After hearing mixed reviews from some locals, we were bowled over by how nice the food was from here. Great flavours, good quality meat (we had lamb and chicken dishes), good portions, and decent price. Would definitely eat from here again.

The kebab was terrible. Was called the arran special kebab, what was special was there was no meat in it. Also did not have kebab sauce, really disappointing.

Stayed in lamlash beginning of April. We decided to try the Indian garden, which is now called the spice garden I believe. We had starters, prawn madras which was very hot & spicey which I like. My partner had the chefs special treat which is sweet with pineapple & spicey. Never tried this combination before & it was Absolutely delicious. Food is cooked fresh & the staff are very polite. Don't be put off by the building as it doesn't look much from the outside. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely takeaway. Service was brilliant. Food was cooked fresh. We got cutlery to take away so we can eat in the hotel. Very reasonable price. For 2 people, we spent £28. The Rezalah house special was so tasty!!!! Definitely recommend this place for anyone not wanting to dine out.

Meal was brilliant, very fresh curry could tell it was made from scratch and full of flavour. Chicken pakora is chicken tikka pakora and the sauce that comes with it is different from your usual pakora sauce but tasted really good. 10/10 for the naan bread. Asked for dishes a cutlery to eat back at the hotel and it wasn’t any hassle. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone 👍🏻

I feel some of the reviews for the Indian Garden are a bit unfair. We ordered Vege side dishes, they have a good range of Vege options. Food was good, a couple slightly salty but overall tasty. The Aloo Gobi and Chana Masala were standouts. The staff were really friendly and helpful

Mixed reviews so thought we would give it a try whilst on holiday as Indian is our favourite takeaway. Pros - lamb was tender, that’s it. Cons - bengal tikka and tikka masala sauces were tasteless, grainy and just unpleasant. Rice was poor and although the garlic naan bread was ok, It wasn’t really a 'garlic naan' Weren’t exactly welcomed when we came in to make our order, it was like we were an inconvenience and the guy serving couldn’t be arsed with us. Overpriced at £30 for 2 currys, 1 rice and 1 naan. The high quality Indian I normally use at home is around £25 for similar, which also includes free popadoms and chutneys. I don’t normally do reviews, but I thought I would for here because you would be better going to the local co-op and getting a ready meal, it would be cheaper and taste better.

However we were certainly not disappointed food was lovely, Nan bread perfect, coconut rice stunning and I loved my favourite Dansak with loads of chicken. Sauce wasn’t as thick as I like it but tasted great. Madras wasn’t as hot as we are used too but again nice. We’ll defo be trying again later in the week

Chanced a couple of fool-proof deep fried starters to test the water & see if it's as bad as some of the reviews suggest, and yes its every bit as awful. chicken pakoras and onion bhajis both a greasy flabby mess, with next to zero spices or flavour, bland sauce. Barely edible even when ravenous after a hike. Easily the worst pakoras i've ever had. The proprietors of this place need to have a word with themselves.

Absolutely no idea what the food is like. They weren’t answering the phone, so I couldn’t place an order. Drove to Lamlash to order it there, which put me in a very slow moving queue. Finally got to the front to put my order in, after the one guy who was run off his feet finally got to me, only to be told at point of sale that his card machine wasn’t working, so I couldn’t pay. Wasted about 40 minutes of my life I’ll never get back, ended up at the co-op for a microwave meal

The last night of our family holiday on Arran yesterday so we decided to try the Indian Garden. We too have read very mixed reviews but decided to chance it anyway. There were 5 different meals ordered and all were wonderful. I always choose the same meal when we have Indian food anywhere but the takeaways are usually a let down. The chicken tikka is often dry and solid as if it has been previously cooked and warmed up. Not very nice. The Indian Garden Tikka was fresh. A pure delight. We all recommend this takeaway and as we have a house on Arran now we will be ordering again. Thanks very much.

Poor...Poor...Poor! This is the only Indian Restaurant in the area, probably the whole island. Due To the lack of competition, this restaurant has let it’s standards drop...or disappear! Spiced onions were disgusting. Raw onions with a few spices sprinkled over, poppadoms were stale, and chewy, not fresh and crispy. The Chef’s Special dish “The Chefs Treat” was advertised as “a delight in every mouthful”. Ha! It was tasteless!! Tough chicken, tough lamb and the ONE single king prawn was over cooked and tough. I’ve been eating Indian food for 40+ years, and have several high quality restaurants to choose from at home, so I know what is good and what isn’t. I’ll never be back, even when I’m desperate for a curry.

I had read the mixed reviews but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Still decided to play it safe though. Chicken pakora, how can you mess that up. How wrong was I.. Freshly prepared in 1 minute !!!. I had barely sat down. Greasy batter and stringy chicken. The dip was a grainy watery indistinguishable tasting liquid. I could not believe you could get chicken pakora so wrong..I would highly recommend this place be avoided..

Unbelievably poor. Travelled 30 mins each way to get food. The initial welcome was so cold it should've made me turn round and leave. We ordered then waited 20 minutes. The order given to us we drove back 30 minutes to discover no spicy onions. Mango chutney that was basically mango juice. Raita we didnt order which was disgusting. Butterfly king prawn, which i think was £5.50 and it was ONE prawn. Chicken pakora with no dipping sauce. I guess as the only indian takeaway on the island you don't need to make an effort. Absolutely awful.

My partner and I have just had a takeaway from this little place. She had the chicken sag with special rice and i had the Arran special kebab. What can i say? They were both absolutely delicious! Don't think you're getting manky lamb and chicken tikka with dinner meat wrapped in a man like you do on the main land. The kebab was diced chicken mixed through with onions and loads of delicious, but not overpowering, spices inside a freshly baked nan that was cooked to perfection. The chicken sag was perfectly cooked.and the special rice was outstanding. The rice has to be experienced, I've never tasted anything as good on the mainland. If you're ever in Arran make sure you try this place. I guarantee you won't regret it.

My local in Dalry was closed for Lunar New Year. Jasmine house did not disappoint. Salt and chilli chicken wings, sweet and sour chicken and a special curry + complimentary mini spring rolls & prawn crackers. All the food was delicious and fresh. I will certainly be back. Don’t be fooled by the exterior which looks unassuming.

We tried this takeaway as we were staying on the island for a couple nights. To say we were surprised with the food is an understatement. Food was fresh and cooked superbly. Both me and the wife said it was probably 1 of the best takeaways we’ve had. As I’m a delivery driver for a Chinese in Glasgow and can’t see past our shop this was up there with being a lot better. Portion sizes everything was perfect. Would we use again aw yeh we would.
