Went for a night out at Jack Murphy’s and my bartender Kayleigh was amazing, good prices and great music.

Excellent place to watch the rugby, drinks are cheap, food is ok staff are lovely. The toilets are absolutely disgusting 🤮.

I have never been into Such a stinking club. Floors filthy and sticky and the toilets unsanitary. The female toilets doors don’t lock, no toilet roll, smell of stagnant urine and it appeared the toilets were leaking as loads of water on the floor.

bouncer bumped into my mate and started pointing, swearing and screaming in her face. This is not normal and professional behaviour. The venue was far far too packed for new years eve. We spent 40 mins queuing at the bar for drinks at one point, and people started getting agitated due to how packed it was, lots of pushing and shoving going on.

Worst place ever, rude service, I’ll never go here again. I went there going to second floor and get slipped bc there floor is too wet. It hurts my butt so much and the safe staff come over try to kick my out I feel ridiculous, I ask my money back, the staff still treating extremely rude and hand on my chest , I said hands off from my chest he didn’t until I’m out. I just want to say this is most ridiculous club experience. Never going there again and pray for Swansea for having such bar here

Amazing pub come nightclub with great prices on mixers and pints. Elis especially was very friendly, helping me out and being patient when my card wasn't working properly at the door. Would definitely recommend this place for a night out, there isn't anywhere better in Swansea.

Absolutely cracking bar! The best pub I've been in as an away football fan. As instructed by the Old Bill, this was our allocated pub we were sent to prior to the march to the ground. Pints were excellent, even if we were made to have plastic cups, at a fair price. Pretty sure pints I was buying were less than £5. Guinness was very good! Atmosphere was excellent, with music being played specifically for Bristol City fans, where we had a good sing! Staff were very friendly and even the bouncers were sound. Bar had a great Irish Pub feel. Would definitely recommend if you're planning an awayday to Swansea or just out for a drink in the centre.

Tonight I went there with my friends and after half an hour I went out for a cigarette and then the security with blonde hair and green eyes told me you are drunk and you can't come in and I drank only 1 whiskey and I wasn't even drunk, I don't understand this and I asked for my entrance money back and he said that you can't get it, if you want, you can complain to the cops standing in front of you, I will definitely not go there again.

I walked my friend out to get a taxi and i tried to go back in and they left me out on my own even though i had a stamp and i was a girl and on my own. this isn’t the first time this has happened.

Martin on the door, is without doubt the best doorman I have ever met. He has a wanky finger and we bonded holding our pinks. I’ve never felt so loved in my life ❤️

A great atmosphere pub which is always open and offers straws in pots to use. Fantastic! I love Jack Murphy's. Brandon was particularly one of my favourite barmen.

My partner was in there last night and he got spiked and he ended up in hospital. The place is known for drug users and drug dealers so be careful and keep an eye on your drinks.....

A great venue to watch Sport with mates. Lots of screens ensure a great view of the game and you are guaranteed a superb atmosphere. Decent beers too!

I'd like to add my comments on this page and explain that from a door security point of view. Some of the comments I have read here are wrong and not a reflection of the security team that works here. As I am Head of security in this venue I can assure everyone that no thuggish behavior is tolerated and brief my team on such behavior and will be dismissed or moved on if I witness that behavior as I have zero tolerance for it. From the moment you enter the venue, you are greeted by myself and my team with a welcome, and my team will say good night as you leave the venue. I like the public/customers to feel safe and have a fantastic night. Unfortunately, the new Jack Murphy's has mixed reviews that have come under the new jack Murphys which have painted it In a bad light. Went to Jack's on a Saturday night. There was a good live band, shame nno cask beer was available.

Bit loud for us oldies, but nice to see everyone enjoying themselves. Lager very cheap, but a good quality pint!

I’d rate 0 if I could, toilets were abysmal, unisex, great, but no security, no ceiling to floor cubicles and when an incident occurred racism also occurred!

I used to visit Jack Murphy's whenever I'm in town and I have to say Raj is the ultimate vibe check bartender at Jack Murphy's. He's got mad skills when it comes to mixing, and he's always down to chat with his customers. He's like the human embodiment of the "Chill" emoji, and he'll make you feel like you're part of the Jack Murphy's fam. If you're looking for a bartender who's lit AF then Raj is your guy. 10/10 would recommend.

Spent the evening of 3/11/23 with my son at this venue, bar staff member Owen served us wonderful cocktails at an acceptable price (2 for £10). Music in the front room was a little out of touch for myself personally but my son was familiar with a majority of the songs and had a great evening, would recommend.

