Very disappointed. Booked back in December for our 5th anniversary for today at 1pm, turned up & it’s closed?! No communication whatsoever. Terrible service 👎🏻

Ordered dinner for husband's birthday.Online website say order accepted and food cooking. After50 mints time period. No show. Waited more 30_40 mints thinking it ll come. Still no show. Baby had to sleep without proper food. We phone them lots of time. Not picking up. So husband had to go all the way there to find out the restaurant is closed.. Poor husband had to pick up some fast food as all were hungry. Paid online so have to call tomorrow to get refund/ to avoid payment which is accepted online. . So disappointed as the birthday was spoilt n everyone didnot eat properly as it was too late order from a restaurant. Why take order online and accept online payment when restaurant is closed.lost my faith for japanese restaurant for online order.such a waste of our birthday dinner . Feel bad for the birthday boy. 😡😡😡

Awesome place, great foods and friendly staff.

I lived and worked in Japan for several years and my meal at ISO Sushi was quite honestly the worst Japanese food I have ever eaten in my life! I ordered the Mushroom Ramen and two different maki rolls and was very disappointed with the taste and the quantity. There are literally "instant ramen kits" available on Amazon that taste much better than what ISO Sushi is offering it's customers. It is a real shame because the Sidcup high street could really benefit from new restaurants. In my opinion it appears ISO Sushi is cutting corners on taste, just to turn a profit. There are several other Japanese restaurants near Bexley that offer much better quality. Do not waste your money at ISO Sushi in Sidcup!

We ordered a delivery through Just Eat, I had the prawn nasi goreng - the rice was stodgy, the prawns undercooked and I had to retry them in chilli oil to get some flavour into them. The whole dish was tasteless, and more like an overcooked paella. My partner had chicken taking yakisoba which he said was edible but not great. For the price we paid we get better value and flavour for money from our usual Indian takeaway.

Eaten here a few times. Eaten in, got take aways and delivery. The survive is terrible and he delivery is even worse. If you call up to find out what’s going on you’ll jut get fobbed off or some verbal abuse. The food itself is actually nice if it’s not spent 2 hours in a car making the 0.4 mile journey to your house

The food here is delicious, fresh and the menu is varied. The service is friendly and welcoming and we had a lovely evening.

I have ordered from here for take out and was nicely surprised how good their gyoza and yakisoba was. So we came for lunch this weekend and my husband, who isn't keen on oriental food, had the chicken Katsu with rice and really loved it! Although a small-ish looking meal it more than fills you up! I had the chicken gyoza and mini chicken yakisoba form he kids menu (the normal one in the From The Wok menu is far too much fo rme) and as usual it was gorgeous! Mochi for desert was also SO GOOD! Staff were attentive without being overbearing and really nice. Will deffo come back and keep ordering for take out. Yes, they are a little more expensive but there aren't that many Japanese restaurants about, whereas Chinese restaurants are two a penny.

Two stars for it arriving hot and being somewhat edible. Kids teriyaki was okay but didn't have enough sauce. Mushroom udon broth was flavourless with cheap mushrooms and the life boiled out of them. Gyoza is completely deep-fried(likely from frozen) so if you are expecting yaki gyoza, it's not. Nigiri rice was stale ergo inedible. it could be way better ingredient and flavour wise.

I didn’t know what to expect after reading some of the negative reviews but I am EXTREMELY happy I placed this order yesterday night. We ordered a sushi mixed fish box, Japanese style fries and a Seafood rice dish. My partner is very fussy with food as she has intolerances so I decided to give ISO Sushi a go. Prices are very reasonable! I have no complaints just a huge smile of satisfaction of how good the food was! This will definitely be my regular for ordering food and want to say please keep up the standard! The sushi with rice feels so much more substantial than other places like “Wasabi” – Very filling. The only thing I would mention is that the Wasabi and ginger additional packets are priced a little higher than expected. But cant complain, I LOVED the food!

