A great independent cafe run by a lovely local woman. Tasty food, very reasonably priced. Spotlessly clean. Nice little outdoor seating area. Nothing is too much trouble, highly recommended.

The Indulgence team, provide a warm welcome. They can not, do enough for you. As soon as you enter, you are aware of how well they have used & decorated their space. Incidentally, a very clean space. The variety of cakes are to die for! They not only look stunning but are also, delicious. Some of these cakes can truly inspire, hats for ascot!! The food overall is well presented and enjoyable. The music, helps to create a relaxing atmosphere. Along with the friendly staff & customers. I was fortunate to engage, with some of the regulars. Indulgence, has a secret garden at the back. Here you can enjoy eating outside, while browsing the market stalls, that are in attendance on a regular basis. Displaying a variety of goodies, such as candles, bags, clothes, art work, skin products, crystals, plants and lots more. Apparently, the garden is going through a transformation, so watch this space!! Interestingly, the garden leads to a studio. Again, it is used for a variety of purposes, such as Yoga, Zumba, Ceramics ( which I thoroughly enjoyed). I have heard most recently, that a book signing will be taking place on the 7/9/24 , by an interesting author!!! I have also been informed, that the Xmas markets are definitely worth a visit and are well attended. In the spirit of the festive season, mulled wine and mince pies, are also available, to conclude the experience. I have taken friends to Indulgence and they too, have had a lovely experience. I do intend to visit regularly, as the Indulgence experience relaxes me quickly. It is now, my selfcare treat. Thank you very much.

Indulgence is a chilled place to be, the owner Farah is very welcoming and likes to keep her customers happy. I've observed regular customers and their genuine rapport with her, which was nice to see and made me feel comfortable also. Her mental capacity to remember what you like to order after the first visit is also welcoming and gives a family oriented vibe about the café! The cake selection gets me everytime! I'm always spoilt for choice, but everything I have eaten when visiting so far has been cooked well and delicious. I've also had the opportunity of vending at the Summer Market there and gained some new and loyal customers. Definitely a must visit!

This has been our regular weekend brunch spot for about 9 years. One of the warmest welcomes in the 'stow, with many regulars. I alternate between quiche with salad and their chunky club sandwiches. In summer the back garden is a lovely place to sit and enjoy their fruit smoothies. And they always have a great selection of cakes; I especially enjoy the odder ones like pistachio and rose petal sponge. While I'm a local it's position makes a great stopping off on a visit from Walthamstow Central to the William Morris gallery. They have customer WiFi.

I enjoyed a relaxing late morning breakfast here. Friendly counter service, then my order was delivered to my table a short while later. The toast that I ordered was so pretty, topped with a couple of poached eggs, and garnished with rocket. Great cup of coffee, an Americano with oat milk, my partner poached egg on sourdough was divine, An excellent back door space Seating indoors and outside, or get your order to go,and friendly staff made our experience even more enjoyable, really lovely shop owner thank you for great service and such nice place. A must visit for great food and welcoming atmosphere.

