love your food but don’t get a lot of meat no more

Absolutely diabolical it’s so cold what’s the point I ain’t reheating it waste of money absolutely angry I get kebabs can get quiet cold after some time but mate Peterborough 15min anywhere why is my food cold??! Muggy

This place has gone down hill so much. The food is not what it used to be. I ordered a number of items and all were very poor qualitty. The kebab had all the sauces in it. They used to put them in pots. This would not be a problem but one of the sauces the person who was eating that item can not have. Another had little to no filling. After calling them the person on the other end said they put all the sauces in not in pots if you order on uber. well thats odd as the panini onlt had one sauce but has the same optrions on uber. Taste wise very poor I would not recomend GDK to anyone. There are much better takeouts to buy from in this city.

another time in Peterborough and another time very unhappy. I ate GDK in Milton and also Lakeside, everywhere the same meal has different taste, and unfortunately Peterborough is the worst. I always pay extra for extra meal and don't think it's greater then normal. on a picture that box looks full filled with meat and veg, however in real looks like half box despite it's double portion of meat. I need to find another place for kebab here. only 3 stars.

I didn't order spicy kebab but it was, a lot!!!! food didn't was signed which one is it so we was struggling also. accept that it was good.

The food just arrived and cold, delivered on time stated,however, chips and the hash brown sides were cold, the wrong items were in the incorrect box, so spend a minute or so swapping items over. The cheese sauce never arrived.

Big thumbs up for the tall lady that takes the orders at the till. Every time when I eat here she shows amazing hygiene, wears gloves all the time and makes sure that she respects the health standards and customer service. I have problems with the chefs that are preparing the food because of hair and nails reasons, but I won't destroy this lady's review for them. She is a keeper!

The quality has fallen tragically before there were normal portions now there is minimalism and without half of what you pay for. I will definitely never order again

Late and cold, but everything else ok/good

Extremely rude staff if I could I would give 0 stars but unfortunately one star is minimal, if you ask them for a napkin they throw it at you in disgust as if you asked them for free food, I can't figure out why they still work there if they don't feel like customers, incredibly rude and insensitive people!!

I went to order and I asked the lady from the till if I should collect the food and she was like “I will bring it to you” she didn’t give me a receipt or anything,I started eating and as soon as I found the bone in my wrap I went to her and I asked “what is this?” She touched the bone and she said “ooh,a bone” and she was so relaxed and said “what? It’s very small” I didn’t say anything and I wrote the review on Google and she came up to me and said “you wrote the review on Google and you should delete it,the bone was smal not big,and why did you started eating it?” And I was so shocked that she was more worried about the review than the customers safety I told her that I ate until I found the bone as I found the bone I have the food to her,and she was so rude and she told me that next time she will not sell to me. I mean what if I would’ve choked on that bone? So rude and so disrespectful how do people like that get hired?

I am not happy with the delivery of my order because the lady who was supposed to deliver to number 82 which is on the second floor called me quite unpleasantly and informed me that if I do not go downstairs to get the food she will return it to the restaurant because there is a small dog running around in the parking lot without a leash where I do not see any connection between this and the delivery of my food. I picked up the food and it is delicious as always

It's not the first time qe order, but the portion was too small. It was half the boxes, we not gona order from there anymore. They lost me as a customer..

Unsure what went wrong with this brand. Decent when it first came along now it’s a soggy mess of bland salad, a tiny amount of fatty chewy chicken and a stale bread thing surrounding it. They’ll vanish soon unless change comes. PS - you don’t need my receipt or details of order, I’ve had it 3 times recently as have friends and it’s bad each time. The biggest issue is the tiny tiny portion of meat, then the sogginess.

Hi Everyone, not sure how many of you have faced the worst experience in GDK (Germany Donner Kebab) in the town centre Peterborough,this is 2nd time. I am going there after a very very long time since I had a bad experience with the staff there the last time and this time I completely forgot and walk in placed a order for OG mix (chicken and beef) there was a lot of beef and 2 tiny pieces of chicken and got up to inform the lady at the till and she said no I don’t think, we weigh all the meat, I said see my plate there is nothing and she refused to listen and kept talking to staff and kept saying may be you have eaten it up, I told her if I have eaten it why will I tell you about this and told here you are not very good customer friendly person, then she ask for some chicken and said here take and go like as if she was giving it to a dog and give it for free of cost, I refused it and said keep it yourself. I was only trying to tell you, she said I don’t need your feedback, please don’t come again we don’t need customers only you, I was shocked for someone to be like this at the till and don’t have any customer support. I petty the poor owner who has hired her for this and this is the second with this place and ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY FEEL THEY ARE GIVING EVERYTHING FOR CHARITY

Chips were cold and we’re supposed to be cheesy but only some were covered in sauce

Sadly disappointed. 2nd time our order has come mildly warm. When u spend £32 & pay £3 tip u kinda hope it would at least be hot or mildly hot. Shame as such lovely tasting food.

