Indian Ocean Takeaway in Coleraine

I just popped in this evenin cause me and my other half wanted donor meat and when we opened it. It didnt look anythin like donor meat and the oil that was in ran out o the tray it really was vile I'd reccomend that nobody goes near it

So many times I have got amazing food from this place But ... Either something is always missing that I pay extra for. Small things such as cheese, drink etc which is very frustrating and well a few times you can turn a blind eye but when its every time doesn't seem fair

Requested for 7:35 and was stood waiting till 7:55.

We requested for the delivery driver not to knock door as we had a baby sleeping but he knocked door.

The food was hot and delicious, big portions. Delivered on time, will be back soon to try more dishes!

The drink I ordered was not included even tho I had paid. Chips cold and soggy. Waste of money and time waiting

Food was over an hour late. Forgot poppadoms & food had to be reheated. Food wasn’t great tasting. Food has gone down hill lately. Used to be my favourite takeaway. Expensive takeaway when it’s just not up to standard.

Delivery far too late, chicken and garlic pizza was covered in donner meat, and base was as white as white as snow. I wish I could upload a picture. Avoid.

Really disappointing takeaway tonight! Ordered at 7.09pm and order arrived at 9.04pm. This is the second time this has happened in recent months but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After the two hour wait we opened the bag to find cold and soggy chips, half cooked bread and the worst takeaway we have ever had. We will not be ordering from here again from and would advise all others to do the same and go elsewhere!

Quick delivery however food is bland and lukewarm. Would not order again.

Desperately wanted an Indian and went against my better judgement. Chicken Tikka Masala was terrible. Chicken poor quality all same size cubes and water running out of the sauce. Furthermore, they break the law by charging 50 pence if you want to pay by card. I believe the name of the venue has just changed.

This is a joke been onto just eat for a refund but the restaurant still hasn't marked mh order complete. the burger was burnt to a crisp soggy chips no salad or sauce on burger anemic kebab meat and to top it all off an hour and 40 minute wait.

Went here for two chicken kebabs and firstly they gave me two chicken burgers and secondly when I did get them they had forgot half of the sale and the sauce. They were freezing and the chicken was most definitely the same chicken burger cut up all 4 pieces of it. Very disappointed in it it’s normally ok but tonight was a total disgrace

The Food arrived 20 minutes late when the waiting time was more than 1hr 30min long, chips soggy, Very watery mango chutney, they somehow managed to burn Pappodoms, clearly not freshly made Naan bread (looks ready made from the supermarkets), the curry sauce is very Oily, Raita traditionally should not contain Red onion!!. This is a disgrace to call this Indian Food. I am surprised by the reviews here which are very misleading. Very sacrilegious indeed!!

I am ever disappointed when I eat from the Indian Ocean Portstewart. Raffy and his staff are amazing and can’t do enough for their customers. Next time you are feeling like you want a takeaway please try them as their kebabs are awesome and their pizzas 🍕 way better than any I have tasted.

Horrible food, chicken was super dry, orders dont come as expected, the sauce may aswell be water as they had no taste and were super runny, pizza was cold when it came got random dips with the order that we never added, the food took over an hour to get here also. Not gonna order from here again better to get from any other kebab shop in the Triange area, at least food will be hot there

We ordered two medium pizzas between 5 of us, thinking the price at £18 would mean they were quite a substantial size, well if we lived in lilliput they would have been enormous; on earth they were small!!! Overpriced and inadequate pizza, won’t be ordering again.

Food I got was brilliant, delivery driver was cheerful. Unfortunately - the poppadoms I ordered weren’t there, however, this is the first and only time I’ve had an issue and the rest of the food was amazing.

Poor quality. Oily masala and chippy were soggy. Food was late. Nan bread tasted like it was cheap frozen nan bread.

First time eating from here and was very nice food. Delivery was earlier than expected. The delivery driver who drives the red peugeot was really dead on, phoned us to let us know he was on way, was very polite and good craic. Will defo be back

Ordered for asap & was given 1 hour time frame. Food came within 30 mins. Great delivery time. Fabulous food!! I have no complaints about this restaurant as they go above & beyond with your requests. I have made a few changes to my order but they always oblige. Plus the delivery driver (& owner) is very courteous. This is my favourite Indian restaurant within triangle area. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Food is always outstanding from here. Where you ask for delivery to be ASAP They give a delivery time & then they are always early!! I would rather them fine a later expected time & be early than be late. Owner/delivery driver is very courteous. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for my Indian food. Nan bread is fabulous.

Food took approximately 90 mins to arrive however was very well worth the wait. Fresh, tasty ingredients with quality pieces of chicken and lots of veg. Actually looking to order again for this evening, 👍🏼

My husband and I love the Indian Ocean Portstewart, we rarely eat anywhere else. The food is always hot and delicious, the delivery is fast and the owner and staff are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this takeaway, 5 stars.