Takeaway order from just eat..... Ordered Teriyaki beef with garlic...Got a small bowl of rice with dry crispy shredded beef with a load of honey covered over it which soaked down into the rice making it un-edible unless your willy wonka. No flavour no soy and nothing like it shows on the website. Chicken Gyoza were hard and dry and came with chilli mayo???? Avoid this place, i cant see them lasting long.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The so called two owners of this business are selfish, ignorant and disgustingly rude! Their attitude is something else. I have read some replies from them to their reviewers and I am really shocked! Looks like they can’t take in or accept rejections , failures or people disapproving their food. A friend of mine had worked here for two weeks . They promised to pay my friend in cash every week and can leave if the job isn’t suitable . When my friend decided to leave they wouldn’t pay and decided to play little silly games . One of them asked to give an invoice and promised to pay which never happened . I’m sure this isn’t the first time they’ve done this with someone ! They’ve probably done this with many more people therefore they’re always looking out for new staff as the previous ones always leave! Nonsense . Few years down the line this restaurant will close down because of the attitude they have ! ITS REAlly SAD AND UPSETTING HOW SOMEONE CAN DO THIS WITH ANOTHER HUMAN so I couldn’t help but write this review . Now i will have some dumb pathetic response on my review by one of these so called owners the same way they’ve left nasty responses back to the reviews . I am sure those reviewers are genuinely speaking the truth. Keep them coming ! You’re meant to accept what the customers say and work on making the business better . Customers are always right remember !

Friends and I had a nice meal here last Friday and as we were all driving we ordered soft drinks and tea with our food. The wok fried chicken and noodles were good as was the teriyaki and we also had some sushi to start with, however when we came to pay the bill the 3 cups of tea came to £8.85, more than the cost of a main dish! When we complained they said they couldn’t change it because that’s what the computer (till?) said? Why oh why do some (local)restaurants spoil there chances of repeat business and reputation for the sake of a few measly quid as we will not be returning as we came away feeling ripped off, who was a shame as the food was ok.

Worst sushi of my life and I’ve had a lot! Also took 2 hours to arrive (was a delivery). You have to pay for wasabi and soy! Check out the roll (first photo) think this place might be for vegetarians/vegans! And the salt and pepper squid, unsurprisingly was cold and soggy. They should also probably state that their udon noodle dishes are soups, that is not a given. All in all an abominable experience. I urge you with all my might not to order food from there. The second photo is from somewhere that does fairly average sushi, spot the difference! 🍣🤢

A photo can say more than a thousand words. Everything (else) was terrible (cold salt & pepper squid, yuk!) and we had to wait 2 hours for the privilege! And you had to pay for wasabi and soy sauce. 🍣

Came with my wife for lunch. I ordered a pumpkin katsu curry and she ordered udon noodles. The katsu curry was OK and i ate most of it. The noodles were very poor and my wife got through about half. The waiter seemed to be in a very bad mood and was borderline aggressive.... nearly as aggressive as the replies from the owners on Google reviews. Anyway not a nice experience and needless to say that was our one and only visit. Don't think this place will last long to be honest. In response: Have only just seen the pathetic response from the utter fools that run this place. Whenever I walk past, the place is empty. People are cottoning on to these fraudsters and are letting their feet do the talking by not returning. Not long left for ISO Sushi it would seem. Good riddance I say.

After receiving the wrong order we finally received the right order after an hour, with extras! A long black hair in my sushi handrol. Discusting! First time I ordered here and never again. Also reported the issue to the Food Standards Agency.

Have ordered from them a few times before and the customer service and delivery speed has been on point. Their unagi was delicious and fresh tasting and their handrolls were a decent size and packed with flavour. It is not the most expensive sushi but not the cheapest either. Would order again.

You have to try the sushi, it’s so fresh and I can’t wait to go back very soon. It beats any sushi I have had before and I have been recommending it to everyone.

Delicious meal, clean restaurant, lovely staff. I love katsu and I will be reordering this one. Chicken is perfectly crispy and the sauce is tasty. Good sticky rice. Altogether a really great dish and I would recommend.

We ordered via Deliveroo and the best part of it was the prawn crackers we bought at the Co-op. The 86% rating on Deliveroo is misleading, it was the worst experience I had take away and restaurants included. It makes wasabi look like a Michelin restaurant. I usually don't write reviews but people need to know how bad it is.

Tried the new sushi bar in the high street and it was terrible! Asked for California roll which I love and you could not cut the avocado with a knife! The sushi was served with no wasabi, ginger or even a small dish for the soy! We sent that back and asked for the daily special of chicken and noodles!! The chicken was fine but tasteless but the noodles tasted burnt and was vile! Such a shame as living so near the high street!!

Me and my husband came here few days ago. Such a lovely place and food was yummy. The guy who served us was wonderful, I could not eat all my food and he put in a takeaway pot for me. Double checking if everything was ok. Such a lovely man. Definitely go here again and recommend.

We had a selection of sushi’s which were also yummy but my favourite was by far the teriyaki chicken! It was full of flavour and a good sized portion.

