Dined in last night. Never eaten at any GDK. Absolutely faultless. Food was amazing. Service amazing and clean premises. Well done everyone. Highly recommend and will be returning again.

The wrap was delicious and fresh, containing all the requested ingredients. The box kebabs were also tasty, but I ordered two different meats for the box meals, and there was no label/ticked to indicate which box contained which meat. The meat was topped with fries and salad, so it was impossible to see what was underneath. The original kebab included spicy sauce despite my request for its removal. The food's temperature was unsatisfactory; it was barely warm upon arrival. I have a microwave and could warm the food, but for the price I paid, I did not expect that.

Went during lunch so atmosphere would of been normal. Best premium kebab in town. Better than kebab house and any other kebab chain in the county!

Decided to go for a cheeky GDK on my lunch break and so glad I did, quick service was in and out in 5 mins and everything tasted great as always! Never disappoints!

Very small kebab only 2-3 piece kebab they charge me £12 with one drinks , also kebab was cold , im not happy, I'm sorry for my review but i have no choice because i was very hungry ,I'm not local customer i was a visitors as a my experience they need to serve people proper proson. Because of money values not enough meals.

Food is great, staff are wonderful, only downside is bathroom and tables downstairs are a bit wobbly.

The food here is amazing, I've been there a few times and the food is very tasty and is made quite quickly. I remember when I first came here, not long after opening, the food too quite a while to make. Now, they do it much faster and I can see the improvement in service. I love the doner boxes, they never miss.

Disgusting service, thiefs working at this place... Ordered through just eat first and OG kebab and a KCAL kebab with extra chicken. For the extra chicken I payed extra £2.99 (extra 30% over the original price) but they have left out the extra chicken from my order... I didn't complained as I though it is a one-time mistake, however I was extremely wrong... I've ordered again from them, this time two OG kekabs, one with extra chicken, the other normal. Obviously for the extra chicken I had to pay £2.99 extra, yet again received my kebab without the extra chicken, both kebabs were exactly the same weight. This is called theft/scam, Charging me for good but then not delivering... Also it took over 2 hrs from placing the order to receive it, ice cold... Disgusting service,.,

Had a great experience at GDK Peterborough! The food was fresh, tasty, and full of flavor. The kebabs were spot on—juicy meat, crispy bread, and the sauces just tied everything together perfectly. The portion sizes were just right, and everything tasted high quality. Better than uk kebab… The staff were friendly and service was quick, even when it was busy. The place was clean and had a nice vibe. Definitely one of the best spots for a good kebab in Peterborough! Will be coming back for sure.

It's my favourite place. The food is very delicious. I don't know what magic they use when preparing the food, but is finger licking. The bread of the kebab.... OMG it's soo delicious. 😍 Absolutely recommended!

For some strange reasons, i get bigger potions on Saturdays than Sundays. Noticed this on 19th Jan. I ordered three Doner boxes. We were still bit hungry after meal which never happened before. Otherwise everything is good. Just thinking of having something different on Sundays. Update - visited on 1-Feb again. We were approached by the store lady to discuss the issue faced earlier. She assured that it would be looked into. I am happy to update the ratings.

I posted 1st review comment 3 years ago (2022). It was 5 stars . Posted on 19th Jan, 2025: Food is good, but due to one person I have to down the rating. In the kitchen side, there is one chef ( short height) , whenever he is in the store , he is always giving less quantity. This is happening mostly on Sunday. But it's not normal. Other day, they are serving food good quantity. The owner of this shop should talk with that person and try to understand why he is doing this. And that person is behaving very improperly with the customer. Update 1st February, 2025: Today we received nice gesture from GDK. There is another employee. She is really nice and personally asked the concern. When we explained, she understood and addressed it properly. Thank you for taking care your regular customer's concern. All the best. I have changed the star to 5 stars again.

My first and last time at this place. We waited 30 minutes for two kebabs—total waste of time. The cashier, who was also handling orders (the man with glasses), was completely lost with orders and receipts—definitely not suited for this job. The wait time for food was WAY too long. The kebab itself was disappointing—no sauce inside, you have to buy it separately, and it comes in a box, making it difficult to add to the kebab. On top of that, I found a huge, hard piece of cabbage inside. I do not recommend this place.

£9 for a cold meal. I’d go to greggs to get a cold sandwich and drink for £3 not a kebab shop with a cold kebab!

