Jamaican Grill House makes the best food in the area. It's not just the best Jamaican restaurant, it's the best restaurant food -- period. To get this from as small a place as it is was unexpected, but that's just how it is. The grilled fish -- any grilled fish -- is off the charts good. The oxtail, ribs, and curried goat are all outstanding. So is everything else, really. Our staples are the fritters, plantains, a beef patty, and then whatever main dishes we're getting with rice, peas (bean), and cabbage-based salad. (Add lemon and olive oil to the salad.) I don't write many reviews, but I'm writing this one because this place is so good that it deserves more attention. I think most people don't know it's there, because it's primarily takeaway outside the spring/summer months. (They have outdoor seating under a canopy, but that's it.) We hit this restaurant about once a week. It's worth it.

Excellent food real authentic Jamaican food. It looks unexciting from the outside, but we sat on the benches and the owner went to a lot of trouble to produce interesting dishes. We had two very young children and he gave special attention to their needs

This is a takeaway place (but there is some seating outside). It is located just off the A1 opposite the small co-op. Me and my husband both had jerk chicken, rice and peas. My husband also had fritters as a side order. I did ask if jerk chicken was spicy (as I am not good with too much heat), and the chef said it isn't spicy but has lots of flavour. By god he was not wrong. The chicken was soooo delicious. Lots of flavours, smokey and sweet. Cooked to perfection. So succulent. The rice was fluffy and cooked perfectly too. My husband really enjoyed the fritters and didn't take long to finish them off. There is parking out the front so easy to access.Friendly staff. Clean kitchen. Great prices and delicious food. We will be back. I would recommend this place to anyone. Give it a try, and spread the word.

We bought two items from Jamaican grill house to try it out. We found the items overpriced and very poor value for money so cannot see ourselves going back.

We tried out this Jamaican takeaway-only joint while visiting friends in Little Paxton. Everyone in our group was pleasantly surprised by how much they enjoyed it, and our friends vowed they'll be back there soon. I wish we lived closer to enjoy more often their tasty home-cooked food like fall-off-the-bone goat curry.

Having hear the rave reviews , we were excited to try hokey Smokey. We ordered the mixed tray which cost around £50. Unfortunately it was incredibly disappointing. Pork belly was ok but lacked flavo

We use to stop in this place every day Monday-Friday, (6 builders) but last few months the lady with the pink hair became really rude we decided to go to the other bakery just up the road ,
