Ordered Mixed Vegetable Madras for takeaway. it was just mush! The only vegetables I could identify were a couple of stips of onion.

Very poor food ,small portion size meat was mostly gristle . Ordered garlic fried rice but got boiled rice with raw garlic chucked on the top . Party was for grandson 18th but cake came with happy 81st birthday. Never go back it was terrible they cannot cope with sit in & take away at the same time. Absolute garbage

Ordered food delivery as I had had a drink. Restaurant is 2 minutes drive away from where I was staying (I timed it the following day). Received text to say on its way, so I went outside to wait (place I was staying can be hard to locate). 40 mins and two phone calls to restaurant, food finally arrived. Was cold and congealed. I threw it away! Enough said!

We dropped in for a meal on our way up to the Ashby Canal last week and had to come again tonight on our way back to Derby as it was my birthday and I couldn’t think of a better place to have a meal. Once again, we weren’t disappointed. Great staff and a wonderful meal!!

First of all , it’s not India garden it’s” Little India “, it’s situated above the bulls head in polesworth And it is part of the pub but is accessed via a separate set of steps to the left of the pub . The food was excellent as was the service , I won’t go into detail as to what we had as no two tastes are the same , but all food was piping hot , freshly cooked , the naans and poppadums were the finest I’ve had for a long time

This is now called little India and is under new management. food is lovely best it's been in a long time I work in the pub downstairs when open. Went for a meal to sit in not long after the place was taken over and redecorated. Before we had to close. Service was a bit slow but the food was gorgeous. we were the only ones in the place but they had a lot of take aways would recommend this place. it is also in polesworth not Tamworth. Btw never had a bad meal before either just found it even better now only 4 stars for service which I'm sure will become a 5 once get more settled and more experience in the service side of things.

My favourite place for a curry. Either eat in or get a takeaway. I’ve had both options and the quality of the food is good. Service is always first class too.

Many visits too india garden also many takeaways mostly good , however ordered a takeaway on Friday 2 meals both for myself and partner 2 different meals both chicken , early hours Saturday morning we were both awaken by bad stomachs as the days progressed so did the dodgy stomachs , now considering that is actually all we are on Friday its obvious it could only come from one place ,so unfortunately we will never return nor order or recommend india garden/little india as ii is now known (never again)

Visited on a Saturday night. It was quiet so we were served quickly. Drinks options were good, we had a selection of soft and alcoholic drinks. We had mains of korma, butter chicken and shaslik. Good all round though the shaslik has sauce and was quite spicy. Rices were pilau and coconut - yum! Naan breads were keema and keema with cheese. A lovey meal, we will return.

Just got back from a family meal out for my partners birthday. We have only ever had a takeaway from here before, but decided to eat in for a change. There were 7 of us, 2 adults & 5 children (2-15yrs) from the very start we were greeted with a smile and the night just got better from there. They were so accommodating with the children's meals and the fact our son has a soya allergy. The food was hot, delicious and all were good sized portions. One man in particular that served us, was beyond brilliant with the children throughout the evening, engaging and entertaining and just thoroughly wonderful. For all 7 of us the bill came to just £62 (£57 without drinks) absolutely recommended and will definitely be returning again. Thank you for a lovely end to my partner's birthday ☺️☺️

5 of us went for a meal, and the food was good, but the Cobra Lager expensive, when you consider that we were above a Pub!

What a little gem!! This has got to be one of the best indians we’ve had in a while, really tasty. Staff were attentive, friendly and polite. Service can be a bit slow but thats unstable for a Saturday evening but the food was well worth the wait. My advice go and try it out for yourself, well worth a visit.

Had a large group booking here and we ordered the food whilst sat downstairs in the pub and they called us up when it was ready. Great food and great service

Sorry but 10 of us went there Booked table weeks before After waiting ages for them to take orders or did come the starter chicken tikis was half cold and half luke warm so was very worried about the rest of to comeThe chicken balti did arrive much later with 6 squares of chicken in it And was pretty plane and not that tasty at allBut it cost a lot compared to most Indians to be fair Before I left my tummy was going round ,in my family of 6 out of the 10 group but 3 of us had to leave straight away and was poorly in the toilet for sometime after -this is no way saying the others were bad but half of my family were bad and and will never go there again The people were friendly that run it but it's run down worn out carpets and so out dated in need of a overhaul ,and the toilets are a mess for a good place So all in all for our family it was a very bad experience, this may not be for you ,it was a shame as it's pretty local to us

My wife and I met her cousin in the India garden polesworth above the Bulls head, It a excellent meal very nice people who run the restaurant, Could not fault the meal or the service.

