration meal here with my son. The staff are so friendly, helpful and patient with customers who have extra learning needs. The food was lush. I had scampi, chips and garden peas with extra tartare sauce. My son had southern fried chicken skewers with fries and spicy rice. The drinks were on point with a slice of orange in the Fanta, and a great price for a large pinot Grigio. We even had pudding. Stick toffee pudding for me and chocolate fudge cake for him, both delicious. Left full and happy. Staff even checked on us after our meal, thanks Caroline. Definitely be back!

Our go to place for family meets and birthdays etc. Always have great service and great food

I booked for 13 people last minute for my daughters birthday, was my last resort as the restaurant we normally use messed my booking up. I have used this restaurant before a few years ago and was awful food and service on several occasions and said I would never return, but I am so glad we did as it was a really nice meal staff were very accommodating. The place seems to have made a complete u turn and everyone in our party are saying they can't wait to return thank you so much.

We went to the copper pot llansamlet for lunch today. Lunch was great, the dessert I ordered wasn't quite ready so Sue behind the bar was brilliant and sorted everything out, Great service as always.Always a joy to visit this pub, the staff are all great, our last visit was about 2 weeks ago, and we always go when in Swansea area.

I first started visiting the Copper Pot about 6 months ago and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was so have been visiting occasionally ever since. The portion sizes are always generous, piping hot and have always been served relatively fast regardless of how busy it is. One of the main reasons we enjoy going here is because the staff have always been VERY friendly, warm and welcoming. We visited last night for my sons birthday and were served by both Sarah and Rob who were absolutely exceptional. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our party of 6 and we are extremely grateful. We will definitely be returning to sample more of the lovely food but it is difficult to try other dishes now that I have become a big fan of the 'Crown of Burgers' & 'Mixed Grill.

Just visited for the first time today for a quick dinner as we were passing. Never again. The food was hanging. My daughter had crispy chicken strips served on a scoulding hot plate on a bed of sloppy onions and peppers. The chicken was dry and tasted of smoke. I had similar, with a jerk sauce. The sauce tasted like herbal tea with a dash of fag ash. My partner had a tiny, questionable tikka masala. The real highlight for me was the lovely warm welcome we received from Lucy the waitress. There's nothing quite like having somebody look down their nose at you when you enter an establishment and greet them with a smile, then they spend the entire meal hovering around the barren dining area to scowl at you and your silent, well-behaved child at every given opportunity. Not sure why my mere existence has offended her so much, but if you're looking for a warm and welcoming atmosphere then just go elsewhere and avoid the disdainful scowls of the stuck-up waiting staff whilst you're sat quietly in the corner, minding your own business, eating your god-awful food.

Came here today and the food was amazing the bar men alex was very polite and service fromsarah and rob was great. Well done all round,would highly recommend.

Went for food on weekend, and all I can say this place needs closing down and a full refurb needed. I’ve never seen such a dirty restaurant. Soon as you walk through the door you can see how dirty it is. But seeing as I’ve eaten there for many years as its local I thought the food would still be ok. The seats are in need of repair bits of wood flapping around tears in the leather (bar area) The wall that was to my daughter’s right was not only caked in dirt but also food from previous people. Wall fixtures had either been taken down or removed, but not replaced or even repaired. How the hygiene of this restaurant has not been reported previously I do not know. Now onto the food, we ordered two meals one a rump steak and chips which was just thrown on a plate and just unacceptable the steak had endless amounts of fat not only on the edges but right through the whole steak. My daughter did not eat any of it, I ordered a burger which once again was thrown together and onto a plate. The endless amounts of grease dripping from top to bottom was enough, after attempting to eat something as it was paid for I decided to complain and in fairness a refund for the food was given. I appreciate its not fine dining and never expected that. We intended just to have a quick bite to eat at a place we have visited many times. It’s a shame that the place is currently in the mess that it. Yes the hungry horse chain is cheap and cheerful and very convenient for a quick bite to eat. But something needs to be done or another local restaurant/bar will be shut down in our local area.

Large varied menu with fabulous tasty, well portioned meals served by friendly welcoming staff. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere with plenty of space for parking outside. Will definitely return.

Food was hit and miss we are a large party and on the whole the food was fine just a few small things like the steak was overcooked and there was a bit of plastic in the dounut

Popped in for a family dinner with our 3 grand kids, great food and service and kids eat all the food which is a defo plus.

First time visiting and was a bit disappointed if I'm honest food tasted ok but we ordered the beyond burger stack it came out with a few fries the burger was 2 small burgers with lots of bbq sauce (which was tasty) and some onions think this could be improved with extra garnish cheese or something but it was a bit bland the fish and chips was good the chicken sandwich was good and the Korean bbq chicken burger. Desserts the crumble and trifle baked alaska was nice the chocolate fudge cake was a bit flavourless and rubbery and the mini millionaires brownie came out with just sauce no ice cream by the time we had realised we were getting ready to go. The double chocolate frappe was very disappointing also. Not the worse place I have been but wouldn't be a first choice again. The staff were very friendly and always doing something it wasn't a terrible experience but maybe look at improving some items

Food was great. the jerk chicken was not to my taste I wanted to try it and it was nice. Can’t get better than the bbq wings, salt & pepper chips & the sticky toffee & bourbon pudding was amazing. Will be back again throughout the week.

Waited nearly an hour when it wasn’t even busy, Up there with one of the worst dinners I’ve had. Beef was all fat couldn’t even cut it with a knife. The only veg was carrots and green beans so basically waited all that time for a spoonful of microwave mash and one Yorkshire! Safe to say we will never be back again as the food and service is more awful than it used to be!

Very disappointed my steak looked like it had been reheated and was as tough as shoe leather.Peas like bullets.My husband couldn't eat his mixed grill the gammon was inedible and the chicken was tough.we left very disappointed 😔

Lovely helpful staff especially the manager sue who is very polite and helpful and absolutely outstanding deals . Me and my mum had a meal each which both were absolutely delicious and a drink each and in all it only cost £17 can't argue with that when you go to places like McDonald's and end up paying over 25 quid for two meals that don't even fill u up and is obviously made of god knows what so yes hands down to the copper pot for providing delicious fresh food at and exceptionally low price definitely recommend
