I do not understand how it can earn high ratings. We paid about £20 for each ramen dish to take away which was like salty water with some school meal pork added. The waitress served us with a frosty face and kept us waiting when we collected so she could pour water in a teapot.

Popped in for lunch - i got the number 1 which was traditional Pork ramen with a creamy ramen broth. My friend got 3, which he really enjoyed. It was £16 before any additions, so could easy be a £20 dish if you added other toppings or meat. It did come with two slices of pork and was very filling! The broth was very nice. The food came out fast, but was hard to get attention from anyone working as you can order and pay through a QR code (but this didn’t work so we needed service) so we did struggle to leave once finished. Would go again if really fancied ramen and was in the area!

Food was nice but expensive for what you get and I swear it's gone up since I was last there. However service was attentive and warm so no complaints there. I think price would be my biggest deterrent from returning though.

Nice food & service, although they didn’t have the pork belly dish which is a shame as looked good and we wasn’t told until we actually ordered, another shame is they are cashless which we didn’t realise and in the end told them that it’s cash or nothing and they managed to sort, I don’t appreciate being told I can’t spend my hard earned cash, it’s legal tender end of and wouldn’t return because of that, but all in all nice experience

Diego was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. His positive attitude and high level of ethics made my experience truly enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. Thank you for the excellent service!

No recibimos ningún tipo de acuse de recibo (mucho menos una disculpa) de ninguno de los miembros del personal, incluyendo el servidor (una joven) que salió por la puerta para comprobar si los clientes cenaban fuera. Sólo nos reconocieron cuando la señora que tenía delante llamó su atención. LA COMIDA: Tengo un ramen vegetal que fue decepcionante. El caldo era soso, las porciones pequeñas, y la presentación parecía apresurada. SERVICIO: Una vez que terminé, el mismo servidor se me acercó para preguntarme si había terminado y si ella podía conseguirme la factura. Parecía que tenían prisa por deshacerse de los clientes. EL CARGO POR SERVICIO: La propina es discrecional, pero no lo sabrás hasta que lo pidas. En ninguna parte de la factura lo dice, por lo que parece que debe pagar por dicha cantidad. No recuerdo haber visto que un cargo por servicio discrecional se agrega automáticamente a su factura. POR FAVOR, NO ENGAÑE A SUS CLIENTES ASÍ.

Really great food, service with a smile and a friendly chat, and absolute wall to wall bangers (Les Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Blondie to name a few) We'll be back for sure! The ramen is excellent

We got a tip from a friend to go here and we weren't disappointed. We had the Spicy chicken curry and a ramen dish and it was really good. The service was great as well: the friendly lady notified us about the busy kitchen and therefore our meals could take a while. We enjoyed our meal here and would definitely go back another time.

Very nice place with pretty much instant serving of a ramen. Highly recommended place and for a good reason.

Amazing atmosphere, delicious food !

My partner and I enjoyed our dinner here at Ippudo Goodge Street. The place was relatively quiet and it wasn't crowded. For our main course we ordered two classic Shiromaru ramen bowls. That was undeniably the richest broth we've ever had - 5/5. The only thing we felt disappointed about is that it barely comes with two slices of thinly sliced pork was much below our expectations for the price we paid. However, in terms of the taste it was outstanding and highly recommended. Additionally, we ordered three mochis and one matcha cake for dessert. Didn't regret. All were really tasty, particularly the mango mochi and matcha cake - for our taste.

This place is fantastic. The best ramen I've had outside of Japan. Go, go now!

Celebrating our friends Birthday, we had lovely ramen, and several starters including buns an by and gyozas. All food was delicious. Bill was over £250. That said, we were shocked by how rude the staff was. I asked to go to the toilet whilst waiting for the table and approached the lady at the bar who told me to wait without looking at me or even knowing what I needed. I insisted on where the location was as I only needed directions and her answer was that I couldn’t use the premises as they were for clients only, without even checking first with me. They were annoyed by anything we asked extra, as if that wasn’t making money for them. The cherry on top of the cake was when one of their staff did shush, and get off my way signs with their hand. Shame of the poor service having such a tasty food.

Decent ramen in central London. The broth was very rich and flavoursome but lacked any sort of spice (even the spicy one). I also felt the price was quite high given the very small amount of meat that you get. Staff were nice and helpful.