I cannot fault this place. It is easily the best Indian around in my opinion; I've been to a few, and the food quality here in my opinion is significantly better than others. It is now our go-to curry house and we have been many times. The price for the meals is very reasonable too. Finally, the service here is always 10/10. Since being taken over in the last year or so, the service has been great and the owner is a lovely man who really cares about giving his customers a good service. He will often take the time to talk to us, making sure we are looked after and happy. All round a really good curry house, luckily it is not located in a city otherwise I think it would always be fully booked!

curries were inedible, full of ghee, tasted too oily to eat, sent back, didn't have replacement, felt too sick after a mouthfull of chicken drenched in oil, made us ill the next day too, the staff said they wouldn't eat it, so why serve it?

I have put 1 star as there is no option to put non. We have had many takeaways which can be a gamble to receive the full order paid for. Tonight we decided to eat in. The starter was ok then came the main. We both ordered a Pathia. I have no idea what came out from trying the smallest amount on our forks it burnt our throats. We called the owner who took our meals away to change them. The owner said sometimes the chillies can be hotter than usual. Yea ok I get that but to that extent. When the main came out I can only describe it as sitting in a slick of ghee. We tried it as it was a second prepared but just couldn't eat the dish. We then asked for the bill as we had had 1 drink each and the starter. I explained we weren't willing to pay for the curry dish which were £15 for the 2. The waiter went away and knocked off £5. We obviously said no. The waiter went to the owner which at this point he came shouting at us to never go there again. Even when paying for what we had he was still shouting as us. I said you shouldn't shout at your customers this way. He said he hasn't had any other complaints. I said well there is no one else here, doesn't that tell you something. We settled the bill of which I wish now we hadn't even paid that. We have just got home to find my partners tounge badly burnt from the curry. Stay well clear of this place. A very rude, arrogant owner with bad customer service and food.

Went out for a month min celebration for 5 of us. A little bit too much time to allow us to choose our meal, I guess that some people don’t like being rushed. Everything else was good and all the food was pleasant

Desde aquí regularmente tienen comprada hasta ayer ordenados. La semana anterior tuvimos una comida horrible entregado. Después de varias llamadas me las arreglé para tener el director que se disculpó y prometió una comida gratis la próxima vez que pedimos. Él teniendo la oferta llamé en otro orden y sólo me dijeron que querían 30 libras. El director no estaba, pero el propietario, que no lo hablan (porque aparentemente él no podía hablar inglés) dijo nunca de pedir de nuevo. Excelente servicio! ! ! ! !

Date with my missus, excellent service and quick operation despite high demand on Saturday night. My keema naan did lack in meat, but the waiter spotted this and without me having to rise a complaint they offered me an additional naan allowing me to keep the original naan. I'd recommend this place regardless of the naan incident. Staff also directed us (couple) to a table for four as it was the only available table and there were only remaining waiting parties of five or more. Excellent service differentiating. Also great value for money. £31 for 4 poppadoms with all the trimmings, a sheek kebab starter with onions, two mains, coconut rice, chips, a keema naan (no charge for the complimentary naan), a lemonade and a 2 pint bottle of water.

As always great food, small mix up with one of the main courses which was quickly rectified with no fuss. Friendly I rushed service but not slow either. Really enjoyed it

Ment to be medium - rare, when in fact it's well done as I used to be a kitchen manager an also a head grill chef, steak had been sealed then meal streamed not grilled (industrial microwaved for people that done under stand the the terminology) Items missed off our order, The place Smells like someone's arm pit as soon as you open the door which is off putting to start with, I wouldn't feed my dog this steak let alone give it to the homeless, cheap grisly poor cuts of meat filled with oil, I WOULDNT SEND ANYONE THERE NO MATTER HOW MUCH I HATE THEM

We ate he at 9 o'clock on a Saturday night and it was rammed. Despite being half an hour early for our reservation they shuffled some tables around and served us promptly. The food was great and despite being under pressure service was most definitely with a smile. I'll use it again.

Speaking as curryholics from London, this is far better than expected for somewhere like Polesworth -- some unusual (and excellent) main dishes, very good vegetable and rice side dishes, truly excellent naan bread, and good value. And after you've eaten yourself to a standstill the Bull's Head downstairs is a great place to retire to, very friendly with excellent beer...

We have been here twice now and both meals have been very nice with good service. The offer on a Sunday evening is really good value for money. Poppadoms and chutney tray, any starter, any main and a rice or naan bread for £9.95. The North Indian Garlic Chilli is lovely!