Nice to have a sushi place on the high street. Food had great flavour and the katsu was on point, but the udon was presently as seen in the pictures with the noodles being a bit chewy. The interior was quite bright, which made the white walls look quite clinical. The bathroom was quite good, I enjoyed the individual hand towels instead of a hand dryer or paper towels, but there wasn’t anywhere to put them, which was a concern. Some comments have been made about the music, but this really wasn’t an issue at all.

In London for the weekend and decided to go to ISO sushi for my first sushi experience. It was so tasty with a great range of options for vegetarians, that we had to order a few dishes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food arrived quickly, as it is freshly cooked infront of you. I would definitely come back next time I am in London and try everything else they have to offer. 10/10.

Poorly done Japanese food. We attended on Tuesday 21st Aug at 7pm, table of 3 ladies (you can ask the staff). The duck gyozas appeared to be cooked from frozen, the yakisoba was bland and the sushi was very tough and poor quality. Both food and drinks overpriced. Not worth a visit (in my honest opinion). Have just had an extremely disappointing lunch The noodles were so over cooked it was just a mush that stuck together..we mentioned they were over cooked when the waitress asked if everything was ok, she just said sorry, but didn’t offer to replace. We didn’t have much time anyway so ate what we could. We asked for the bill, we were charged in full..when we mentioned it, we were told that she had mentioned it to the chef..VERY poor customer service at the time we were the only people in there..we won’t be returning In response to Managers answer. ... we had not eaten all the noodles...we picked the prawns out and vegetables but had in fact left most of the noodles as they were so soggy. We feel the waitress should have responded to the problem.

Messed up my order twice. I ordered a miso udon. 1st time didnt get any noodles. 2nd had spice added... and they wouldnt let me get a 3rd? Other than that their sushi, maki and handrolls were good. In response: It does look like you have stepped up to my problem but I called them as they said I should and I was told that they do not know why their colleague wrote this response. I also do not believe that the owner responded as I was told that I could speak to the person next week?

Absolutely amazing service and such tasty food. Had dinner with girl friends. Menu is perfect, there was something for everyone. Service was awesome and the owners were very accommodating. One of the best chicken Katsu curries I have ever tasted, very fresh food. Will be back definitely!

We was a party of 16. Let me start by stating, The waitresses were amazing, very attentive, quick and very efficient together. The food was of a very generous proportion. Myself and my fiancee had the lamb chops to start (unjapanese to cater for pregnancy) and main was crispy beef, rice teryaki (apologies for my spelling) other members went for a very mixed menu, so the chef was certainly put to top alert.... and delivered, no delays. We didn't finish our plates, it was a little too much for us both. We was overall very impressed and will be coming back! My rating is missing a star because of the lack of a liquor license and also no aircon (although a fan was provided) it got very hot when the cooking took place. Perfect little spot for a take away or sit in meal. It has a bright & vibrant atmosphere with a reasonably priced menu. I very much enjoyed the teriyaki salmon and the crunchy prawn & avocado hand roll.

Restaurant felt cramped, music was loud and overbearing and the fish was overcooked and chewy. The presentation of the seafood Udon was slap dash at best with the boiled egg resembling a road killed chicken and the fish not looking much better. Service was fine but will not be returning as the experience was disappointing. Update: I have amended by rating due to the lack of a professional attitude by the staff as shown in their responses to negative criticism and the dubious nature of some of the recent positive reviews. An establishment should adapt to customer feedback rather than antagonizing and blaming their patrons.

This is not in anyways a real sushi experience! Don't go to eat here.......tuna was not fresh and salmon was not even cut properly. Slapping some fish on unpacked rice means it will fall apart! when staff asked for feedback....just asked and walked off.....bad service and training is definitely overlooked. Heed the warnings only disappointment awaits you! I find it sad that the restaurant requires fake reviews to lure people in. But as they say the proof is in the pudding! Business 101 repeat business is essential to the survival of any young restaurant and word of mouth is far more effective than any other form of marketing. This restaurant will not make it in a years time......Please don't wish me any luck as you will need all the luck you can muster. please google sashimi.....it is a japanese delicacy which consists of finely cut RAW fish, your menu is unauthentic! Try to market your food as fushion and maybe that will prepare customers for disappointment.

