Chips and gravy are better than KFC. Chicken is ok, though not as meaty as other places. Service is friendly and efficient. Restaurant appears generally clean. I would go here again.

Overall amazing. Been going here since I was in college. Food has always been 10/10. Service is/was always great. ONLY downfall is now that the drinks are not refillable. Which is a shame because back in the day… it was. Everyone is polite — no fake service. A shame other people took advantage of the refillable drinks hence why they took it off the option.

I first had JAQK's chicken when I came to Birmingham in 2022. It is the best fried chicken I have had in England, and the price is reasonable. At first I didn't want the gravy that comes with it because it's not something I'm accustomed, but the chicken was banging. I eventually tried the gravy and WOW. It kicks up the flavor of the chicken and of the fries. I visit every year, and this place is a must stop for me.

I regularly go to the Shirley branch of Jaqks which is always good. This was my second time in Birmingham centre branch. The chicken is really good like at the Shirley branch and the chip portions are very generous. The restaurant was clean and the staff helpful and polite.

From Charlie: Immediately as I entered the restaurant I was able to place my order at the touch screen, which was a very quick and easy process. Not long after doing so my food was ready and my number was called. Despite the speed, the food itself didn’t taste rushed. The chicken was divine, and the chips were scrumptious & plenty. Once the meal was finished, Hari came over to make conversation, and insisted on clearing our plates for us. It was now time to leave, but not until after my visit to the toilet. It was very clean, and very private. Music easy listening & not too loud. As a whole, it was a very enjoyable experience. I will certainly return to this establishment, and shall be recommending to friends and family ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I went with my kids and they love the Jaqks burgers. Eldest one like Kings Burger and middle one Joker Burger and i try Might Jaqk which was delicious.

Great food. My daughter loves the spicy wings. Clean environment. Found it by chance last Xmas and was impressed. Have recommend it to others who have been impressed

Harry at the Jaqks city centre branch was very helpfull indeed today . I made a mistake on order and ordered from wrong branch. He insured that he will wrap food up in foil so it stays warm and clarified order too. Good lad. Give him a tap on the back.

My recent visit to birmingham central and I like to pick up a JAQKs chicken, chips and gravy. To see that a second branch of JAQKs chicken shop that over time seems to drop in its quality and value. I would always choose JAQKs over KFC. But to taste this time that the same issue seems to have happened in the birmingham branch, like it happened to the West Brom branch. Chicken pieces were very small. The chips were dry and tasted old. Oh and the gravy was watery and barely any flavour. It's a shame to see JAQKs lowering like this. I was rooting for you guys. Update since last review 4months: 12/07/24 - Recently in Birmingham town and decided to check in on JAQKs. 🥳💖Happy to taste that JAQKs was back on form since my last review with all the delicious, fresh, juicy and tasty flavours. Chicken, chips and that special recipe gravy😊.

Super dry chicken. Thought can't be bothered to get replaced, but it was so bad had no choice. Over cooked. First and last time coming herel They did replace but don't like having to ask. Food that is obviously been standing shouldn't be sent out to customers. Replacement was much better but still not good.

Came across this place while googling nearby places as a non-local and I got to say that I have been blown away. Everyday I am trying something new on the menu because everything is fresh,tasty, well seasoned etc

Haven't tried much but the spicy wings are amazing however everything it's quite overpriced, 4 wings and a healthy portion of chips for £5. Great shop but would be much much better if the prices were adjusted.

The food was soo good. I have never had chicken so tender and delicious. Don’t even get me started on the fries. It had the perfect amount of spices distributed evenly. It tasted even better the more I ate out of it.
