We stayed for 1 night and enjoyed it very much. Nice, clean rooms and dinner was delicious, too!

I have stayed on numerous times over the last 7 years and found everything as i expected.

Clean comfy room. Welcoming friendly staff. Great breakfast menu. Good evening menu. Only criticism was the banging of doors by other guests during our stay perhaps a sign needs to be added asking guests to be aware of others

Very good, rooms quite large, could do with a couple of easy chairs or 2 seater settee.

Quiet location. Outside area requires attention. Only one room key was available...which caused us some inconvenience. Food was good but portion of macoroni cheese was rather small for the price! Friendly service. Towels were not changed in three days .

Large pub, with an excellent beer garden. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Our stay at The Foxglove was wonderful. It's in a beautiful location with plenty of parking! All the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. They all went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best. Our room was lovely and very clean and located in a building separate from the pub, so it was nice and quiet. We ate breakfast and dinner in the pub. The food was great - especially the Sunday roast! I can't wait to come back!

We had a lovely stay here with friendly staff, clean bedrooms and lovely selection of meals in the evening. Breakfast was okay though they seemed to have stopped doing cereals but you can have toast and selections of jam or marmalade and plenty of coffee/tea/orange and apple juice available. They do a full and a half cooked breakfast - both very filling! Only issue we found was the free WiFi (02) seemed to keep dropping in and out during our stay so not sure if this was something that could be looked into.

Foxglove Kirkburton we booked our sons 18th there for 12, we were given a lovely private room in the back, (great venue) the service was great from the guys and the food was nice as well all meals came hot and well prepared. we had a great time and will be back.

On arrival the staff were really helpful. The booking in was very quick and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable and both the evening meal and breakfast were high quality. Prices were reasonable and we were able to take advantage of joining the Vintage Inns Club for a good reduction on the meals.

Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our room was lovely and clean. Great facilities. We ate in the pub the day we arrived, food was great.

After a mistake where my room had not been booked for me (my fault) your staff helped me out very well finding me a room that was otherwise out of service due to a small leak in the window frame. Very much appreciated effort and the room was immaculate with the leak no noticeable or impacting my stay.

Perfectly posotioned for our needs this charming inn was a delight. The food choice great and the staff friendly and incredibly accommodating. Couldn't fault it. Would definitely stay again. We were in the family room

The staff at the Foxglove were what made it such a great stay, everyone was so friendly helpful and just genuinely lovely people. The food was great and the room was lovely.

The room was nice and large, clean and tidy, plenty of tea and coffee. Sadly the room was directly under the ventilation system so got quite noisy in the evening. Breakfast on the second day was chaotic 40 minutes to take our order, and it wasn’t busy, ran out of produce, breakfast when it arrived wasn’t very hot. Bed very soft but that’s down to personal taste.

Exceptional staff, I think the meet and great could off been the manager, very professional but the star of the show was our waitress Emily. Knowledgeable, attentive and warming. A credit to your company, well done 👏

Lovely room, well appointed and peaceful. Staff were excellent, enjoyed dinner and breakfasts.

The hotel stay was fine, however we had a private room booked for my father's 86th birthday at 6pm for dinner. I was told when booking that there was another party booked for 3pm but they will be out by 6pm. On arrival I checked the time we would have access to the room and again, it was confirmed for 6pm. When 6pm arrived we were told the previous party had run over so we would have to sit in the main restaurant area. I also found out that it was indeed the manager who had the previous booking and clearly decided his family's birthday party for a 1 year old was more important than my father's 86th. We were all deeply disappointed as members of our family had travelled over 3 hours to join us and take part in the celebrations only for it to turn out to be a standard meal in a restaurant instead of a private function. If we knew the private room was not available we would of booked elsewhere. Four bedrooms were booked for this occasion due to distances travelled which has left a very bitter taste in our mouths. We got the impression that paying hotel guests certainly did not take priority over a member of staffs, 1 year old party, even though they had already had the room for over 3 hours! Very disappointing...

I have stayed at the hotel for a few years, it's great and safe for a lone traveller. I am disappointed with the breakfast menu. No cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc, what happened there. I spend plenty of money inviting people to join me for dinner, yet I get an uninviting menu for breakfast. Disappointed.

Hospitality first class, no complaints felt like home. The staff were very polite and friendly nothing was a problem. Hotel accommodation was very clean and well maintained. Visit was for business and will be re-booking when in the area soon.

Room staff food all exc thoroughly enjoyable stay

Room was lovely, clean, and the bed was comfy too, pub itself was lovely, great food and service in the restaurant.

They roow was nicely decorated and clean, bed was extremely comfortable, the staff in the bar were really friendly and the big open fire was so lovely to it in front of in the morning and have a coffee while I waited for a taxi I have the vegan full English option was nice but would be great with some vegan sausages instead of the beetroot hash as you get hash browns as well

The management were great, when i arrived my booking had been cancelled due to an issue with the card i used and the manager was great and tried to get me the best rate possible and also added breakfast on for the inconvenience. The room was spotless and had everything i needed. The staff on the night time when i went for something to eat were very polite and helpful and the food was great. When i went for breakfast in the morning nothing was a problem and the lady behind the bar serving breakfast was great, friendly and polite and the food was great and filling. I will definitely be staying here again if I'm booked on another course at Kirklees.

We had a family room which was lovely and spacious. The staff really made the visit as they were all so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was great and we were spoilt for choice on the menu. We have a young baby so had to get back to the room before we got to dessert so they allowed us to take the dessert back to the room with us. Lovely place to stay.

Very clean, friendly staff, just maybe hot chocolate or herbal teas.

First night was fine, breakfast was beautiful. 2nd night we got no sleep people In and out all night running up and down the stairs all night .breakfast was in edible burnt sausage cold beans horrible fried eggs dry mushrooms. Extremely 😥

Lovely room , very impressed. My husband was taken ill on the first night , we were booked in for 2. The manager offered us a full refund for the 2nd night which we did not expect. Very impressed. Thankyou . We shall definitely be back .

The food the atmosphere the proximity of the hotel being that it’s an old pub was exceptional. The only thing I did not like was when we arrived to both rooms they smelt like sewage, it did dissipate after time, however you couldn’t open the window. The beds in both rooms were so hard I woke with a sore back the next day it was like lying on a hard plank all night. But apart from the mattress the stay was amazing it’s such a quaint little place and it had a great feel to it.

Very enjoyable stay. The manager on duty was very efficient and you could tell he worked well with his team. The staff were all lovely and made our stay very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it to others and would stay again. You have a great set of people working for you

Friendliness of the staff was very good. The room was small for 2 adults and 2 children, there was initially only 2 towels provided, and the room was a bit scruffy. The woodwork and walls could do with a freshen up
