I first spotted Jah Mikes last year and what impressed me the most was that he was busy in the kitchen prepping at around 9.30am. It took a few weeks to get back and order our first meal but it was well worth the wait. Mike seems to have a slightly different business model to other takeaways. I guess he makes everything fresh in the morning each day and when it's gone it's gone! Well, I finally managed to get over to him on a Monday lunchtime and the Jerk Chicken was sensational. More than enough for 2 meals. #what a nice guy and what a credit to Tunstall town centre

Great food, had the Jerk chicken, Mike let me sample the curry goat and WOW ! Will be definitely going back Ended up staying and chatting to Mike for half an hour, what a guy! Makes me want to go back to Jamaica. Highly recommended!

Amazing! The best meals and portions! This place is consistently good. Been coming here for years and never had a bad meal. Service is friendly too! Best to ring up and preorder in advance as everything sells out fast! I don’t know of anywhere else you can get 2 large meals and sides for less than £20! Never disappointed by Jah Mikes 😊

The food is sooo nice, the jerk chicken is my fave such a nice guy who runs it too. Deffo worth the money because it’s unreal, if you haven’t tried it yet get your self down!!

Very hard to find Caribbean food in Stoke, with most only being average. Jah Mikes's is top of the list for this area. His curried Goat is the best I've had. My only criticism is low stock, you have to arrive early if you want Goat, Oxtail or dumplings. I'm guessing this is loss limitation for such a small company. Everyone has to try this guy atleast once.

Great food great flavours we need spread the word for this guy only thing i would recommend is to stay open a bit later on friday and saturday please maybe 2-10 and tgen 12-8 the rest of tge week feel u are missing business here 👍

This is top food, the curried goat is amazing. Please be aware that there is a finite amount of food made for the day, when it's gone it's gone and the door is closed. That's how it works here.

Been to Jah Mikes numerous times and never been disappointed! Always really friendly and chatty and continually smiling - makes you feel really welcome :) the food is gorgeous, really filling and great price! Brown stew chicken and curried goat is amazing! Always try and pop in when in the area and can't wait to back!

Now I remember the first time i tried this place a friend had suggested I give it a try, I walked past a few times deciding if the friend had set me up. back then it looked more than a little shabby and it took me a while to take the plunge. It's now looking a little better but its hardly 5 star dining, it is however 5 star flavour. I have tried most things on the menu overtime and never been let down. also the price is fantastic a £7.50 meal will easily feed 2, although i wont lie getting 2 different meals and sharing is not uncommon and well worth doing. absolutely fantastic food and provided with a smile. well worth giving a try, only word of caution is get in there early as he can sell out!!!!

Not a lot more to say really, The Jamaican cuisine is second to none. So don't listen to me, try it yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic value and really good food in massive portions. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. You'll love Jah Mikes.
