Not bad, service was good, food was exquisite,my waitress was extraordinary, will return in near future

Been a few times for food with my wife and kids, food is excellent and staff are really nice, would visit again.

Liked it. Really nice menu and beautifully cooked food. Friendly service. Lacked a bit of atmosphere but we were in the midst of massive storms so i suspect they had had several cancellations. Apparently becomes a club late at night?!

Not that impressed, food OK service OK was looking a bit taty and rundown

Nice place near to see front. Food was enjoyable. Staff are pleasant which always makes a difference to experience. Will visit again on return.

Booked for dinner for four as part of a birthday celebration. Service for drinks was prompt and given plenty of time to make our choice from the varied menu. The starters we had were the pate with focaccia, crayfish cocktails and potato and leek soup. All were delicious and good sized portions. Given the restaurant was pretty busy the service was quite quick. Our main course choices were three for the fillet steaks (8oz) - all cooked to perfection - with accompanying veg or salad. One had the homemade steak pie with mash and veg. This was also delicious and portion size so generous. We finished with lattes, cappuccino and vanilla ice cream. Price was quite reasonable given the fact we had fillet steaks. Service was prompt and efficient. All in all a very enjoyable experience and will certainly be back.

Lounge has so much to offer, fabulous chic surroundings, great food and entertainment, a roof terrace, great for a night out with friends, not to be missed no wonder it's won so many awards

I had dinner and drinks here with family. There is a special offer where you can order a 2 course dinner for a set price.I had the Pate' and then Mac and cheese. The food was great, fresh and tasted yummy! The food portions are very generous too.The wee girl that served us was really polite and friendly, in fact everywhere I went in Largs there was really good customer service. This place was no different.The atmosphere lends itself to an intimate dinner or out with friends. There are tables for 2 or really big tables for a crowd.There are candelabras everywhere and a really cosy open fire with a magnificent original fireplace. I loved the atmosphere, I would definitely recommend it.You do have to go upstairs to get to this restaurant though so not suitable for wheelchairs or the disabled.

Stephen and his staff couldn’t have done more for us, the food was excellent and everyone had a fabulous experience, the room was perfect and staff helped with all our little extras.

We went here for lunch last Sunday, all of us order the Sunday roast but 2 of us didn’t want the starter and our came that were like warm the Yorkshire pudding was like chewing grease and when we got the bill we were charged for having 3 starters it should be told to you if you don’t want a starter that you will get your sweet cheaper we won’t be back

This food really is exceptional. Thai green curry, one of us had vegetable and chicken, the other seafood, excellent. The chocolate brownie ...wow!

Having walked past this place a few times and read the menu- I decided to give it a try for lunch while in Largs.I chose Beef and ale pie because of the description. It was cheap cuts of beef in a tasteless gravy. The pint of Lager was terrible, not sure why.But the ultimate highlight was the barman spraying Raid (insect killer) around the light fittings above a nearby table while I was eating.I am told that the Lounge is a popular venue in the evenings though.

We called into the Lounge for lunch prior to seeing friends off after they had enjoyed a lovely weekend in Largs. We were certainly not disappointed by the Sunday Lunch. The entire group enjoyed their choices very much. THe roast beef and yorkshire pudding was simply the best I had tasted for a very long time. The beef was extremely tender and very tasty. The service was very good and the whole place took us back to a bygone era. We will definitely return to The Lounge.

Popped in here for bite to eat in evening. Place seems nice enough, didn’t have the problems with staff some of the other poor reviews had. Problems were slow kitchen service then one of meals not worth the waiting for. Two Cullen skinks for starters were tasty enough though one was a little more devoid of fish than the other. Then the smoked haddock risotto followed the same theme ie. a few very small flakes of smoked fish, dish was mainly rice and peas with very little fish flavour. Could only eat a few forkfuls before calling waitress over and asking her to take it away. Was asked if I’d like anything else but given the wait already experienced decided against it. The restaurant did knock off the price of the risotto and our drinks which was more than fair as I’d have been happy enough with just the price of the risotto being knocked off. Given the kitchen didn’t seem able to cope with the customers they had I don’t think I’d be paying another visit.

One of the best venues in Largs. Provides so much under the one roof - I’ve been there for private parties, Sunday roast, Afternoon Tea, family dinners, couples dinners, drinks on the stunning roof terrace and also the club room on a Saturday night which is fantastic (just to name a few) - so much to offer. Food is of such a high quality, great price and I’ve never had any issues. Great staff always very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend Lounge to all for a all round great venue.

Really classy restaurant with an old-school feel. Extremely friendly staff and quick service. The food was incredible, with plenty of gluten free and even vegan options to chose from. The portion sizes were perfect and both meal and drinks really well priced. Can not recommend this place enough.

