Jake's Family Restaurant & Bar in Conwy

Had the gammon here today came out lukewarm to chewy to cut through x overpriced and uneatable x looks like it had been warmed up x avoid here . Theres better places further on x j jones

31st October, around 4pm arrival. 15 people (9 adults, 6 young children.) Parking: Pretty small carpark, since the pub is on a caravan site most people would be walking to and from this pub anyway. We travelled in to go to the pub, so parking up 4 big cars and 1 small one was pretty entertaining for the first of us to arrive, but it worked out. Play area: as a non parent I can't add too much here but there is an indoor and outdoor play area for the kids, all the kids (from 3-7years) seemed to really enjoy the play area barely leaving so they could eat their food, none of the parents commented on it to me, all of which are the type to voice if they dislike something. Entertainment: No entertainment during our stay Given the time we arrived, it's to be expected, I believe some was scheduled for later that night Food: The food was really good, even the pickiest of eaters ate the food. My brother notorious for trying to finish off the biggest meals at pub restaurant struggled to finish the mixed grill because there was so much, my step dad and my partner who are very picky eaters ate all their food, my mum found her portion size too much for her, but was able to share that out with the kids. The chilli was enjoyed, the pizza didn't seem cut through the crust quite right, but it was cooked well enough that it could be torn pretty easily, not too hard and not too doughy. Seemed pretty freshly made. Pizza was shared across 3 kids, the picky one ate the most of the pizza. Sausage and mash was shared between 2 kids, that seemed to be enjoyed. Overall the food was well enjoyed, and deceptively well priced, I say that because when we went to order they had an offer which made 2 main meals way cheaper. We all paid for meals in pairs (+respective children), so me and my partner ordered a pulled pork fried chicken burger (approx £13) I ordered a southern fried chicken plate (approx £15) but it only cost us in total just under £12 for the 2 meals. This deal was not very clearly shown, was not shown on the menu and I didn't see it being shown anywhere else in the building. The drinks were more expensive, however. Overall: very good place to visit for some food, but maybe ask about the deals they have on for the week. If you want to drive there, then probably best to arrive early so you can get a parking spot, if you can walk/taxi there I would recommend to do so.

Guinness was terrible, had zero head on it at all , food was cold and staff were rude and lazy . They all sat around the table watching the tv and pretending to be wrapping knifes and forks up . Nice place but lazy staff couldn’t care less about their customers or even the brand… so many more better places to go .

Ordered the fish and chips, after a short wait it arrived. The fish was so over cooked it was unreal. I asked the server for a fresh one to be told that the chief says all the fish would be the same due to the batter! If I was 15 and never eaten in out ever then this would have seemed reasonable, but I actually work in a kitchen 😡 over priced food, the food all was on and it was too loud for the 25 punters in the there and they only accept card. Next day we drove down the Rd 5min and went to The Harbour, highly recommend, food was reasonably priced and yummy 😏

Jakes bar was amazing. Food is beautiful, good choice drinks, lovely atmosphere. All the staff are so friendly i would recommend to everyone. Cant wait to return! 10 out of 10.

Was actually looking forward to Sunday dinner unfortunately very disappointed we’ll beyond disappointed food terrible hard potatoes , weird lumpy mash , cabbage that I’m not sure was cabbage the whole thing I do believe was just frozen which is a real shame £12.50 a meal I’m sure it could be lots better & don’t see why it’s that bad lots of improvement needed to compete with stuff around it.

Went for a daytime meal and it was obviously microwave food. The steak pie was inedible, couldn't cut it

We ate here all week while on holiday as the food was tasty and well priced. The mid week deals make it very affordable. Thoroughly recommend the roasts and chicken tikka! We didn't visit for the evening entertainment but could hear it from our caravan and they played some bangers!!

Fella ordered mixed grill for 23.99 we was told over hour wait which we waited 1 hour and had to send back as none of meat was cooked the sausage had been seared/flame burnt on 1 side(it was compared to child's sausage meal and mixed grill sausage had not even been near an oven it was still same colour as when you take it from fridge) asked for well done steak was still bleeding, gammon undercooked, pork chop undercooked, the onion rings not cooked still raw onion inside...he tried a little of a few things before sending back couldnt get another meal as food stops being served at 8.30pm so had to give refund waiting up to 5days as its card payments only.... fella was really ill with food poisoning the day after and had to leave caravan later to travel home...only had 2 gluten free options of tikka curry and veg thai red curry so need more gluten free options jacket potatoes should be guaranteed to be gluten free will not be eating here again...also not safe for children to play outside safely as park outside is near main road and anybody from the road public can walk in and out security on doors but no checks of passes to be on complex and children not stopped from going outside alone or as small group...menu posted on here is not the correct menu for now only 2 curry options and they are 12 each and kids meals are over 7 and 1.95 for go large...we got 5meals 2 adults and 1 child's 1 pint of lager and small vodka lemonade and was nearly £75

Food was sent back twice after being told I can't have the salad dressing as I can't have a ingredient in it due to allergies to be brought the same food again over and over and salad sauce still on plate leaving me to give the meal to someone else. Kitchen manager was rude even tho 6 out the 15 dishes all come out wrong and have to be sent back. Food way over priced and wouldn't recommend to anyone. Better of going to chippy on next site at least food is eatable there

Was really lookin forward to our meal..but i can safely say..the food was terrible..It looked like the cheap frozen food you get at Aldi..Thrown in the oven and served..We had Katsu Chiken Curry..thinking it would be a propper curry..not just coated chiken strips with curry sauce..and the chips were cheap and nasty..My Mum ordered the chicken pie chips and peas..the pie looked like it was heated in a microwave..it was ineddible! ..I wouldnt recomend this place to anyone..Very Dissapointed!

