⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had the most amazing dinner at Istanblu last night! This place is a real gem right by Hampton Court. The moment we walked in, we were greeted like old friends by the owner, who took the time to explain the menu and made fantastic recommendations. The food is the real deal - exactly like what I had when visiting Istanbul last year. We started with their mezze platter, and the freshly baked bread was still warm when it reached our table. For mains, we tried the mixed grill and the chicken şiş was so tender it melted in our mouth. What really makes this place special is the staff. They're attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they genuinely care about making sure you have a great experience. When we couldn't decide on dessert, our waiter brought us small samples of baklava and to try - such a thoughtful touch! The portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. We'll definitely be coming back - already planning to bring the whole family next weekend! Tip: Don't skip the Turkish coffee at the end of your meal - it's the perfect way to finish your dinner.

We were here for a friends 60th birthday, when we were attacked by the next table both verbally and I had a large glass of wine thrown in my face by an excuse for a man. The people in question were allowed to stay in the restaurant and just moved to another table. I have always liked this restaurant in the past, but will not be returning, I was left shaken and it put a dampner on my friends birthday. the staff would not call the police , even though it was assault. I was left dripping wet, and my clothes will need dry cleaning , i hope they are not ruined. " we were given a free bottle of wine! I would think twice before visiting this restaurant as there clientele leave a lot to be desired!

Good food, friendly staff, nice ambience - BUT an altercation with some other diners, where one of our party had a glass of wine thrown on her, was poorly dealt with. We're a group of women aged 58+ who don't expect a group of young men to scream and shout at you and attack you... then just get moved to another area of the restaurant rather than be asked to leave.

A wonderful restaurant with a Turkish specialty located in the tourist area of ​​the neighborhood. The service was extraordinary, the staff very kind and attentive. Inside, the restaurant is pleasantly furnished with large spaces, partitions and oriental ornaments. The food is prepared in plain sight, with a glass wall between the serving area and the kitchen. You will see the cook working with the fire to prepare the food but without the smell of the food. The food has very good prices (I am attaching a receipt) and the portions are very large. Don't take two dishes because you might not be able to eat everything and that's a shame. They are very civil compared to other restaurants in London that I have been to because the services (tips) are not included in the receipt. You have to add separately what you think it's worth. And it really deserves it. They are very attentive. The toilets are mixed, modest but clean. We went on Saturday around 5 PM and it wasn't crowded, no reservation needed. A restaurant worth trying.

Just had a wonderful lunch after visiting the palace, the welcome and atmosphere were great, we needed food not spicy for my parents in law and the menu had a lot of options especially if you have kids who do not want strictly turkish so they can get pizza or pasta. The falafel wrap was amazing and they used a nice bread with it, The prices are reasonable for the area so overall highly recommend it unless your brain is the size of a peanut that can't process more than one page of a menu.

When I first arrived I was surprised by the huge menu (which is never a good sign). This restaurant clearly caters to a wide audience and is not authentic Turkish - for example, I wouldn't expect to see fajitas, Italian pasta, burgers and Italian pizza at a Turkish restaurant. The atmosphere and service were amazing with lovely views though, so even though the food quality didn't deliver, I would go back for a drink. I hope that the menu is shortened soon and more focus is given to Turkish dishes.

had the displeasure of having lunch here with my family. While the staff was great—kind, and very helpful—the food left much to be desired. I ordered lahmacun, but what I received seemed to be a microwaved, pre-packaged version with no flavor and lacking the typical minced meat that makes lahmacun special. Unfortunately, the food was dull and disappointing, which means I won’t be returning.

CAVEAT EMPTOR The experience was truly dreadful. No drinks after first ordering. Requested Meze with Raki, nothing to offer. This was truly dreadful service. Twice had to ask for ice. Main meal was called Harem, basically an Iskender with chicken, might as well have been vegan !! No manager to speak to and still essentially a £45 per head bill Hatay and Cappadocia are much better in the area.

Food was good but the waiter did get my friends order wrong. Also asked for water for the table and was charged around £5 for a glass bottle of water, this was not mentioned and was a bit if a shock when the bill came.

