Decided to try this out when I was in Leeds on Saturday with my family, as I'd heard good things about the food stands in the Kirkgate Market. Especially as everywhere in Leeds centre is rammed at lunchtime, we thought we'd try this out. We plumped for Istanbul Bakery as it did something for everyone. Chicken/Lamb shawarma sandwiches with chips and drink, vegetarian falafel sandwich and chips, Pepperoni pizza for my youngest (picky) son. It was all fantastic, really tasty and filling, everything nice and hot, communal seating shared between all the food stalls but plenty of tables to sit at, even at 12.30 on a busy Saturday before Christmas. Even had a orchestra playing Christmas songs whilst we ate. Will definitely go back. Such good value for what you pay in Leeds these days.

My friends and I have been visiting Istanbul Bakery for years! Since it was £3 for a sandwich, now I’m perfectly happy paying £3.5 (which is still a BARGAIN) best shawarma in Leeds by far!

Impressed with the attempt at 'street food' in Leeds market, I have tried several stalls more than once. However, I have walked away from them all after SHOCKING service! Maybe it depends on the time of day, and who is working the shift. But my impression is that no one cares. No logical queue. No awareness of customers. No initiative. I wasn't the only one to comment. Fish & chips - ignored Spanish - ignored Jamaican - ignored Curry - OK Istanbul Bakery - OK service, but spectacular chicken sandwich for £3.50!

Dentro del mercado de Leeds encontrará este lugar, la comida es deliciosa y el pan está recién hecho y es muy ligero y esponjoso. El sándwich de pollo shawarma es muy bueno y viene con tu elección de ensaladas. Muy abundante y el servicio es rápido y amable también.