I was hugely displeased and upset with my experience here. Since this place opened i have visited many times, i am a local and come often and even order on Uber. My experience today was absolutely appalling. The staff were so rude to the point we were abused out of the shop, im sure you have cctv so please check. We arrived at 1:25 ordered by 1:30 by 2;05 our food was still not ready, i was told it would be another 10/15 mins. We were told at this point that they had a big order before us and we should understand. Firstly, it is a very basic thing to explain there will be a delay beforehand, secondly to be told its our fault as we are on a lunchbreak and we would usually wait is disgusting. No one should wait 45mins for brunch with no explanation and then to be told we would wait if we didn’t have to go to work. A simple apology for the delay would have sufficed. Now unfortunately this was not the end of it, half our order was now ready and at this point i said i do not want it as the remaining order was not ready and we needed to leave. I was told i have to have to, to which i said fine if there’s no choice i will take it even though my main meal wasn’t ready, the desert was. They then said they would refund the food, but we had to pay for the drinks which we drank (fine -we were happy to do this). However the drinks were £2.99 on the menu (50p) extra for syrup- total being £7, we then questioned why we were charged £14 for two iced lattes- we were told £7 is a non discretionary service charge. All i can say is wow , so i have paid the same cost of my drinks on service charge? Shocking. The service was horrendous. At this point i was absolutely appalled, to be penalised with this charge for a rubbish service. We left it at this point, however the staff members ‘friend’ intervened and abused us out of the shop saying ‘go on get out of here bye bye’-when i challenged her about her customer service she said she wasn’t a staff member however i saw her taking an order and sharing a phone with the other waitress, I assume she was a staff member. When i asked to speak to a manager i was told they are the managers. Is this how you treat regular customers? I’m actually so upset at how we were treated, we we’re actually shouted at and abused out of tue store. Me and my family live locally, i will never recommend this place again to anyone. All it would have taken was an apology for the delay and some good customer service to resolve this but instead we were verbally abused by this lady. My two small children left crying and upset, and hungry . My mother ended up returning to work with no food. What a horrible way to treat people.

My friend and I spent an hour on a Thursday afternoon to sit and chat. We both had a breakfast tea, which was served brewing in a glass jug. We then poured it into large tea glasses. This way of presenting a simple cup of tea was lovely and made it all a bit special. The lady running the cafe was really nice and we chatted to her before we left. There were some lovely looking cakes and there was a calm, friendly vibe which we appreciated and we will definitely come back another time. Lovely.

If you fancy a great homeade cake and tea or coffee, this if probably the best place to go in Walthamstow. I'm enjoying a takeaway slice of carrot cake with walnute right now!

This is a fun little place. There’s a place out the back that you can hire for events and the service is very good. It is a small but busy place so you may have to wait for a table if you get the timing wrong.

Indulgence is a quiet calm sunny tea shop along busy Hoe Street Walthamstow. My first visit this morning was such a good experience. From the brilliant staff to the perfect tea (in a huge percolator system I have never found before) surrounded by tasty eats - home made savories and cakes. I brought a spinach and feta pastry - I was going to take half home but it was so so so delicious. huge clear mug of red bush tea. I will be recommending to friends and family as a real find.

Whenever my dad comes to visit, he always wants to go this cafe. I went with him for the first time a few weeks ago, and really liked it myself. The staff are especially friendly and helpful - I was recommended a really nice herbal tea, which I would never have chosen without a recommendation. The teas are served in huge glasses - loose tea - with a strainer. We were given timers to allow our teas to brew for a specific period of time. I loved this detail. I didn't eat anything but the menu choices looked good - sandwiches, soups, quiches, salads. And there was a very tasty looking selection of cakes. My dad had quiche and salad - the portion did look a bit small, to be honest - and it didn't come with any dressing and was apparently a bit bland. I'd go here again, but probably just for tea. It was nice and quiet when we were there - you forget you're on Hoe street. And the garden out the back looked especially nice for sitting out on a nice sunny day.

I really want to love this place. It's simple, pretty and clean. The staff are friendly, chatty and the lovely lady owner couldn't be nicer. The salads, soup and sandwiches look great but I haven't tried them because the cakes look utterly mazing. However, I've had 3 lots of takeout cake (lemon and passion fruit, chocolate, white chocolate and strawberry) which really haven't lived up to their beautiful appearance. Generally dry and totally tasteless. I'll keep trying because I want Indulgence to be my favourite place.

I’d been meaning to visit for a while as a colleague had kindly brought me breakfast to work from The Valley Cafe a few times and it had been a real treat. I’m now kicking myself I didn’t visit sooner! A lovely atmosphere, delightful and swift service and a really delicious breakfast baguette and coffee. I highly recommend a sausage, egg & black pudding baguette (there is a choice of fillings) and the produce is excellent quality and value for money. There’s plenty of free parking, too. Looking forward to a lunch visit soon. Thank you to The Valley Cafe.