We had our first Ippudo experience in New York a few years ago and it was amazing. Nostalgia pulled us to the London branch today and the experience did not disappoint! We started off with a veggie croquette hirata bun which was soft on the outside and crunchy on the inside and also sipped on some yummy lemon soda. We then followed up with veggie ramen which was delicious and filling. You can get extra mushrooms/spring onions to top it up but the dish itself has plenty of the good stuff. We like all our nasal and throat passages to be cleared after having good spicy ramen and this one did the job perfectly. The ambience is great and you can get a table for a Saturday afternoon quite easily without pre-booking. Overall 10/10 experience at Ippudo once again!

Looking for a quick stop for ramen with savory broth? This is the spot! They have different flavors and toppings. They also allow you to choose the firmness of your noodles. They suggest firm. They also have other dishes for those who don't like soup, and a lot of drinks options! I really liked the chicken, shrimp bao, and the peach oolong tea cocktail.

Really friendly service with good food.

We arrived relatively late and were still accepted! There were no more seats for four available, but the waitress asked other people if they could move. The food came and it was delicious. The ramen is really recommended, especially the extra portion of meat. The curry was also particularly tasty. The service was of course very friendly, typically Japanese.

Loved this place!! Ramen was amazing, you can def taste the noodles are handmade and you can choose the firmness. The broth is delicious, and also is the tender pork. If you like matcha, the matcha brownie tastes a lot like matcha, which I love. Service was great, one of the waitresses was super friendly chatting with us about Japanese bands we like. One of my favorite ramen from London!! Will come back for sure.

Waitress lady is absolutely disgraceful. Asking to have mochi first before meal, she just simply laughing about this??? Excuse me??? While serving this rock hard mochi ice cream, we kindly asking if it is possible to defrost then she says it will be ready in 5 min NATURALLY….. Very funny. I have been to so many Japanese restaurant and never seen a mochi that hard in my entire life. Simply, staff just being lazy.

Brilliant ramen, closest to original outside of Japan!

Excellent ramen and the Ajitsuke Tamago is perfect!! Lovely service and a great "busy" vibe.

It's been ages since I had proper Japanese ramen. I've mostly had those localized versions, so I was craving the authentic stuff. Today, I went for a bowl from Ippudo – got the Shiromaru with extra chashu and some fried chicken on the side. The karaage/fried chicken was totally Japanese style – super juicy inside. The chashu was sliced thin and melted in my mouth, and the tamago/seasoned egg was spot on. Totally hit the spot!

Great ramen and nice atmosphere, but the noodles portion is abit less compared to other branches under the same chain.

Was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food was. While prices can occasionally veer on the expensive side of things, everything is presented to an outstanding standard. Service is quick and efficient with courteous wait-staff. If you are thinking of coming here, try to turn up as soon as service starts as queues tend to form very quickly (and for good reason) despite there being quite a number of tables inside. The ramen bowls and gyozas were incredibly delicious, however, if you are craving a spicy option, do be aware that it can get quite difficult to handle especially if your spice tolerance levels are average. That being said, it is hard not to get addicted to their food.

Amazing ramen, but kinda small restaurant

Been looking forward to checking out this chain as, like Bone Daddies, has been expanding over the capital. This branch was very busy and is walk in only with no bookings. Seating is very compact just so you are aware. Edamame were reasonably good and served with a lot of flaky sea salt. Chicken karage had some good crispness and solid coating. Chicken wings were bbq but these were a little disappointing flavour wise. I had the spicy ramen and extra pork. The pork was exceptionally good and melty. Broth was very good but not superb. Drinks were priced pretty well also. Service was good among the business. Well worth a visit if you like ramen.

Favourite ramen spot in London, the service is super welcoming and the food is incredible. Although there’s not much seating it’s perfect for a date or to catch up with a friend.

I've been here 3 times now - the ramen bowls are really, really good. The service is always very kind and helpful; especially when we were waiting outside, there were chairs to sit, they turned on the outside heaters for us and put out the overhead cover.

The ONLY ramen I actively seek out. I will cycle 6 miles just to enjoy the ramen here. By far the best in London. Fantastic atmosphere also, I love the way they greet you at the St Giles Sq outlet but this one is calm and relaxing

I visited for lunch at 1:30 pm with three friends. We waited about 10 minutes in the heated outdoor seating before being seated at a corner table near the kitchen. The server was polite and provided excellent service. I opted for the Karaka-men ramen with firm noodles, which had a fantastic taste, although it wasn't as spicy as I expected. The pork was delightful, and despite the broth lacking spice, it had a flavorful profile that I enjoyed. Overall, the food deserves a solid four out of five. The restroom, albeit small for my size, was clean. Considering the food, price, service, and ambiance, it's easily a 5/5 experience. I look forward to returning and trying something new next time.