We ordered at 8pm and after 1hr and 20 mins our food arrived on plating up we realised we were missing 2 portions of chips and a naan! When we rang up to complain we were told the driver will be sent back with the rest of our order, and will have some money off next time we order (would not knock anything off the £28 we payed for this order! 15 mins later the driver arrived with 2 portions of chips that were from the chippy and not thier own restaurant and I was told I would get my free naan next time, by the time we all sat down to eat the food was cold and no one ate it apart from the 2 portions of chippy chips that were still warm! Most expensive chippy I've ever eaten! I would really like a full refund of this meal but from the sound of the guy on the phone my chances are slim! Will not be ordering again even though we've ordered many times from here and been quite happy with service.

Good standard Indian fare - naan bread was particularly light and puffy. Attentive service....modern interior - and rather bizarrely a large photo of George Best over the bar!?! Will go back. Above the pub with its own external stairs - so you don't have to go in through the pub but it's a handy place to meet.

Been here before and glad to say it's still as good. The entry to the restaurant is at the side of the pub up some external stairs, not wheel chair friendly at all I'm afraid. Once insid ethe decor is fine and the staff are very attentive.The food was great and overall a most enjoyable meal.

This was our third vsit and as ever we enjoyed a good meal , the menu is a bit wider than your typical indian restaurant. It was quiet when we visited and we had a good chat with our friendly waiter. Our only minor complaint was that it was a bit too cool in the dining room. We will return

My partner and I visited here with another couple on the Saturday before Easter Sunday at around 17:30. Considering the day and the time we were the only customers in the building for the entire time.The building is accessed via a flight of stairs above The Bulls Head pub. The restaurant is quaint and clean and also well decorated.We all ordered drinks (they only had Cobra lager on draft, other ales were from cans) and then we all ordered a starter and a main.The food came quickly and, I must say, was fantastic. I would have eaten my starter for my main.The main meals quickly followed and, they too, tasted wonderful. The food was priced competitively and it all tasted great. The staff were very friendly, asking us about our meals and whether we wanted anymore drinks etc.The restaurant do delivery and collection as well as eating in and I know my family will be using this as our new regular Indian food takeaway.We have lived in the local area for almost 2 years now and we have never visited the restaurant, and I know that will now change! We thought the food was extremely good and we were made to feel very welcome throughout.

We visit regularly. Food is consistently good, with an incredibly varied menu, and the service is outstanding. Try the pakora which is truly amazing! You can vary ingredients and heat level if you ask. Nothing is too much trouble. We love it!

I have visited here several times and never had a bad meal and we recently had a couple of takeaways from here and they are amazingly fresh, not greasy and always promptly made even when they are extremely busy. Great place and superb food.

Had a meal here on the 19/12/15 after booking 2 weeks in advance for 6 people. Starters and drinks arrived within 10 minutes but had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for main meal. After pointing this out to the waiter we were told what do you expect on one of the busiest nights of the year. The meal was nice enough but the customer service was sh#t.

Stopped off for a fantastic dinner whilst narrowboating on the Coventry Canal. Restaurant is a stones throw from the canal.Amazing varied menu at really reasonable prices. Very courteous service and waiter willing to help guide choices. A really terrific meal, good sized really tasty portions and would really recommend a vist.

Visit here quite often as never had a bad meal and food is really well priced. There is usually no need to book as they can fit you in, even on a weekend. Service has always been very good

Have eaten there once but have had several takeaways, in every instance they have been excellent. Always hot(temp) usually takes 45 mins from order. Always include a couple pompadoms and a couple of small starters if order over £20

My wife and I often visit the restaurant and use their takeaway service. We're never disappointed!The meals are always full of flavour, and portion sizes spot on. The service is always great too, the staff are always friendly and accommodating. The level of spice can fall short for some who like their dishes very hot, but in my view, the lovely flavours more than make up for any lack of "fire"!

We were a group of 6 friends, staying at the Belfry!! You can't visit the Midlands without having a curry!!! Checked on trip advisor and found Indian Garden, we wanted one that served alcohol because we didn't wish to have to go and find somewhere to buy it and take it with us. All the food we chose was excellent. The flavours and balance of spices in every dish was just right. My husband said best onion bhajis he had ever had, because they were flat instead of round which made them crispy. The poppadoms were also delicious very thin and light. I am making myself hungry thinking of what we ate last night.The staff were friendly and helpful. Well done to all of you. If ever we are back down in the Midlands will try to visit again.

