Ishtar lounge in Peterborough

For me, it is the best lounge. Food is very tasty, shiha is amazing.

Celebrated my 60th birthday on Saturday night. Despite it being exceptionally busy they went out of there way to make sure all 10 of us were satisfied and topped up with drinks. If you go I recommend the sharing platters. Better than the ones I've had in Turkey A+++

best place in Peterborough, to eat, relax and smoke. Everytime we go, I can't complain. The employees are always amazing, food is 10/10 definitely recommend the chicken shish and Adana kofte! definitely get yourself a strawberry daiquiri best mocktail on the menu! they have new items on the menu which is great!

Everything so perfect in that place. Is always a privilege and a honour to turn up in the every chance that I get.

Went with a group of people. drinks menu is quite extensive, the outdoor shisha area was really warm and comfy.

I have had the pleasure of dining at Ishtar lounge on a few occasions this month celebrating various family events. This is now our go to restaurant as we know the food will be delicious and the staff friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are good. Ishtar lounge is a hidden gem and if you haven’t already tried it you definitely should.

I ordered a plate for 2 people and when I opened it at home it didn't show . must be checked the food is good the price not cheap we also need seriousness to serve us

Great place. Good food, great Shisha. Plenty of space. The outside area is heated. I believe they do offer blankets too. The staff are so friendly and helpful and attentive. After finding this place recently we will definitely be going back! Oh, we did. The following week we went back and it was still as good and different staff on shift. Reasonable prices.

They should employ someone who knows how to run a bar. After ordering and paying for two drinks I had to ask 3 times were are they? They also did not have a clue what prosecco was. Fortunately when the rest of our party arrived service was better. Probably because they knew each other. Food was ok but I have had a lot better. I will not be going there again

Fantastic experience! We had a staff Christmas party at Ishtar Lounge on 15/12/2023 and we couldn't wish for better! Lovely place, spot on service and amenities, delicious food and affordable prices! A hidden gem in Peterborough, service is always absolutely amazing and the food is addictive once you visit ishtar you will be a regular customer and that's from someone who travels 40 minutes to get here and it's worth every minute. A decent place if you enjoy shisha its must be a place for you. I tried 2 times for their food as they serve Halal and the food is incredible! Must order their Mixed grill kebab which cooked perfectly with incredible flavour. Did not tried their Mocktails from the menu but heard they had some good Moctails. Decent sized portions, served quite quickly and is a busy sociable atmosphere.

Worse experience,waited more than 1h,missed order,no apologies received,instead been told they dropped on the floor,and could've took that and bring it to table without saying a word. Never be back here

My Mum and I popped into this restaurant as a last minute decision before going to the cinema. Neither of us had ever been before and we certainly weren’t disappointed. The staff were very friendly and the food was exceptional. Great portion sizes for a great price. Definitely better priced than other Turkish restaurants in the area. I will absolutely be back and spreading the word.

Really bad experience never felt that bad in any restaurant,staff is sooo rude with unwelcoming behaviour,plates came after food served could you guys believe it.literally after seeing their rude faces got scared to ask anything

Worst customer service I have ever experienced very unwelcoming behaviour,Atleast 5 different people served us and all of them were soo rude literally I felt that if I ask them something they might start fighting.Never ever will go again.

Apart they lost my booking, the staff and ambiance is the worst. We were "planted" in their occasion room, and the music was absolutely loud. We could not hear eachother so we shouted. Probably a better management is necessary.

Worst and became worster. It s not the first time i went here, but this evening everything grew worster. Booking lost, bad service and missing personnel. We were received in their occasion hall. The music was so loud we Could not hear eachother. People in the hall got pissed and no one looked Happy. Apparently they dont care about their Customers but only those they know. We went here as a quick stop on a long journey for a quick bite to eat, we discovered its more of a shisha lounge than a restaurant however the food was still good as were the mocktails. Decor and atmosphere is lovely.

Their food is very nice. Especially kofte chicken and peri peri chicken. The portion are quite good. Half peri peri chicken has sufficient portion for 2 along with chip, little rice bulgar and salads. They have shisha incase you like to use. Also mocktails and cocktails. Prices are decent for portions. Would recommend if you are around.

First time visit, having driven by many times and not been in since it was the Claypipe . Upon entering the atmosphere and friendliness of the place was evident. We ordered our food following a recommendation by the host . Our food arrived was well presented , tasty and plenty but not over the top . We sat enjoying our food under no pressure to leave and enjoying the ambience. A great find and we will be back . Thanks for a great night .