We both got the Kcal kebab with mixed meat and it was delicious and it was served very quickly. We went to the till so we could ask questions and modify them better. And the staff were very nice and patient.

I recently visited German Doner Kebab, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The salad tasted stale, lacking any freshness, which was disappointing. The chicken and beef were cut far too thick, making the texture unpleasant and difficult to enjoy. Overall, the flavors were underwhelming and nowhere near deserving of a 5-star rating. I had hoped for a better experience but left disappointed.

Best food iv ever had very nice

Down to one ordering kiosk (out of two) and while there is a bit of a wait, food was outstanding and fresh. It did take a while to get my food but the staff made sure that even with the delay it was hot and I didn't have to wait forever. I would say it took the best part of 6 to 10 minutes but it wasn't any longer than that. I took away but there was a decent enough atmosphere. If they sorted the the service perhaps with another member of staff I think that would solve the problem but otherwise I can't knock it really.

Good food, queue to use the single self service console (one was out of order) and no one at the counter to alleviate the queue. Other frustration was no WiFi ( had to have an account but no way to set one up?!?)Otherwise would have downloaded the app to order.

Awful food, awful service ! I ordered a kebab box with extra meat and cheesy chips to be given half the usual portion of meet with hardly any cheese, having paid extra for both. When I raised it I was met with rudeness from.the chef (who also seemed to be the manager). He has rude and unhelpful. In the end he 'decided' give me extra beef and cheese for my chips but put the cheese on the extra beef. Awful service...sloppy and after all that tasted awful and cold. Dreadful experience for my first and last visit to the Peterborough branch of what is usually a great fast food chain

They used to be better, seems like they are rushing to get things done quickly with not enough member of staff. The food is good but used to be better. It doesn’t look like the images anymore. That’s a shame. 😢I had to be asking for sauces because the attendant was giving me one by one sachet.

This place has gone down hill so much. The food is not what it used to be. I ordered a number of items and all were very poor qualitty. The kebab had all the sauces in it. They used to put them in pots. This would not be a problem but one of the sauces the person who was eating that item can not have. Another had little to no filling. After calling them the person on the other end said they put all the sauces in not in pots if you order on uber. well thats odd as the panini onlt had one sauce but has the same optrions on uber. Taste wise very poor I would not recomend GDK to anyone. There are much better takeouts to buy from in this city.

another time in Peterborough and another time very unhappy. I ate GDK in Milton and also Lakeside, everywhere the same meal has different taste, and unfortunately Peterborough is the worst. I always pay extra for extra meal and don't think it's greater then normal. on a picture that box looks full filled with meat and veg, however in real looks like half box despite it's double portion of meat. I need to find another place for kebab here. only 3 stars.

The food just arrived and cold, delivered on time stated,however, chips and the hash brown sides were cold, the wrong items were in the incorrect box, so spend a minute or so swapping items over. The cheese sauce never arrived.

Big thumbs up for the tall lady that takes the orders at the till. Every time when I eat here she shows amazing hygiene, wears gloves all the time and makes sure that she respects the health standards and customer service. I have problems with the chefs that are preparing the food because of hair and nails reasons, but I won't destroy this lady's review for them. She is a keeper!

Extremely rude staff if I could I would give 0 stars but unfortunately one star is minimal, if you ask them for a napkin they throw it at you in disgust as if you asked them for free food, I can't figure out why they still work there if they don't feel like customers, incredibly rude and insensitive people!!

I went to order and I asked the lady from the till if I should collect the food and she was like “I will bring it to you” she didn’t give me a receipt or anything,I started eating and as soon as I found the bone in my wrap I went to her and I asked “what is this?” She touched the bone and she said “ooh,a bone” and she was so relaxed and said “what? It’s very small” I didn’t say anything and I wrote the review on Google and she came up to me and said “you wrote the review on Google and you should delete it,the bone was smal not big,and why did you started eating it?” And I was so shocked that she was more worried about the review than the customers safety I told her that I ate until I found the bone as I found the bone I have the food to her,and she was so rude and she told me that next time she will not sell to me. I mean what if I would’ve choked on that bone? So rude and so disrespectful how do people like that get hired?

