Interludee in Lewisham

On the 26.09.21 i was inside the club for little over a hour and asked for permission to leave which was authorised by one of the security team as I came back another security worker who was black and short in height with a low fade haircut approached my friend from behind around the neck area, and manhandled her and dragged her cup out of her hand with no verbal communication, that something was wrong I was absolutely shocked. I have never seen such a horrid action take place in such a way. I was speechless initially he then turned his attention to me shouting I’m no longer getting inside the club and as I tried to understand why and under what grounds he continued to go back and forth with no explanation as to why however bragging about his “£50k salary” and that I should put “£50k food on the the table for his kids” The verbal abuse and embarrassment was completely uncalled for and out of order. So unprofessional and disgusting behaviour. I don’t usually write reviews however I just want to give the heads up for the next female target he may choose at the Interludee Cocktail Bar.

Me and my friend were there for less than an hour before this short black male security kicked us out for a policy we didn’t know - leaving and coming back with a drink. As O went to drink it he came from behind me unannounced and put his hands around my neck to grab my drink and I assumed it was a random guy so I go to move. He then moves to the side of me still dragging my cup as I’m trying to take it from him as I am very confused at what is going on. My friend is on the other side of the barrier confused also as he then grabs it from me dashes it on the ground and says “thank you you won’t be needing that”. I was stunned as to why and who he was. He didn’t introduce himself nor say what the problem was. Especially being a female it doesn’t sit right how he manhandled me if it was a guy he wouldn’t dare do the same! He then switched and went back and forth as we’re trying to understand with my friend ‘bragging’ he earns 50k and ‘who puts food on his kids table’ which we didn’t ask for we just wanted to know why we couldn’t go back in when his colleague said we could. We approached nicely trying to find out and he tried to talk down on us because his other staff member under minded him for letting us leave and come back. He tried to embarrass my friend and I felt embarrassed when he threw my drink on the ground and uncomfortable as he invaded my personal space as staff!

Security on the night was very rude and unfriendly made us feel uncomfortable and not welcomed. A short brown male was the main culprit had a horrible attitude and just overall not a nice person. Would never come to this venue again based on that encounter ☹️

My family and I had a lovely time on Wicked Wednesday and we were well looked after by Terri and James - have a good one - we’ll be back soon for sure!

I had the most amazing time the staff are friendly and very attentive,the food was amazing very flavourful and the atmosphere was pleasant. Definitely will be revisiting!

I visited this bar with some friends after a recommendation and I was very impressed. The atmosphere was great and the service from the staff was exceptional and catered to our every need. The food and the cocktails were so tasty with great presentation. The music and the DJs also exceeded my expectations and had everyone in the bar on their feet.

I went to Interludee for dinner/catch up with a good friend. We were both gobsmacked by how good the food was. I had the jerk lamb and halloumi burger and my tastebuds were literally dancing. The plantain bites were delicious and the mac and cheese was top tier. I was so full by the end and so so satisfied. We arranged our next visit before we left the restaurant!

Visited with a few members of family. Thorougly enjoyed the food, cocktails and the vibes and music. Efforts made by staff to follow covid protocol and expect once those restrictions are lifted they'll have people lining up to get a piece of the pie!! Support good quality local business!!

Was served by our amazing waitress Chelsea, had such a great time, perfect atmosphere, great service, strong drinks, Jahbari even helped us with our shisha, would definitely come back with friends

Celebrated my birthday and the staff made it so special for me even tho we couldn’t dance because of the covid restrictions a great night was had by all.

Average service, great food. Unorganised and average service,however the food carries this place. I will definitely be returning not to mention recommending but as I said purely down to the food, delicious.

The food was lush and filling! The staff are friendly. We all had a fabulous time with good vibes xx

When before lockdown and whe I tell we are going back .. lovely staff ' lovely food ' lovely hidden gem in south ldn ..

Not only is the food absolutely sensational, such nice flavours, but the vibe in the venue is a great place to socialise with friends and even have a dance afterwards.