Being newly diagnosed as diabetic and trying to reverse it through eating differently I was nervous of eating out. The staff were super helpful, the menu extensive with lots of information on each dish even down to the make up of the dressings. For a diabetic there was lots of choice, I had the cold mezi and chicken salad, pinched a forkfuls or 2 of my husbands chocolate moose cake and blood sugars were low the next day. Food was gorgeous. Would recommend.

The atmosphere & service was good - but the food lacked any huge amount of flavour; okay is probably the word I’d use.

Started of with a starter very quick service and lovely selection if starters. However the main I had a pizza and it was very soggy and oily, consistency of a slip and slide. The cheese fell of immediately. Desserts were sweet and tasty. Overall quick service but whale lack of quality let it down.

Service: great. Atmosphere:great. Food: mediocre at best. We are locals. Whenever we come for Turkish breakfast we enjoy it. It is always rich and fulfilling, so no question there. Coming for a dinner it is a complete different story. We ordered Meze Meal for two, lahmacun and calamari. They replaced calamari with shrimp. We felt all of the mezes were out of can. So we rate them poor to horrible. Kofte and chicken skewers were also poor. Lahmacun was one of the worst in the UK, oily minced meat, ayyyk. Shrips were ok. Borek was good. The deserts baklava and kunefe were also among the worst. Specially the baklava, it was dry, untasty and hard to even swallow. With all of the competiton popping up from Wimbledon (Efes Premium) to Kingston (Ramos and occasionally Cappadocia), to Raynes Park (Hatay), I can’t see a bright future for this place, if they don’t start serving freshly cooked food by cooks expert in Turkish kitchen. This explains why this place is among the least busy ones on East Molesey’s Bridge Road which is full of other amazing local alternatives. Times has changed guys, great service and atmosphere might bring people once but for repeat local customers on the know you need to be able to compete at least with Dar Mezzet (Lebanese) at the corner. The food might be “bonne pour l’Orient” (Brits who have no idea of the real taste of Turkish food) but not for the real lovers of it. I hope you change it before it is too late as serving only good Turkish Breakfast might not save you. Best

The food is amazing, we had the mezze. The beef and the chicken were so tender and juicy, let alone for the rest of the food accompanying this delicious feast! The tea and the coffee were delicious!!! The staff were so attentive and ready to help in any way possible! 100% recommend it!! You must come by and try this amazing restaurant!

When you get placed at the back of the restaurant when it's empty you know it's going to be a dull experience. Food is not the greatest I or my wife have experienced. We know good Turkish food this was not great. Calamari was very chewy but the sauce a was nice The lamb shish consisted of four chunks of BBQ meat and plain rice with a little bit of salad all for £18 . Really not value for money Tbh Funny bit was we felt we were being rushed as it was valentine's night and the staff was expecting a mad one. It back fired as it went dead so we didn't stay . Thank you to Istanblu for hosting our staff lunch and truly exceeded all our expectations. Catering to a group of 30 with diverse dietary requirements is no small feat, but from the moment we arrived we were really looked after. All the dishes were so fresh and delicious. Everyone really enjoyed the variety of favours and mezzet offered. Huge thank you to the staff who pulled out all the stops but also for supporting us as a local charity hosting some wonderful fundraising events for us throughout the year. Arrived with a limited time window due to travelling back home. Food orders taken quickly and food delivered fresh and well cooked. All meals superb, well presented and flavoursome. Staff very attentive and informative catering for dietary needs. A venue worth coming back to spend more time and enjoy the wider menu.

A vibrant place of Turkish food. I will start with the ambiance, It is quite a happening place. When we were there it was all packed. Beautiful decoration in the restaurant. 5 star for the vibe. Staff was helpful and attentive. Thank you for your service. Now let's come to the food - 4 Star for the food as the Penne arrabbiata that we order was having a distinct smell of something and was spicy but not seasoned well. Burger was tasteless. Although fries was good and crispy. 5 star for fries but 3 for burger. Tabuleh was good. Mixed grill platter was good as well. So overall it was a mixed experience. Except food Everything was okay. They have a kind of promotion going on where they are giving discount vouchers for the next visit. So you can and discover this restaurant.