Looks nice inside and out. Although…. The wait at the bar is ridiculous. With only about 5 people to serve it took them about 20 minutes. Food is nothing special. Over cooked and overpriced.

Really nice food far better than most in the area. The drinks prices are better than on the Parkdean site we stayed on across the road and from where we were it was nearer. The outside area is really comfy too. The staff are very friendly helpful and the whole place has a nicer atmosphere.

Extremely poor quality expensive couldn't eat new yorker chicken came out all dried up and burnt when complained bloke said il tell them he never came back to us or offered a refund. When I asked again he walked past me. This was our first night my husband diabetic so had nothing to eat just some of granddaughters chips never eat or will do again.

We've heard about Jakes Bar and decided to check it out, great hospitality and a very nicely presented meals and well worth the price. Will definately call in here again, and would recommend too

Called in on way back to holiday home. Lovely set up, inside area and outside bar area, you can see somemoney has been spent here. Really good set up. Only let down was the seagull poop on chairs and decking that just needed a wipe over and plates left out in open that attracted the seagulls who seemed to enjoy the leftovers, which considering how quiet the bar was these could easily been cleared away but we stayed for 45min and no one came to clear them.

Went for steak Saturday 20 pounds for two steaks and two glasses of wine went at 7 o'clock only to be told no steaks so had other meals all five of us which were lovely.

A brilliant place to come for entertainment for kids and adults. The food is brilliant and the staff can't do enough for you would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed a few hours here at this venue.Went from Stoke to Towyn to collect my Daughter,Son in Law and Grandkids from a few days break at a local caravan park.They had used Jakes a couple of times prior to my visit.We grabbed something to eat.Had a couple of beers and enjoyed the Elvis Presley tribute act.Good atmosphere,Decent Food,Comfortable surroundings.A safe play area for the kids.

We Absolutely loved the outside beach bar but had to eat inside as it was so windy. The menu was good and varied and the 4 meals that we purchased were fantastic special sout out to my salt and pepper chicken and the mixed grill.

The food was brilliant, kids loved the play area. 1st member of bar staff was lovely, couldn't do enough for us, the next shift on the other hand, 2 of them were stood around leanin on the bar while 1 did our 8 item drinks order and offered no help to speed things along. The empty plates were left on the table so long that I cleared them away myself.

Our first time .we took my grandson for the soft play inside n had a lunch all was fab kids meal went down a treat. Our Jasper tried a stuffing ball and he loved it. Xx I had fish n chips.all was lovely. We will go again defo.

We didnt eat, but the food looked good card only payments accepted. No cash payments taken. Good entertainment, good outdoor pods for families, heaters in them , childrens fun area, good all round family pub & resturant.

Cheap food for expensive prices. Young lads who were serving were polite so service was good. Zero atmosphere not surprising probably due to end of season football on every television 🙄

Excellent food and service. No real ales but no biggie. Had a couple of meals and were spot on. Good entertainment too.

went the 2 nights we were staying and the first night the food was nice even though they got it wrong, the second night the food was over done in the microwave, young lads barely bothered to serve as football was on, which was also annoying that it was on both nights. Not everyone likes football. Tip, young lads, get some work done.

This place is ok food wise just full of scumbags who think it's ok for their kids to hit other kids and security is a joke if you want you kids to be safe don't go there never going again.

It was great were local and come here for somewhere for the kids to eat and play. It was Sunday menu. Partner had the steak pie which went down well. I have the burger which was really nice. Kids enjoyed their meal. A bit pricey, but it's expected from a tourist place. This time the balloon guy was there. Wow he really is a hidden gem, a true artist. Lost a star because of the state of the mini arcade. I lost a few quid from machines breaking down. Overall really nice place and will continue visiting. Maybe during term times

Should off walked out then ordered meal steak pie chips simple meal so then we orded coffee' Coffee came to table cold an so weak think they forgot to put any coffee in took it back an they made new coffee's hot with coffee in 🤣 Meal came to table then pie had been micro waved to death they were like bricks an chips hadn't seen a oven can honestly say worst meal ever been served Told girl an she just shrugged an the they all had a good laugh at bar think it was because I complained about coffee got no refund or even an apology the service an attertude of staff was disgusting to think it's a holiday resort Place is great for kids entertainment an a great place to go just dont go in bar an order food staff dont like to work they just want to play

Get looked up and down as your welcome. Chips nice will give it that but burger and Donner meet undercook/raw Burger was that bad it went into the bin, wouldn't return even if it was free

The place looks smart. Only called in for coke as I was driving. Don't know what the the food and ale's are like or prices. The campsite looks good. Hopefully will get to stay and let you know.

Entertainment for all the family. Food can take a while to get to you but not that surprising considering how full the establishment can get. Food was great when we eventually got it and great portions too.

Enjoyed a family meal and drink on a busy bank holiday Sunday. Excellent service, lovely food with good sized portions and sensible prices. After the meal and football finished enjoyed a drink outside in the Beach Bar to let the grandkids let off steam. Really enjoyed our evening. Certainly return.

Went to the “family” bar with a child with hidden disabilities and because my son shouted out something the DJ didn’t like when he was telling lies about the amount of money being given out at bingo he reacted and got all bouncers involved! My son is 10, btw! For a family bar this needs to be address as it was a hideous performance that had caused stress to me son.

A Great Family Restaurant and Bar that has a new children's play area that has opened recently. They have a new and improved menu and have a love island inspired by refurbished outdoor area. The staff are kind and friendly. Coming again next year. Quite expensive if you have a large Family but great value for money with the portions.