I am not happy with the delivery of my order because the lady who was supposed to deliver to number 82 which is on the second floor called me quite unpleasantly and informed me that if I do not go downstairs to get the food she will return it to the restaurant because there is a small dog running around in the parking lot without a leash where I do not see any connection between this and the delivery of my food. I picked up the food and it is delicious as always

Unsure what went wrong with this brand. Decent when it first came along now it’s a soggy mess of bland salad, a tiny amount of fatty chewy chicken and a stale bread thing surrounding it. They’ll vanish soon unless change comes. PS - you don’t need my receipt or details of order, I’ve had it 3 times recently as have friends and it’s bad each time. The biggest issue is the tiny tiny portion of meat, then the sogginess.

Hi Everyone, not sure how many of you have faced the worst experience in GDK (Germany Donner Kebab) in the town centre Peterborough,this is 2nd time. I am going there after a very very long time since I had a bad experience with the staff there the last time and this time I completely forgot and walk in placed a order for OG mix (chicken and beef) there was a lot of beef and 2 tiny pieces of chicken and got up to inform the lady at the till and she said no I don’t think, we weigh all the meat, I said see my plate there is nothing and she refused to listen and kept talking to staff and kept saying may be you have eaten it up, I told her if I have eaten it why will I tell you about this and told here you are not very good customer friendly person, then she ask for some chicken and said here take and go like as if she was giving it to a dog and give it for free of cost, I refused it and said keep it yourself. I was only trying to tell you, she said I don’t need your feedback, please don’t come again we don’t need customers only you, I was shocked for someone to be like this at the till and don’t have any customer support. I petty the poor owner who has hired her for this and this is the second with this place and ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY FEEL THEY ARE GIVING EVERYTHING FOR CHARITY

We’ve eaten in gdk a few times , 1st time in ordering/ delivery. It was very tasteless and missing items . Was not worth it

I came here with hubby for the first time last week. My husband says it always seemed busy, I asked what's so special about a German Kebab - non of us could answer so we decided to give it a go. It was clean and calm, we were greeted by Hanu at the till who was very nice, gave us time to look at the menu and decide. We ended up getting 2 box meals. We went to pay and learned they had a deal on so instead of paying nearly £16 it came to £12. Nice surprise. We waited for our food to be prepared for takeaway, we probably waited no longer than 10 mins for it to be ready. It looked good until I opened the box, I had the mixed meats with salad and fries. The fries tasted like frozen chips that had been almost cooked so were hard to eat, there was a fair amount of salad and hardly any meat. The meat was very bland so if you decide to try them out I highly recommend investing in some sauces to eat it with (I'm not a huge fan of sauce especially when I'm trying somewhere new, I like to be able to taste the food as is). Would i go back again.. no, which is unfortunate because it has the potential to be a really good spot to enjoy. GDK.. • I recommend you train your staff to highlight offers of the day it can help a lot when trying to decide what and how you will order. The surprise was nice but had I known there was an offer, I may have ordered differently. • Have a look at how this branch is serving portions, if what I got was the standard then it's definitely not value for money even with the offer. • Take note that people actually do enjoy eating hot food, especially food that is expected to be hot. I'll end with a question to you GDK.. what is so special about a German Doner Kebab? I'm still non the wiser!

every time I order I receive the order only half as it should be in each order there is always about 200-300g of food missing Which should also be absolutely unacceptable

Being from Wisbech we have a lot of Kebab shops but nothing comes close to this! No grease and No spillage. The meat was cooked and cut to perfection. Don't care how much it costs 100% worth every penny! Definitely returning very soon!

Reasonably priced. Good good if warm I suppose.. However waited over an hour delivery. Called, a lady answered as per "driver just arrived" told her this was our THIRD ATTEMPT trying the restaurant and each time it's been cold! She assured me its warm, just made and driver here... (7mins away from restaurant) 15minutes later it arrives..STONE COLD. Everything cold. Kebab soggy from all the salad. Vile. Won't be attempting a fourth. Might be different in the restaurant, could be lucky! (although other reviews say different) but I will not be ordering again.

We ordered two boss boxes and an extra burger . The box meals without the sides came out first they were cold , when the waitress brought out the rest we questioned why it was cold waitress took kebabs back but we called her back as the rest was also cold we think the manager came over and took it all back. as we was walking to get a refund they brought half our food which was warm at best then the rest was brought by the waitress. She had a very bad attitude and was being rude to us saying "its hot now" in a very sarcastic voice. We wished we got a refund dissapointed wont be going back anytime soon£35.57 not well spent

Very cold so had to re heat in microwave. The portion of chips were very minimal for the cost.