Food was absolutely delicious. I love the vegetable kebab. No where else I have tried is as nice as here. I ordered a mixed kebab for my oldest son which was his first time eating from here and he said it was the tastiest kebab he has eaten in a long time. Food was warm. Delivered by a lovely gentleman.

It is 5.25am, I am currently lying on the sofa since 2am with my stomach going like a washing machine, feeling horrendous. All thanks to my lovely kebab from yours truely.Take note, I dont write bad reviews lightly, infact it takes a lot to push me to write a bad review. But this is by far the worst eating place I have ever eaten out of in my entire life.My son and I got a mixed kebab each, on chips (which we asked for well done), and both with house sauce. £15.80 for the 2....that is just the 2 kebabs, no drinks or anything like that. So at these high prices I had high hopes.Both of us were starving and very much looking forward to our feed. When we opened the box, on first impression it actually looked decent. Until you ate the first layer which was covered in sauce away. Below that.... maybe 2 or 3 strips of grey doner meat, lots and i mean lots of little tiny strips of unidentified meat, 2 bhajis (NEVER heard of bhajis on a mixed kebab), and a few red balls of coated meat which when i tasted thr first I spat out and didnt eat the rest as it felt similar to chewing a wet piece of rubber. All of this on top of slimey greasy skinny pale chips. Needless to say after the first layer was eaten the rest got put in the bin.Not before doing the damage and leaving me feeling sick all night. So Indian Ocean owners...if you are reading this Cheers for literally the worst dining out experience of my life!!!!!!General public ... stay away from this over priced grease pit.

Recently tried this restaurant and was so disappointed. The meat was tough and the sauce was flavourless.

Have ordered from here everytime we are in Portstewart. The food is beautifully cooked. I would highly recommend this shop. They also make pizza's and burgers. Can't wait until the next visit.

Worst Indian ever had ,,ordered chicken tikka ,nothing appealing in the sauce ,very very sweet ,cheap chicken used ( all same size and squares ) ,,very disappointed ,won't return or recommend and expensive ,and couldn't take cards ,which we heard from others happens regularly ,,cash only

Food was supposed to be delivered at 8.30pm, the restaurant added 10 minutes to this so it was supposed to be delivered at 8.40. Arrived at 9.05pm and it was cold and the food was not upto the quality that it has been previously. So disappointed. Food was ordered at 7.40 and took an hour and a half to make and deliver 2 kebab meals.

Only late because had to make curry from fresh! Worth it!

What can I say about. This place well the food was very good and the price was excellent for u get a good feed staff friendly and willing to help u out sit in or take out but I have to say the view u have of the sea I would sit in

This was ridiculous tonight, absolutely appalling. Food was far too late we should have got our money back. Food was freezing cold and hard as a brick. I rang three times too to see where they were and they waited until the third time to even leave the place!! And it only 10 minutes from my house. Absolutely unvelieveable for the guy to deliver it too and say 'oh don't worry I won't charge for mushrooms' never in my life seen such disrespect.

Having read the reviews I'm very surprised as I've eaten here on several occasions and the food has been great every time. Curry is delicious and I love the naan bread. Had a madras and garlic naan tonight and it was spot on.

Curries were well made but too hot. Pasanda supposed to be mild but was actually medium, and Biryani was fiery.

This was by far the worst Indian I have ever had . Chicken jalfrezi normally dark in colour, quite hot and spicy this was orange, mild full of oil and comes with a boiled egg ! The sagg was so oily I started off trying to drain it but it was just so greasy I couldn't eat it ! The naan bread was no better than the supermarket packets as as for the '""pilau rice """" it was just plain boiled ! This was £19.50 and when I got home I rang to complain and said I would be happy to bring it back as we couldn't eat it and he said that was fine and slammed the phone down ! This was just the worst Indian I have ever tasted and would recommend you avoid at all costs

We arrived into Portstewart with a taste for curry and this was the only available place to go!The lad behind the counter wearing Motörhead t-shirt and a flat cap picked up shredded salad from the counter with his hands ignoring the tongs. He then picked up portions of chicken with his hands before sticking his finger into his ear!I said to him you should use tongs~ he replied "Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't". The fact that he did it right in front of me proves it's a regular habit! The hygiene is questionable when staff pick up salad and meat with their hands in public view. I was going to ask for a refund but I knew my hubby was set on curry.The curry was lacking meat but tasted ok but the tandoori was sweaty and heated in a microwave I watched the woman do it in front of me! No salad, no sauce just raw onion heated up in the in plastic pot with sweaty meat. Dreadful quality and value. I would not eat here again. How can a takeaway get away with such poor food and hygiene?