Staff were lovely, attentive and friendly. The surroundings were amazing. Old fashioned wood panelling everywhere. Lovely use of blue lighting in the corridors. Our scallops and our fillet steaks were exquisite. The red wine steak sauce was to die for. We had a lovely time

We had difficulty finding somewhere special in this small seaside resort. Had been to this Restaurant many years ago and looked forward to giving it a try. Sadly disappointed from the moment we set foot on the stairs. It is dirty, shabby and badly in need of a make over. If you are not too fussy, not caring about nice furniture or attention to detail then this may suit you ? . Cheap and cheerful it is.

booked dinner for 10. Meal itself was very good but we should have been told that this was also a music venue for the weekend. It was deafening everytime the foot to the bar opened. Then we were told we had to move out ( later contradicted) by 10 pm as another band was coming in to set up in the restaurant which they did their set up, sound check and everything as we were seated. Not good.....in fact very bad. obviously will not be back and all should check how loud you like music with your dinner before booking.

We asked if we could skip the starter for a sweet & they said yes, as the place was quiet. Both of us had fish & chips, which was served quickly & was very tasty & generous portion, my friend could not finish. I had warm choc brownie, yummy ! Friend had ice cream, also large portion, but she managed to scoff all of it. Will make sure I visit again, next time I'm in Largs. If your looking for good fresh food, at a reasonable price, I would recommend you try this place.

Me and my partner visited there during the lunch time. There was no one standing around to introduce us to a table, we had to go ask if we can get a table. During our lunch, no one was around to serve us, both waitresses were in other rooms most of the time, one of them were on the phone texting. It was very bad service, and the food was not as good as what reviews said, which was a huge disappointment. My partner ordered a burger, the patty was tiny and very dry, seemed as if it had been sitting out for over an hour. The starter seafood palate was overpriced compared to the quality and quantity. Personally I do not recommend this place.

Great new menu! I had the seafood platter (for one) followed by the venison, both of which where delicious and generous portion sizes. The staff were very attentive and the restaurant was comfortable and relaxing.

Had a two course meal here and few drinks. Good selection to choose from. Friendly staff very helpful and attentive. First class food our thanks to the chef. Every member of staff so friendly and good prices. Highly recommended don't visit Largs without visiting the Lounge.

Simply put : Lounge is fantastic 😀 It's a beautiful restaurant with very friendly and efficient staff who serve up amazing food at brilliant prices. We just can't imagine eating elsewhere in Largs when Lounge is this good.

The staff were very friendly and wanted you to have a great time. The food was wonderful. As a Rose drinker I wish they had a larger selection. It wouldn’t stop me from going back, looking forward to my next visit. I recommend this establishment.

Very nice place to sit and have a drink. The terrace is dated flooring needs replaced. Toilets very cramped and not clean. Staff are attentive place needs an overhaul tho.

First visit to Largs so had no idea of places to eat. Went into 'Lounge' for Afternoon Tea, unfortunately we were too late but decided to eat in the restaurant anyway.

Had a fantastic lunch here on an April afternoon. Not only was the food great it was very reasonable! The service was fantastic and as I was in crutches the manager had organised a chair for my leg! Without asking . Tremendous service great food what’s not to like! We will be returning soon

Ate here on a Saturday with family the £12.95 for 2 courses is deceiving supplements of £17.00 for steak dose not make it good value and the steaks weren’t all that great,we asked for some water and it tasted stale,they did bring us a fresh bottle.we also ordered wine and were served the wrong bottle which when we pointed it out it was replaced with the wright one but it might have been better to have kept the first bottle as the wine was very unpleasant,sorry not a good experience for us all and we will definitely not be back.

Nice location, but unfortunately it was dead on a Friday night. Had a chat with the friendly staff though, and will be back in a few weeks on a Sat for a better idea of the place.

Went for mother's day but been several times before, food is good and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and decor is nice

Great place for a acoustic session, Horse Macdonald was fantastic, and the chance for 2 locals to play as the support were incredible. We booked a meal in the restaurant and had no complaints with the food, good choice on the set meal, priced well, and use different ingredients every month to get a variety o to the menu. we'll stocked bar area, only gripe was no tennents lager, the cheapest available, which meant we had to pay for the expensive stuff, hope this wasn't a ploy to cash in on a busy night with plenty visitors. Pleasant staff in restaurant, bar was not so good, I will come back

We were a group of 6 and had a pleasant Sunday lunch. We were seated in the small dining room at the back as there was a band setting up in the main dining room. The room was a bit cold, and to be honest lacked any personality. (I believe it's the Club at night). Plenty of choice of menus - maybe even too much choice. We had a range of Sunday roasts (beef), light lunches and two course lunches. All the meals were tasty and we had a good catchup with family. Background music was a bit intrusive. Service was good.