I always order the same thing; humus with lamb followed by the mixed grill. Both dishes were as always excellent. Service is always good, constantly checking everything is fine and if you need anything else. I didn't (and never) dance with the belly dancer, but that's just me

I've been to Istanblu about 4 times in 2023, usually unbooked. The staff have always been welcoming, knowledgeable about the dishes and wine, and super friendly. The food is delicious. Today, we visited with two young children and grandparents for a family occasion, and everyone loved the food, so much so that we asked for a takeaway bag for anything we couldn't finish. I highly recommend Istanblu!

This was a belated birthday party for my daughter and her friends (avg age 7 yrs old) The staff were welcoming and friendly. Really looked after the kids and treated them so kindly. Food was perfectly cooked and tasty. Substantial meal Portions. Even the kids meals were very good quality and most didn’t manage to finish everything. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful welcoming restaurant overlooking Hampton court bridge and palace. Large menu choice and great large portions of food. Always a delight to eat here with the friendly staff.

Tripped into this amazing restaurant and had the best food, service, ambiance. The hummus with lamb starter is so delish. Chicken kebab plate scrumptious. The large chin is of grilled chicken were tender and served with rice, fresh salad, tomato and cucumber. Large selection of food on the menu. Highly recommend!

My friends took me here for my birthday dinner. The staff was wonderful and very very friendly - they made the experience 100x better. The food was DELICIOUS!! But the portions were VERRRYY BIG (you have to come on an empty stomach). Overall 10/10 for the whole experience :))

Just ate here with all my friends for a birthday :) Food was delicious and the portion size was MASSIVE. Plenty of food for great prices; a couple could definitely share a hot main :))) definitely get the humous with the lamb or if you’re veggie, just the humous with the fresh bread. Staff was great as well, so lovely and even let us cut a cake we brought in and sang happy birthday. Staff cracked so many jokes and atmosphere was amazing. Will definitely be coming again, loved it so much :)

Had a wonderful dinner here, only issue is we ordered too much food! Got the dinner meze platter for two, this would have been enough but we also ordered a Pide. All the food was really great, would definitely go again if we are ever in the area again. Service was really good.

After just retuning from Turkey and getting the best service and hospitality. I found this place lack all of this. Had to wait ages for our food. Was t greeted with any smiles and definately did not make us feel exited to return. A little over price for my liking.

Last Saturday seemed to be the hottest day this summer and we were wandering around looking for an air conditioned restaurant to have dinner . Having popped into two and quickly exiting we found ourselves outside Istanblu. We were greeted with a beautiful smile by the young lady on duty , who was on her last night before returning to uni. She assured us they were air conditioned and showed us to a lovely spacious table . The gentlemen who served us were also incredibly friendly and helpful . The food was perfect for such a humid evening, light tasty and beautifully presented. A good varied and reasonably priced wine list added to the meal . We will be back even though we live in Dorset . Thank you for making our evening extremely pleasant

We visited for my 50th birthday. Had an fantastic time. The staff were really friendly and so helpful. Food was amazing and they even surprised me with a dessert with candles and a chorus of happy birthday. We will definitely be going back.

Food is okay , not worth for the price.

Do NOT order from this establishment, they’re portions are tiny. I ordered a £20 mixed grill but the portion size is not £20 worth of food unfortunately. The restaurant did not attempt to resolve the issue but simple said “they will pass on the feedback” - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

We came here on Thursday. We arrived at Hampton Court station around noon. On our way to Hampton Court Palace. We were a bit hungry so we found this place, we saw the lunch menu sign outside. It was quite a good deal. One course is £9.8, two courses is £12.8. We went in and checked the menu. It looked quite standard, so we choose to eat here. The restaurant manager let us seat whatever we wanted. The waiting staff is very kind and friendly. The food is mainly Turkish food and there are some pasta and pizza dishes. We ordered pesto penn and meat wrap. The portion is good enough. The pesto penn is refreshing and herby. The meat wrap is also juicy but the meat is slightly chewy. We got very full up after the meal! The outdoor seating area is very close to the main role. Although no service charge, the service was very good.

Just had lovely pre dinner drinks with an old school friend! It was beautiful sitting by the window looking over the river, perfect for my rosé. The waitress, i think her name was kaz, was so welcoming and felt like I was talking to an old friend. I would really recommend istanblu for the service alone.