We popped into this place one night as I'd read good reviews of it. The restaurant was fairly quiet on the evening we were there so we were seated immediately.We were given menus which had a lot of variety of dishes and being a chilli-head I decided to have the dish they describe as "Extremely hot dish. A dish for hot curry connoisseurs" but unfortunately I didn't think it was particularly spicy. My wife had another dish which should have been hot but not stupidly hot and we both thought her dish was slightly spicier than mine.Overall, the service was really good and the food was of a good quality and we were happy with the meal. I've knocked off a star for the level of spice not being too consistent.

Not knowing this restraunt existed we booked at simlar ,Dordon.only to be told after 5 weeks of it being booked and confirmed they had not got us booked by rude and arrogant staff, what do we do , my brother suggested the Indian Garden above the bull head, Polesworth.Worth a try as my Daughter was 18t and it was her Party and she was starting to get upset.We arrived and explained the situation, They found us a table Immediately, we were treated like royalty, with superb food the friendlliest most helpfull staff possible.Thanks to Indian Garden and their staff they made such a bad night so great.Many Thanks to all, and we will Definately return.If you about the area and want and Indian meal, visit Indian Garden I Promise you will not be Dissapointed.

Paid this curry house a visit whilst staying in Polesworth. Excellent service and fabulous food. The menu is extensive and portion sizes are generous. My only suggestion would be the addition of hot plates to maintain the temperature of the curries. If we ever find ourselves in the area again we would definitely make a return visit. Highly recommended.

Best indian in town still and doesn't fail to deliver I let the waiter recommend for me and it was fab again

Nothing to dislike there my friends. The food is great the staff are wonderful. Take away is just the same as in house. All I can say on that one is we are regular visitors and have always been treated with the utmost courtesy. Don't just take my word for it go give it a try yourselves

We have been to many places but this little place surely deserves to be praised for its excellent quality food and lovely service.Especially the tandoori chicken and the chicken tikka as our starters were brilliant, the best! Then the balti I had was fantastic so was the patiah my missus ate and we are so glad that we ordered this amazing naan breads which were out of the world! Hats off to the kitchen staff! Highly recommended.

Have been here a number of times to eat in and also use it for take-aways and have never been disappointed. Food quality is excellent and service prompt. Really handy for canal-users as just next to the water at Polesworth. Would highly recommend. The only downside is the basic toilet facilities.

Four of us stopped off at the India Garden one night during our week on the canals in the surrounding area. At first it seemed a little unusual that the restaurant was situated above a pub but once we were inside we found the restaurant to be well decorated (modern/fusion-style) and we were soon greeted by an excellent waiter who really made the evening. He was extremely polite, friendly and helpful, assisting us with our choices with pleasure. An Extensive menu with some exciting dishes. Plenty of choice for my vegetarian partner. When the food was served our waiter brought everything out on a trolley and then heated each dish up on a hot plate type cooker; I had never seen this done before and it added a nice touch!I had order the Chicken Tikka Sag Paneer - it was superb. Flavoursome, perfect portion size, excellent quality - so tasty! All the other members of the party were equally inpressed with their dishes (Chicken Korma, Mushroom Bhuna - this looked really good - and Special Tandoori Balti) I also had some Tandoori Roti bread which was lovely and others at the table had Peshwari Naan and Special Naan (which was topped with cheese, garlic and chicken tikka!) They said these were delicious. So, i would highly recommend visiting the India Garden for fantastic Indian food, great value and outstanding service.

Such nice guys, happy to recommend dishes my kids would eat (and they were right). Will be back next time I vist Grandma in the UK. What a nice treat for an ex pat who just cant find this type of good quality Indian Food in the USA.

We visited for the second time on our way through, menu was dropped off at the boat, service! Food was just as good as last year and good portions.Did not experience the restaurant but meal was delivered to the pub next door while we waited.

We visit regularly, living within walking distance. The food is always very good and the staff friendly. The place is nicely done out and it's good value for money. My only criticism is that it is often empty (we usual go on a week night so may be better at the weekend) which means it lacks a little atmosphere, which is a shame cos other than that it's great.

The service is at a snails pace. Seated for half an hour before we the waiter to come and take our order. Then the wait for food became longer and longer at least 45 mins for the starter. When we asked the waiter about the problem his attitude was disgusting. They obviously prioritise the takeaway service over the restaurant, because in his words they can't keep the people at home waiting!!! I have never been spoken to in such a rude and obnoxious manner by a waiter before and this is a real shame as the food is great when you get it. We won't be returning or using the takeaway again!!