Love this authentic spot! - amazingly delicious food ( 🥵but don’t take spicy ramen if you have never eaten it before! Can be too much ) - they have a regular attentive - they have good snack deals till 15:00 - very quick serving - you cannot book so just stop by - lots of menu options

Big fan of Ippudo here. Their food is always comfort food to me. Their vegetarian spicy ramen is banging and it goes so well with a Asahi beer. Service is friendly and always quick.

This two star is for food itself. I had an Aakamaru noodle and it was 14£, there were only 2 thin pieces of pork Char Sui. I just don’t understand :)

On peut y manger sans faire de réservations malgré que l'endroit est petit. Nous sommes exprès allées à ce restaurant-là pour goûter le plat "Hakata Nikuton" (qui n'était servi que dans cette filiale ou celle de Villiers Street). Sauf que mauvaise surprise, on nous annonce qu'il ne le propose plus. Bizarre qu'il ne soit pas barré sur les menus distribués, ni même dit au moment de la distribution des cartes... Par dépit, nous nous sommes alors tournés vers le "Karaage Curry" et le "Akamaru Tamago". Déception totale ! Très peu de karaage, curry très pauvre en légumes, sauce curry très grasse, riz à peine potable... Reçu des moitiés de tranches de viande très fines, alors qu'en novembre 2022, à la filiale St Giles, c'étaient des entières ! Ramens très fines. Bouillon fade. Une seule serveuse qui travaille, fait la commis et la vaisselle tandis que l'autre fait les cocktails... Reste malgré tout bien accueillante. Mais attente très longue pour les plats...

It's recognizably ramen, but refined and intentional and exquisitely executed at the same time. It was a long awaited experience and you will not be disappointed.

Love Ippudo in Tokyo and also loved the one in central, but unfortunately the Goodge Street had a smaller menu than Central and the service was not as attentive with drinks arriving after food for example. Overall it was fine, just would prefer Central.

The soup and noodles are of high quality. Didn’t feel any MSG used. The pork is particularly soft which is the best I tried even better than in Japan.

Delicious dinner at Ippudo, which mirrors the quality of the NYC location. It's a tiny place (not air conditioned, from what we could tell). Highly recommend the Shiromaru Classic. We ate every bite.

Convenient location and good as usual. My recent takeaway experience from Ippudo Goodge Street was outstanding. The packaging was meticulously done, ensuring no spills or mess, which is particularly commendable considering the challenge of transporting ramen. The taste of the food was as remarkable as dining in, making the takeaway experience just as satisfying. If you're looking for a great takeaway ramen option, Ippudo Goodge Street is highly recommended.

Lovely staff, easily accessible location and some lovely Ramen. Bring your appetite. I had the spicy meat ramen but as I walked out I saw somebody order a dry Ramen - I'd like to try that next time. Don't forget to order your pint of Asahi !

I’ve been wanting to visit Ippudo again after my first visit (their Canary Wharf branch) a few months ago and I’m happy to say that the food at the Goodge St branch was just as tasty. The service was just as fast, too. This branch felt a little smaller/tighter, but we went early in the evening before it got too busy so thankfully it didn’t end up feeling too claustrophobic. I had the Akamaru ramen again (soooo good!) but this time got to try their crispy chicken gyoza and edamame with salt - both, top notch. I’m definitely an Ippudo fan!

If you are craving Ramen Ippudo is the place to be. The menu is small and leads to less confusion. We had the karaka-men and veggie ramen which were to die for. We also had the hot sake along with the food. Definitely coming back for more!

One of my favourite places for ramen! I find that in a lot of places the vegetarian dishes get sidelined but I would highly recommend the vegetarian ramen. All the dishes are packed with flavour and you can choose how firm or soft you want your noodles. I also like how you can order an extra portion of noodles as you’re eating!

For the small place they have there, the restaurant is nice managed, the ambiance is very pleasant, the service is nice too and the food tastes great! I definitely recommend it!

Found it by accident while at lunch break. I am glad I did, one of the best ramens I have had in quite a while. I got the Akamaru Ramen. Highly recommend!

We remembered Ippudu from a visit in February 2022 and decided to return during our visit to London in March 2023. For a second time we thoroughtly enjoyed our ramen noodle soup. There were a number of Japanese people in the restaurant which we thought was a good sign. We were automatically given a bottle of tap water which was replenished when needed. Service was quick and efficient. Ippudu may be an international fast food chain but I can't think of a better one. Highly recommended.