The food came stone cold and to pay over £15 and then wait for your food to come to just microwave it is awful , cheaper to deliver a microwave meal tbh , the food didn’t even come in a heated back the guy got it off his passenger seat , but to be allowed to leave the store like this is bad

every time I order I receive the order only half as it should be in each order there is always about 200-300g of food missing Which should also be absolutely unacceptable

I came here with hubby for the first time last week. My husband says it always seemed busy, I asked what's so special about a German Kebab - non of us could answer so we decided to give it a go. It was clean and calm, we were greeted by Hanu at the till who was very nice, gave us time to look at the menu and decide. We ended up getting 2 box meals. We went to pay and learned they had a deal on so instead of paying nearly £16 it came to £12. Nice surprise. We waited for our food to be prepared for takeaway, we probably waited no longer than 10 mins for it to be ready. It looked good until I opened the box, I had the mixed meats with salad and fries. The fries tasted like frozen chips that had been almost cooked so were hard to eat, there was a fair amount of salad and hardly any meat. The meat was very bland so if you decide to try them out I highly recommend investing in some sauces to eat it with (I'm not a huge fan of sauce especially when I'm trying somewhere new, I like to be able to taste the food as is). Would i go back again.. no, which is unfortunate because it has the potential to be a really good spot to enjoy. GDK.. • I recommend you train your staff to highlight offers of the day it can help a lot when trying to decide what and how you will order. The surprise was nice but had I known there was an offer, I may have ordered differently. • Have a look at how this branch is serving portions, if what I got was the standard then it's definitely not value for money even with the offer. • Take note that people actually do enjoy eating hot food, especially food that is expected to be hot. I'll end with a question to you GDK.. what is so special about a German Doner Kebab? I'm still non the wiser!

SO GOOD! Tanu was really helpful and the food was fresh, flavourful, and so so so good. 10/10 recommend

Being from Wisbech we have a lot of Kebab shops but nothing comes close to this! No grease and No spillage. The meat was cooked and cut to perfection. Don't care how much it costs 100% worth every penny! Definitely returning very soon!

I payed extra to get cheese on my dinner box and there was barely any, for the price we are paying I expect them to be a lot more generous - unenjoyable, disappointing

Reasonably priced. Good good if warm I suppose.. However waited over an hour delivery. Called, a lady answered as per "driver just arrived" told her this was our THIRD ATTEMPT trying the restaurant and each time it's been cold! She assured me its warm, just made and driver here... (7mins away from restaurant) 15minutes later it arrives..STONE COLD. Everything cold. Kebab soggy from all the salad. Vile. Won't be attempting a fourth. Might be different in the restaurant, could be lucky! (although other reviews say different) but I will not be ordering again.

Today i after order my food a lady that work there came to me to complain because i was in a phonecall she says i was disturbing her job and she couldn’t concentrate, I wasn’t even speaking laud in the place. But next time I go there I’ll complain directly to the manager

We ordered two boss boxes and an extra burger . The box meals without the sides came out first they were cold , when the waitress brought out the rest we questioned why it was cold waitress took kebabs back but we called her back as the rest was also cold we think the manager came over and took it all back. as we was walking to get a refund they brought half our food which was warm at best then the rest was brought by the waitress. She had a very bad attitude and was being rude to us saying "its hot now" in a very sarcastic voice. We wished we got a refund dissapointed wont be going back anytime soon£35.57 not well spent

I been to gdk yesterday night I couldn't stop myself to leave the feedback its really amazing food 👌👌Staff is really friendly and helpful. The food was really very 🤤 tasty and big portion .i will be definitely go back there for next time . Thank u so much to made my Saturday

My Kebab arrived cold and had no meet in it at all! not even a little bit! Poor!!!

What we got was delicious, however 2 of our 3 ordered items were missing. We didn’t receive our chips or chilli cheese bites, only the box meal. Unfortunate because I had heard such rave reviews

Very cold so had to re heat in microwave. The portion of chips were very minimal for the cost.

The place looks modern and the food is really good. The beef spring rolls, with the chilly sauce? Damn. The staff are cool and friendly. Overall experience 10/10

My first time at GDK......just wow! Food was amazing, best kebab, chips, and salad with dips and chilli bites Ive ever had! Staff were great, very welcoming! And got some offers for next time. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go again!!!!! Thank you........even finished the rest of at 4am this morning hahahaha. Mwah!

Gone down the drain, was my favourite place to eat but not any more. Rather have McDonald's, food quality is just rubbish to say the least.

Why do you actually think it's acceptable to accept orders from 3rd party platforms when you're clearly closed? The driver cannot pick up and you do not answer the phone (rerouted to the ubereats team). And I bet you don't have to pay uber the full amount you charged me for my order in 'cancellation fees' to them - disgusting.

Ordered extra beef and cheese and there was barely anything in there got pictures ready to send with a video!! Ridiculous!!

Ordered delivery quesadilla with extra beef and cheese. Got a pancake rolled with barely anything in there a slice of beef sprinkled with F you type of cheese. Also got unusually small amount of fries but that we can put aside… Spent £15 on this thank you! ;)

Excellent value . Very tasty fare. Quick efficient service.My new favourite go-to fast food outlet. I can not eat regular donar kebab meat. It gets stuck in my chest, but GDK meat is very thinly sliced and I never suffer indigestion after eating it.

Very unwelcoming staff with an attitude, the woman, short with black hair (didn’t get her name) wouldn’t apply my student discount saying they don’t accept it on the Doner kebabs when I’ve always been given the discount in other GDK places? Was evil staring at me as if I asked her to give it to me for free. Hire better staff.

My first visit at lunchtime to German Kebab, absolutely lovely, didn't have to wait long, and was lovely personal service for food to be bought to our table, I will definitely visit again, and would highly recommend anyone else to, also price was very reasonable.

Place was clean, the female staff were only ok. The food was lovely! The machine to order the food glitches and charged me twice, didn't notice until I went home. Had to go back and get a £100 refund. The man that delt with it was very helpful and friendly