Raj who served me and my colleagues for drinks was very friendly and helpful. We had a good time in Jack Murphys on a Saturday night 🙂

I give 1 star because the seats are comfortable. However, it is very cold inside. Need to sit there with my coat on. Staff are very nice but manager is very rude. Maybe the manager needs to be taught by the staff how to communicate in a polite way. Menu is very limited but food is not too expensive. They serve no hot drinks and they had no alcohol free beer, only cider. I waited 40 minutes for my food. The food came overcooked and cold.

Accused in the wrong on night out and removed from premises. Complete lack of control and zero accountability.

The staff are extremely homophobic. The second I began to flirt with men they had the member of staff on station escort me out of the building. I was not anymore drunk than any person but apparently being attracted to men is warrant for immediate removal from the building. All of the men I talked to I politely asked if they were okay with swinging both ways but the people they had in high vis jackets thought differently and I was walked out.

Absolutely loved Jack Murphy’s. Drinks were a reasonable price, atmosphere was great. There is one room which resembles that of a sports bar and another that is more like a club. Bouncers were very nice to us, the crowd in the club room was energetic which overall made it a great experience.

Great bar, relaxed atmosphere. A mix of traditional pub and modern bar. The booth seating around tables is brilliant. Great place to relax. Love the chippy in the bar. Good screens for football. Good air conditioning.

Takes way too long to get served, the whole place is filthy and you need better music. A lot of customers (especially students) that go there are overly aggressive and aren’t dealt with, but the doormen are friendly

Love it or hate it, early evening has good band's on before the DJ takes over later. Great atmosphere, cheap drink, fab band's, toilets are disgusting but that's down to the punters surely!! Gets very busy with the young crowd later on queuing to get in. Fab door staff too. Update: no called one eyed Jack's, still has bands on over the weekend and the toilets have improved slightly. Still selling £1 jack bombs 💣

From Hull but I was working in Swansea and ended up in this bar. Was a great night, great bar. I managed to lose my wallet that night but the staff are brilliant and sent it back to me in Hull, can't recommend this place enough.

We were in jack Murphy’s tonight on wind street and we saw these girls get kicked out because of someone else’s behaviour. We left at the same time as the bouncers removed the girls from the club and we spoke to them. From what they told us one of the girls was crying because a bartender had kicked them out as apparently they had thrown a bottle at her. I would just like to clear up that I met these girls and they were taking shots the only thing they pushed on the bar was the empty shot glasses they had paid for after they had bought the shots they had ordered. At no point did they have a bottle. The bartender accused these girls of throwing a bottle of something at her. Which did not occur. The girls had just finished their shots and were trying to put them on the bar. I believe that it was a major misunderstanding and was dealt with in the wrong way. I spoke to the girls outside and I witnessed what had happened and I think if the bouncers had questioned the girls and looked at cctv they would have seen a different perspective. I’m sorry but I feel as a bystander this was dealt with in the wrong way. They didn’t even give the girls a chance to defend themselves. I am not saying this to take their side, but I feel the fact that they kicked them out straight away was wrong.

Staff are an absolute joke, bouncers and staff behind the bar are all lovely however the bathroom staff are aggressive and threatening, inside of the toilets they threaten you and have a go when you take more than two seconds then try denying it afterwards, I highly wouldn’t recommend going to this establishment unless you want to be insulted for using the toilets for more than one minute and then spend 20 minutes making a complaint.

Got thrown up on. As well as my friends by a complete stranger. Evidence was clear on my friends. Instead of getting listened to I was taken to the front and kicked out after being searched and told "you'll be let back in". I was kicked out because apparently my hands showed I was "on something" they had no evidence and still kicked me out because I had a complaint. Take this as you will

Cheap drinks, loud music! What's not to like?

This place is not worth visiting the bouncers just want to cause trouble big men with no back bone stay away is my advice.

Amazing care and kindness from the doorstaff, when I was in a situation that required help the doorstaff went above and beyond to ensure my safety and comfort. Such as providing me a heating mat and jacket, aswell as contacting multiple member of family and explain the situation. Without the staff I'm not sure what would have happened so I am very grateful.

A typical bar with a club underneath. Bouncers here seem much friendlier than other nightclubs, but the bartenders were so slow, we waited 15 minutes to get a drink and in the end didn't get served.

Excellent, lovely guiness served here, plenty of tv screens to watch different games.

If you want a bar/pub to be yourself this is the place. Great music, great atmosphere always.
