Had Sunday lunch.they was spot on for allergies. Food was quality.service was 100 % nothing to much trouble.every thing was well done by everyone.

Fantastic food especially Sunday lunch.

Took a chance and turned up without a reservation, only 3 of us and a baby but seated straight away, very friendly staff, the food was fantastic and arrived at the table very quickly, the steak I had was without a doubt the best I've had in the local area, cooked exactly how I'd requested, very highly recommended.

Bit of a delay in being served,but the food more than made up for it.

No warm greeting, barely any natural light, barely any light in general, felt like i was in a basement with pathetic lighting its just a dark and dungy place. Service was dreadful, just a bunch of youngsters running back and forth and mocking customers back to the kitchen and giggling like school kids. Mint sauce was like dish water, cauliflower was hard and like a powder cheese sauce, Yorkshires was damp, potion sizes of the veg was ridiculously small and no where enough to share with 2. Stuffing was disgusting and the gravy was far too peppery. Only decent thing was the meat, a little fatty but some meats are. Not a single check in from staff, even though it was quiet and they passed our table constantly. Overall not a great experience and wouldn't return again.

By far the best Sunday roast/platter for miles around, the quality, quantity (extremely generous portions) & service are excellent. It’s just such a shame there’s only one Sunday in a week.

Awful waited 20mins for someone to take our order waited 1 hour for food that never came . noisy with children screaming and running around not my scene

Having been to this venue before we had high hopes for a lovely evening meal. Unfortunately this quickly escalated with the wait times for food. Our main meals came out 2 hours after ordering. Very staggered, food forgotten, burnt food, cold food, other tables complaining, only 4 tables in our area who had ordered food? One of the meals was returned and was not even offered a replacement just a straight refund - great after spending 2 1/2 hours there. There was one particular lady that had a rotten attitude and could clearly not take the stress of working in a kitchen and maybe needs to work on how customers are treated. Front of house staff were good but there’s a clear lack of management at the establishment. I had honestly said half way through the night I would give them a second chance to return as it’s maybe a one off, but I would not entertain that now.

Only popped in for a drink as I live locally. Very friendly BUT although I do like dogs I don't really want them jumping on my table when I'm having a drink, I trust its not the same if I was eating. Unfortunately it was enough not to encourage me to return

Had a great evening with both crowd and bar staff. Great atmosphere allowing children and dogs makes it a fun family bar and restaurant

Food was lovely, and I had to ask for extra gravy to go with the veg and Yorkshire (it came with gravy over the meat, but that was it) Service was ok but no-one really checked to see if we were ok or if we needed anything else .. it was really busy in all fairness but still would have been nice to have a check in also there is a service charge, but feel it would have been nice to be told while ordering food

Poorly organised and very average food and service. They were just not up to speed for a restaurant charging the prices they do. Atmosphere in bar was very good but didn't do it for me in the restaurant.

Email Janz twice the make sure the is table available for 6 to celebrate. When arrived at the big day been told that the kitchen is closed. Very disappointed.

We went for dinner on a Saturday evening to celebrate, and was told food has finished even before the kitchen closed. No sign on entry to say so, only when we were ready to order the server informed us. We had contacted them twice beforehand to book a table and both times were asked to walk-in without any booking required. I would not recommend this place, unreliable and rude service.

Sunday lunch outstanding Everyone should try the Austrian Rum

We went for Father’s Day lunch here, the place is gorgeous, atmosphere lovely, staff fantastic. Six of us ate, four bring vegetarians the two that had the meat options were fantastic, but the veggie option was really quite poor. (See picture) Wouldn’t as a vegetarian go back which is a shame because it’s really such a lovely place!

The food and atmosphere at Janz are spectacular! However…if you actually want to EAT at Janz….you’d better flip a coin. There’s a better than good chance the kitchen will decide they’re done cooking before 6pm. After being told to wait 30 minutes to order, …and then 30 minutes more….and then the kitchen suddenly announces they’re closed. This is beyond frustrating. What’s worse…is this has happened 2 out of 3 times we’ve been. The bar staff is kind and attentive. The outdoor area for the kids is stellar. If you get food…honestly it’s great!….you just never know if you’re going to get it.

Lovely food here. Nice place. Dogs can go outside with you too. Lovely decking right by play area for children. Food not cheap but worth every penny. A lovely young boy brought our food and was so lovely. And helpfull. Even if he forgot to bring me more tissue as i am such a messy eater. He was rushed off his feet bless him. Lovely place to go with family. 👍😊

Fantastic place great food great atmosphere great staff who are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and inviting interior of the restaurant. With just the right amount of ambiance to make you feel at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at ease. Then there was the food. I have to say, I was blown away by the quality of the dishes on offer. Everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. From the succulent roast beef to the perfectly roasted vegetables, every element of the meal was a delight. Overall, I would highly recommend Jan'z Restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere, with attentive and friendly staff to make you feel right at home.

Excellent atmosphere, friendly people and extremely reasonably priced drinks

Have had delicious food there the last 2 weekends. The black mountain lamb chops are out of this world. Everything on the plate was fresh and delicious. Fab service, Fab food. Well done guys!

We ate in Jans restaurant on both Friday and Saturday evenings this weekend. The food was absolutely outstanding! Beautifully presented, tasted delicious, was hot and served quickly. The staff were friendly, attentive and very professional. Overall service and experience was brilliant! Can’t recommend Jans restaurant enough, try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. We can’t wait for our next meal. Thank you to all the staff there for working so hard and delivering quality food and service 🥰