Absolutely dismal experience at iso sushi sidcup. You're firstly greeted by very loud inappropriate club music. The lady waitress was nice as she took our order but it unfortunately all went downhill from there. She brought over the pot of green tea but didn't pour it out and their tea pots are the short spout ones so half of it leaks all over the table as you're pouring it. The ramen was bland, the yakisoba did not taste authentic and the soft shell crab sushi was more breadcrumb than crab. But at least they were edible. Unfortunately, their tuna on the nigiri was grey! Did not look fresh and had probably been left out for too long and oxidised, we couldn't even try a single piece it just looked that unappetising. However, we had to complain about the mixed sashimi. The manager lied to us that it stated on the menu it is seared on one side and when he brought the menu over there was not one mention of seared sashimi. He then argued that it looks like the photo in the menu and on very close inspection you can see that there is a slither of searing but theirs was cooked a third way through which made the sashimi undelectably warm and chewy, not the melt in your mouth sashimi we're accustomed to even with supermarket bought sashimi. The owner obviously has no customer service experience rating by how he dealt with our complaint and how he has responded to other negative reviews on Google which has created the necessity for us to leave a review. The food is very pricey for the quality. Never in my life have I left a restaurant with food left on the plate and a sour taste in the mouth.

It should really allow you to put 0 stars on here. Don't usually do reviews but i just had to because this place really is dreadful. Prices are normal for a sushi place but what we got in return definitely not worth it. Noodles=bland. I've honestly had better instant Noodles. Fish was not fresh. Rolls poorly assembled. I could've fine better using my feet. Tuna=Grey?. Salmon looked like it was from a supermarket. Mixed Sashimi we ordered was half SEARED??!!. When we returned it they still had the audacity to put it on our bill and the manager question why we wanted it removed from the bill? Seriously who cooks sashimi?! Girl who served us was okay at first but then service was non existent thereafter even though we were the only customers in there! The dude with long blonde hair who served us seemed clueless. When our bill was amended he asked how the rest of the food was and as I responded he starts to walk away? Seriously why bother. I feel sorry for anyone who actually rates the food in this place because you clearly don't know what real sushi is like. Itself too japanese cuisine. Only reason why we tried this place was because of the "positive" reviews which in my experience are definitely unjustified. I would upload pictures I took but my phone camera actually makes the food look more vibrant then the poor food we had in real life. I honestly feel like posting the pictures in black and white would've been a more accurate depiction. PLEASE AVOID IF YOU LIKE SUSHI. But feel free to visit if you ever wanna know what it feels like to eat poor quality food whilst listening to random house music and laughing at the fake bonsai trees that take up a quarter of the table.

Moving from Japan was a real big deal for me as I love the delicacy and culture and food of my country. It’s been hard to find a local sushi and authentic Japanese cuisine other than yo sushi or anything main stream which I dont quite enjoy. I must say I am very happy that iso sushi is local to me and even more happier to my surprisement of how good the food is I can’t fault it every dish I have tried has been absolute deliscious bursting with flavours and makes me feel at home the staff were very attentive and there at the drop of a hat food served in good time and at high standard I see some of the reviews on here from fellow Japanese people and my thinkings are they have 1. Nothing better to do and 2. Trying to dodge the bill I look forward to my next visit and I will be a regular customer all my fellow Japanese bill scrimpeds trying to avoid paying and crying about your experience. Please don’t go again more food for me in my eyes. ISO SUSHI KEEP IT UP GREAT ALL ROUND RESTAURENT

This was my second experience at this new restaurant the vibe that is given off from the staff is perfect, the food is amazing my favourite dish is definitely the chicken yakisoba full of flavour and also includes the companies own twist on a Japanese classic, also the tuna sashimi is to die for perfect for a light lunch. I am someone who loves Japanese and Oriental cuisine this is the perfect little spot for the area in which it is located. VISIT WHEN YOU CAN ITS WORTH IT !!.

I was looking for lunch in sidcup and was so excited to find this new restaurant. I had a Katsu curry, really enjoyed it. Great flavours, really fresh. A great variety on the menu of both hot and cold food. I’ll be visiting again soon.

I must admit, I was hesitant when my friend suggested Japanese, but Oh. My. God. I was amazed!!! The food was out of this world - fresh, tasty and bags of flavour! The atmosphere was bright, energetic and immaculately clean...did I mention the staff? No? Well, where do I start...attentive, professional and not bad on the eyes, either! It was a 10/10 experience...well recommended!

Nice, clean place. Opened just a month ago and we've been for the first time. Good tasty sushi, friendly staff. Good variety of dishes. We popped in to order take away and had to wait for about 15-20 minutes. So, for take away it's probably better to place an order over the phone/online.

A disappointing lunchtime treat. Surprisingly tasteless choice of squid that was half garnished, dumpling and noodle soup and katsu curry. Loud inappropriate music also being played.
