My wife and I decided to dine here as it was one of the very few restaurants that served Vegan dishes. Despite being a bit shabby in appearance, the food was definitely good! We loved the dosa pancakes as well as the Baingan Bharta. We also had some really good Chilli Mushrooms and Jeera Rice. We had a great Vegetarian and Vegan Feast.

Been there several times over from 100miles over good food but needs improving service. Went in other day as we weren’t local asked to use toilet for my little son in emergency and we were denied to use it. ‘ only customers can use it’ spent 1000’s there wouldn’t be going there anymore. Mumbai Local, Ashers better food and service then Jashans.

Just found this restaurant by chance while on the Ealing Road. Had the chili paneer and aubergine dish which was delicious. Staff were really friendly and the price was very reasonable. Will be back when in Wembley again.

The chilli paneer here is excellent, tasting quite different to other similar restaurants. All the food is quite tasty and reasonably priced. The restaurant is just let down by a dated and drab interior which needs to be refurbished.

I used to go to this restaurant all the time 15 years ago and convinced many friends to make the trip out here. After ages I thought I would try this place again in August as I was in the area shopping for Asian wedding accessories. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I went into the bathroom to wash my hands prior to eating and ordering and I was just disgusted by the smell. It was like a toilet in India that rarely (if ever gets cleaned). I was so disgusted by the smell just in the sink area I didn't even want to think about how clean the actual toilets were or the kitchen. I also don't know if the staff used the same toilets but if they do I have major concerns about the hygiene levels in this place. I walked out before ordering anything (thank God!). I will never return here again.

We were really looking forward to the meal after a tiring day. We ordered Jashan ki Peash and mogo chips. The menu stated that Jashan ki Peash will take sometime as there were a few items to be prepared for the platter. The mogo chips and the platter arrived within minutes. The platter tasted had nothing fresh on it, really disappointing. The Dosa was ok and crispy. A very small cup of masala tea cost £2.25, expected a mug for the price. Really disappointing.

Was recommended to eat here by a local shop owner. Started with the bhindi Chatpati - finely sliced okra which is then deep fried - excellent. Followed this with paneer Shahi Peshwani - paneer stuffed with vegetables, and a Masala Kulcha - similar to a nan but stuffed with spices. An excellent filling meal. Be aware that this restaurant is an alcohol free establishment. Also that it is very popular with locals.

Restaurant is in good location with parking outside and nearby. The decor is basic but very functional. We visited on Saturday early evening - we got a table but within an hour the whole place was full. The staff do very well with the demanding customers - some are so rude and arrogant. Starter was Masala Dosa's Main was Spinach/Veg curry/tandoori roti/etc. - no space for dessert. Food was great, not oily (my number one hate in Indian food)

Went here last week on a Friday night. Good menu choice , they have selection of north Indian, South Indian and Chinese cuisine. The chaats/starters are specially good, be sure to try them. We tried chilli mushrooms and a couple of north Indian dishes with kulcha and naans. Wasn't disappointed at all..

When visiting this restaurant with family for a Sunday lunch I was expecting to be wow'd by the restaurant. This was the first time visiting this place and we sat down and ordered some food. I was dissapointed when it arrived as it was warm-cold not even hot and cooled down very quickly. I ordered the masala dosa and there was not taste to it at all. It was extremly bland and tasteless. We also ordered the uttapam which had so much chilly powder on top that most of it was inedible. I would not visit this place again as there are much better restaurants serving the same kinds of foods that are much tastier.

It was Diwali so I went to this restaurant with family for a meal. We didn't have reservation but they managed to fit us in. Food was nice and only couple of staff were professional and rest of them not. Customer service was good and it's budget restaurant. Toilets needs to be clean more as they were filthy and someday left the dirty mop and bucket in toilet which was smelling disgusting. Also they should have baby changing room as well as the disable toilet facility. Over all its average.

Reading reviews on here, we decided to give this a try. We wish we had not! On entering the place was empty, with only one other table occupied. It looks run down and in need of a huge update. We were quickly seated, ordered our drinks and starters. The chilli paneer was quick to come out, within 5 minutes which was horrible. The paneer was not fried, but just cooked with some onlions, peppers and soy sauce. It was not even a little spicy, and the peices of paneer were at least 2inces long. Onto the Crispy Bhajia, which came out at the same time as the Chilli Paneer were just as bad. Some of them were rubbery, it was like chewing rubber. Finally after about 15 minutes the last dish was Mendu Vada, which to be fair were brilliant (and probably the only thing that was fresh). The chutneys that came with the starters were nice, then I suppose they would be cause they tasted just like the ones we have at home. In all this time, we were still waiting for our drinks! When they arrived (coke and some water),they were both warm, so we had to ask for ice. We only ordered 2 mains, one Pav Bhaji and one Triple Hakka Noodles. Both of these were lacking in taste too. The staff are ok, but considering it was not busy, they were not attentive at all. Overall, I would not come back here.

The food is what you go to Jashan for! The service is pleasant but the waiting team seem somewhat inexperienced and often can be hit and miss. The food however is incredible! Their Chilli paneer is definitely one of the best I have tasted and their bhel, Dhai Puri and crispy okra are the best! As a main I would recommend naan and a subzi of your choice! Look towards their paneer based ones as they tend to be the best as Jashan are expertly adept at cooking paneer! Some of their others may be a little more bland! I recommend Jashan purely on quality of food at such a cheap and affordable price! Great for a takeout if you live close by! It's had to find a pure vegetarian restaurant and Jashan does it well!

