Jack's Cafe in The Vale of Glamorgan

I have been here for two themed nights and worth every penny - New Year’s Eve, 7 course dinner, valentines special 5 course dinner and Sunday lunch which has a choice of 1, 2 or 3 courses all of which are amazing value for money. I am so impressed with the quality of the food, it is outstanding and delicious, thoroughly recommended 💯. There is nothing else like it in Barry, a real hidden gem. All needs are catered for, the valentines special, I asked for a different sauce than advertised for my steak and my god, my Diane sauce was the best I have ever tasted 🫶🏻👌🏻. Staff are super lovely and attentive. The entertainment is brilliant on themed nights, all I ask is a bit more space for dancing haha! (I know this can’t be done unless you push the tables to one side 🤣) Nothing negative to say at all will continue to eat here and to recommend this place to everyone I know. I am really looking forward to returning for the steak club and themed nights i am interested in! 10/10 from me 👌🏻

Best place to eat in Barry. The quality of the food is absolutely amazing, everything is cooked fresh and it tastes divine. We were a table of five and each had different dishes, but everyone was left amazed at the quality of food. This is by all means fine dining at a very reasonable price. The portions are very reasonable too.

We had a wonderful meal in Jack's tonight. Started with turbot and potato in a fantastic prawn bisque. My sister then had salmon which was cooked to perfection and I had belly pork with sliced apples - absolutely scrumptious, a deliciously sweet dish with its assortment of onions. This is top class food from a very experienced chef. And Jack put on a one-man show tonight as we were the only diners - just like having a private chef. We are full of admiration for him and wish him all the very best for this brilliant addition to Barry's restaurant scene.

Deserves to succeed. Much better than the average restaurant in Barry, food is on another level entirely, Given 4 not 5 stars as glasses weren’t very clean and service a bit casual (eg waiter sat at another table behind us to take our order so we had to turn our heads round to speak to him). In all other respects highly recommended, a really delicious meal at a very fair price.

Jacks is a small independent restaurant based in the centre of Barry. Their food is amazing. We have been a few times for their Sunday lunch. The quality and value for money was fantastic. We have also been to the New Years Eve event where are had a 7 course meal plus entertainment the courses were presented beautifully and the flavours were beautiful. We will definitely will be revisiting Jacks and we have high recommended to our family and friends.

Great restaurant good variety of food reasonable prices for such great quality food I had partridge to start then duck followed by poached pear accompanying vegetables great , everything was delicious .

We visited to sample the new evening menu. Beautiful food thoughtfully created and presented. Outstanding quality and value. This is one of the best places I’ve ever eaten and will not disappoint. The meat was tender, portions generous and so very tasty.

Fine dining at a very reasonable price. Exceptional food produced by a local talented chef. Highly recommended. Small menu but everything was amazing and freshly cooked to order.

We visited for the new evening fine dining experience. The food was absolutely 10/10 tasty, brilliant flavour pairings and reasonably priced. Jack is an experienced chef who has worked in fine dining establishments for many years, and his experience bounces off the plates he serves. I would recommend visiting, nothing else in Barry compares.