Ishtar lounge is an amazing place to hang out with friends/family. Great food, good ambience, pleasant shishas and really friendly and helpful staff. Special shout-out to Hussam who always makes sure we are comfortable and caters to everything we ask for.

Attended ishtar yesterday for a family christening, when we arrived we had to Stand and wait 45 minutes to order our first drinks before being served. The customer service was poor the staff members were rude an arrogant, leaving our party ages to get drinks there should be someone checking on us regular for the money that we spent on this place. Our food came out cold! The staff did not know where anything was going. Forgot loads of our order. When our food came out the chicken wings smelt rotten, the manager tried justifying this that they were fine he went out the back to get the batch of wings that were cooked to say they were fine and fresh when you opened the chicken you could smell how rotten they were. I’m pregnant myself which has made me poorly! Other party members are also poorly got upset stomachs, this is really unacceptable!! Highly would not recommend unless you want to be served by arrogant rude staff and get poorly from rotten chicken.

Spent ridiculous amounts of money on my christening party to be served rotten chicken wings and spent 45 mins to be served at the bar with the drinks being very over priced the food was cold on arrival not the right orders out staff very rude didn’t no how to deal with the sit then tried to show me the in cooked wings for them to smell like rotting meat the children and half the adults are sick and I will be going to trading standards as I was not offered a refund just a replacement of food which was then all left as people did not wish to consume rotten meat

Attending a friends event. Venue was lovely. Food on the other hand, the chicken on the bone had a vulgar smell coming from it as if it was out of date and then cooked. Most of the people at event smelt the chicken and agreed with us and staff members. When addressed to the manager he was argumentative and actually bought out raw chicken for us to smell despite customer always being right. A room full of people can't be wrong. The following day, my daughter has had a very bad stomach resulting in her not being well!

Tried the Sheisha at Ishtar, pretty decent flavour and taste, I always go for grape mint mix. they should work on the ambiance though. Value for money is very good and quality of Sheisha is very very good. looking forward to trying their food and Kunafeh next time.

Park at your own risk!!! visited this place for some lunch and got a parking ticket which the owners could do nothing about. when asked why I got a ticket unfairly, a member of management rudely replied it is not their problem and I have to appeal myself. Poor from start to finish, will not be returning any time soon

Unrivaled! Great atmosphere, tasty menu, good value for money, good music and best shisha in Peterborough. The staff are phenomenal and make me feel incredibly comfortable, they really make a difference to your experience. Highly recommend, I can gaurantee you'll have a good time.

The best place for shisha and not only. The falafel burger is awesome as well also they've got very good cocktails. I use to drink Mojito which is the best. The staff is very friendly and there for you

I have had to call these twice today in regards to a booking we had. Both times resulted in them being very rude on the phone. No communication skills. They didn't even care to keep us as customers or make effort. They told us we wouldn't be getting fed mains if we come. When I asked if they can't try and sort something they just said "uhhh". Both times they don't say by and the call just cuts off. I won't go to this restaurant again.

Booked with them as I'd seen that they are part of tastecard 2 for 1 and dine 25% discount. However they told me that they are not part of either scheme and I must pay full price. As at today, they are still listed on both apps offering the discount. Food was very good, but don't go there if you are expecting a 2-1 meal.

Best place for shisha,staff and manager are so welcoming.. atmosphere there is so nice. Everytime I've been there with my friends the manager has looked after us and been so welcoming!! The food is so good there my favourite dish is the seafood dish king prawns!

Excellent food, good service but very noisy.

Have visited the restaurant earlier today, the food was lovely, compliments to the chef, however the customer service we have received from a lady today was discusting. She had an angry face the whole time serving us, very unpolite, there was barely any communication, the experience felt really bad.

Been a few times but very disappointed and won't be going again. Some of the staff need customer service training. Booked a table for 6 and they tried to seat us near the counter and the front door entrance which I thought was ridiculous. Been okay sometimes in the past but will avoid from now on.

I would give zero stars if possible because the customer service was absolutely terrible. We booked a table for six including a disabled child. They gave us a table right next to the door of the open entrance and by the counter; it was cold and noisy there. I suggested moving to another table where there were some empty places. They didn't even attempt to accommodate us. The woman in the dreadlocks was particularly rude and obnoxious - I wonder if she has heard of the term 'customer service'. When I go out for meal I expect 3 things: good customer service, nice ambience and good food. This place had neither ambience or customer service. I didn't stay to find out about the food. Give me a Mac Donalds with fries any day of the week instead. I seriously recommend the owner to train his staff.