Decor is nice, food can be a hit and miss depending on what you select. Bhindi Chatpati is nice (this restaurant is not consistent in quality), and karahi paneer is not bad. Pricey for the standards but decent compared to other restaurants in the locality.

Visited around around 5 o clock. Food was average price and really nothing special. I had visited a few years ago and they have definitely let standards slip.. the food used to be better as was the service and ambience. Water is served in plastic jugs, I can't imagine the last time the toilets / doors / floors had a deep clean. The food is one part of the experience of going out.. for petes sake pay attention to the small details.. it means everything to a customer.

We went here for lunch on a very quiet midafternoon. The service by the waiters was very relaxed and not too involved/intrusive, which is exactly what we wanted. The gobi manchurian was a tad too salty, but good in terms of flavour. We clarified to the waiter that we wanted less salt in the rest of the food, a request which was fulfilled. All the food was freshly cooked with each dish tasting unique, and thankfully not oily or heavy. The food was served very quickly, within 5-10 minutes of being ordered. The portion sizes were decent, and we felt that the pricing was very good! One minor improvement would be to change the plastic water jugs to glass ones, as they'd be more hygienic!Overall we greatly enjoyed our meal and would happily return again!

I always thought of myself as a dye-hard meat-eater. Vegetables were always something that accompanied meat and were mainly there to "pad out" meals.Boy did I have to revise my opinion! We went to the restaurant on recommendation of a colleague and deliberately booked a table outside of Hindu festival times so that we could take our time to sample a broad variety of different foods. The selection of starters that were recommended by the staff included exotic delights such as "dahi batata puri" and "pani puri" for which I personally needed eating instructions. The flavours and textures of the food are exquisite and even dishes where you might think you know what to expect like "Chilli mushroom" were delightfully unexpected in taste and texture. The starters were accompanied by a selection of sauces and chutneys the recipes of some of which are guarded trade secrets for good reason! The culinary journey continued with mild and spicy curries, loaded poppadums, different types of roti accompanied by chutneys and sauces. There are over a hundred dishes on the menu and we only sampled a fraction of them but I cannot wait to try more the next time. What I liked especially about this vegetarian experience was that there was no attempt to dress up vegetables as meat, or replace meat. Jashan is not a place where you get overcooked peas and beans as accompaniment, but where vegetable is celebrated in its own right. Just fabulous.

The best vegetarian restaurant in Wembley without any doubt. Went in for dinner last night. The food is awesome, the menu is diverse. Had Dosa and samosa chat as starters. Was awesome, the South Indian dosa and North Indian chat was deliciously served. The mains, paneer tikka masala and Roomali roti was again amazing. Was in doubt to go inside or not as the looks from outside is quite ordinary and then stared at window menu and finally decided to pop in. It was a wonderful experience and definitely will be back again during lunch time to enjoy chaat the gaddi (the names are quite funny though).

I had been to JASHAN (meaning 'celebration') around year 2004 last and had a great experience then so was excited and looking forward to this visit after a decade. The management seemed to be new, the ambience seemed to be almost unchanged, the staff was polite and eager to serve. The quality of food met the expectations. The Kadai Paneer and Indo-chinese dishes were really good, I will be back for sure...As other reviewers have spotted that ambience needs improvement and no alchohol is served (well, who would need alchohol with vegeterian food anyways!!). Better quality n comparatively cheaper price of the food; JASHAN really is a vegeterian's delight...

Jashan looks shabby from the outside and the old-fashioned, worn-out interior and the rather sticky table tops don't inspire confidence but if you can surmount these obstacles and order, you will be in for a treat. The speciality is mild chilli- flavoured, battered okra (Bhindi Chatpati). Superb! And the potato dishes are also super tasty. Add a mango lassi and an Indian ice cream and you're laughing. Do hope they update the place soon!

It is hard to believe that this restaurant was not listed under Tripadvisor's list of restaurants in London! We visited this way back in 2006 and then we were back again last month..The hotel looks a bit dated but if you are looking for authentic Indian vegetarian food, this is one of the best ones out there! You cant miss it, it is right in the middle of wembley.Apart from the dated décor, the service is slow too but you forget all that once your food arrives...The chat was lovely, so was the manchurian. The mains were excellent, if you are into Indo-Chinese kind of spicy chinese then this is certainly the place to visit. The nan's are soft and fresh; the korma is absolutely wonderful but the dal makhani is the king of the dishes here, there are very few places that make such authentic dal makhani....One final surprise is the bill at the end and that's when you realise the 'value'; the taste beats the likes of 'Veeraswami' etc and you pay a fraction !Jashan veg is certainly one of the best in London

Extremely poor quality food, will not use again. Had ‘Chicken Curry and Egg Fried Rice’. The curry was some ingredients that had been heated together in a very, very watery and tasteless ‘sauce’. The onions were raw and the chicken had been sliced in at the end of the prep. The sauce was like a stock cube and had no depth of flavour. The rice was overcooked and had some fried egg through it, but fried rice it was certainly not. I could not, in all conscience, recommend this restaurant to anyone, and would say to avoid it at all cost.
199 Opinions
I am very mixed as I was very excited at first that I have a quality chinese take away nearby, not the cheapest but fair if quality present. However after 10 different orders I have noticed that most of the dishes are just simply full of onion. The cheapest way to make it look bulky.. With last one I felt like I thrown away half of my order.. And that was after eating half-pot of ONIONS... This establishment have a potential as the food is actually good, but they cheat by overloading cheapest ingridient wherever they can.. Please fix this, give more various vegetables (for this price I expect more than 2 slices of carrot on the bed of onions..) in correct proportions and earn 4-5 star reviews from majority of your clients... I will come back in few weeks to see if anything has improved in that matter.