My husband and I had the most wonderful lunch at The Lounge. We have eaten there a few times and are never disappointed. Food was amazing as was the service. It was really nice to have lunch without a TV blaring in the corner and actually be able to talk to one another. There is a definite "old fashioned" feel about it with a piano at the edge of the dining room. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit, if you like good food, good service and a roaring fire on a cold day.

Food was really ok and the place was comfortable in appearance but I couldnt relax felt stuffy and as though owners wanted a library type quietness ,not my kind of place at all but good otherwise

What a pleasure to find a warm and friendly restaurant/pub on a cold Sunday afternoon. Had not been to the Lounge for years but it was always a favourite haunt of mine. I was delighted to see that it was still as charming and welcoming as it had always been. Up a flight of stairs it offers great views of the main street in Largs as well as a charming old world interior.. A delightful spot to while away the time and watch the world go by.

One of the busiest pubs later in the evening in largs. Good vibe with good selection of beverages. Real mix of clientele makes for a good atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal. Service was great. Steaks were amazing but it would be good if it was pointed out when ordering that the supplement is £17!!! Risotto was very tasty but quite a small portion.

We were in Largs visiting family and went here as a party of 5 on a Saturday evening. We hadn't booked but they accommodated us. The menu was 2 courses for £12.95 and it was delicious. They also have a separate gluten free menu which is great. I had the mackerel starter and the chicken main and they were both beautifully presented and very tasty. All of the flavours on the plate complimented each other well and everyone else in our party agreed that their dishes were also excellent. Very good value for money and lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely return if we're in the area.

Was so busy on the 2nd 2019 they are so money hungry the wouldnt stop letting people in couldnt even move in the place useless place

Food was nice and prices more reasonable than they used to be but whole place looking shabby and in need of TLC.

Booked table for 10 people. We were greeted warmly and received a first class service. Gave us plenty of time to select what weall wanted. Food was lovley and hot. I personally had crab and crayfish starter followed by honey glazed ham. Everyone in company really enjoyed the food. I would recommend this restaurant if are visiting largs.

Discovered this place while visiting friends in Largs and so glad we did!

We read reviews and were really looking forward to eating in the lounge. The decor is stunning and it had a lovely atmosphere but I have to say that’s all it really had going for it.

Sort of old fashioned. Food good, service good and they have a loyalty card. Don't have Sunday lunch much theses days so it is nice to pop in here and enjoy that old tradition in a nice setting. The rooftop terrace is, weather permitting, a very nice place to be.

Nice location but steep stairs to restaurant. Food generally good but macaroni cheese was very salty and greasy. Very attentive staff and kind of them to recognise the MAC issue. Would definitely go back.

Was at this establishment last night for food with my partner, food was really nice and reasonably priced the drink was reasonable priced also. There was a relaxing atmosphere which was perfect for couples. Staff was really friendly and helpful when asked about recommendations overall I would recommend this place to anyone background music was just nice to finish off the atmosphere

This bar/restaurant is an amazing find, drinks are resort priced, the food specials or main menu were fantastically priced, fantastically presented and tasted amazing. Went back for a second visit in September.

Nice enough meal only 2 people serving bar and food orders . Waited at least 25 min for starters n by time had got main meal was nearly 1hr. Not as if resturant was busy. 2nd time there and was same problem last time. Food nice but not big portions . Wouldnt return

Erg lekker eten, goede bediening maar in een weinig sfeervolle ruimte. Beetje aftands interieur en de muren zijn ook niet alles. Helaas zijn de toiletten niet schoon. Dus ga voor het eten en vergeet de rest

Eten zeer middelmatig. Kruimels op de stoelen en de wc's waren ronduit smerig.

The good thing about lunch at Lounge are the portions. There is a senior citizens menu which serves smaller dishes. A three course meal works out at £11.00. Still plentiful but won’t ruin you’re appetite for evening dinner. I recommend the fish. Tasty.

We visit Largs regularly, but have not been to Lounge in quite a few years. We were stunned how good it is. Possibly the only real restaurant in Largs. Two of us had the steak which was great and some had the local tapas. The black pudding bon bons are to die for, the scallop starter too was a sensation.

This was the best food we’ve had in Largs so far. Mum has just moved at the start of July, and this place had such friendly staff - the manager, waitress and bar staff.

Stopped by for a spot of lunch and it was recently priced and the menu was pleasingly varied.

Still the place to go. Food is delicious

Good tasty food, warm friendly staff. Downside is the bar staffs love of giving you a plastic straw in soft drinks, there’s just no need. Portion size is ok, but if you have a big appetite order a side or two
