Nice Sunday roast, choice of Beef brisket, Lamb or chicken. Lamb very good. A jug of gravy on the table for the Yorkshire puddings would be my preference. Great staff and friendly service. Good ambiance and restaurant layout well done. Toilets clean.

Absolutely fantastic food and service Fabio is the absolute gem of the place and your experience can slighty differ dependant on if he is working or not. He’s got the X Factor when it comes to front of house and managing people in the restaurant and always makes it an enjoyable experience.

We’ve frequented another local Italian for years and were so upset that the quality went downhill when it changed hands. 2 meals at ilcortile and we’ve NEVER been disappointed. I have to say it tops our old regular Italian. We’ve tried a good variation of the menu between us all in our last couple visits and everyone has been so in love with their dish. The staff also cannot do enough for you. I haven’t been out to eat and been waited on so nicely in such a long time. Thankyou for a lovely night last night. Be back soon x

I have a senior role in a starred Michelin Restaurant, so I do hope people reading this will take heed. I’m certainly not going to bore anybody with a full blown review. Pasta is not my bread and butter, but, i have been to dozens of Italians in my time. I arrived with my Wife, Son and Father in Law for a 5 o clock reservation. Atmosphere was relaxed and staff were really pleasant. Garlic bread was awesome. Really nice thin base which is so nice to see. My Lasagne was an absolute dream. It ticked all the right boxes. My Wife and Father in Law both opted for Carbonara which I also sampled, really lovely. My Son had the steak which although cooked well still retained it’s juices and was not tough at all considering it was from the rump. So yes, a thoroughly enjoyable Italian, one of the best I have had in a long time! Keep it up.

Been for a lunch today with my sister on a cheeky, rare annual leave day off together. I must say the food was most delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant. Beautiful tasty food. The salad was also very fresh and plenty of it. The service was good too. Excellent value on the lunch menu. We shall be returning again.

Been for the bottomless pizza and prosecco a few times and the service is always really good, the staff are lovely and the pizzas are delicious. I recommend this place to everyone when discussing bottomless brunches.

Went here for a Sunday lunch to celebrate a family birthday. I have to say the staff were brilliant, food tasted great in a lovely atmosphere. Great menu too if you don't fancy a Sunday dinner. Loved our time there. Went back for a birthday celebration and again the whole experience was fantastic. Great thanks to our host Charlotte

Came tonight my first visit although we were in a large party upstairs away from the main area our atmosphere was great, the service was spot on and the food was amazing. Great portion size and cooked to perfection.it’s lovely decorated for Christmas too. Thank you I will be back

Fantastic food,service,cocktails,beer, and wine. From start to finish, we could not fault anything from our evening, and that included the value for money for one of the best Italian meals we have had in a long time. Truly wonderful evening, and we will definitely be back in the near future.

Very poor visit to this place. Food was of a poor standard and lacking any Italian flare .... I would say its British food trying to be Italian... not authentic in other words . 2 stars at best for good staff and friendly service however a visit to a restaurant is all about the quality of the food and this fell well short. We won't be back...

BEST restaurant in Culcheth and surrounding areas!!! Me and a friend went here tonight for a catch up and were served really quickly. We had a cheesy garlic bread for our starter and it was amazing and so flavourful. For our mains we had the Rigatoni Agnello and the Linguine Granchio. Both were equally had very high flavour profiles and were cooked perfectly. For desert we shared the special Pistachio Eton mess and that was equally gorgeous. The staff were very professional and polite throughout the time we were there. I will always return. Thanks for the great night!

Recently visited here for lunch, service was quick and the lunch menu was extremely good value for money at £7.95 on Wednesday to Friday for a selection of pizza/pasta and a drink.

I went for my birthday and we had the bottomless brunch .it was fabulous. Really good authentic tasty food, the staff couldn't do enough for us and we're so polite. Defiantly going back .thank you to everyone.

Great on a Friday night with live music which create a great atmosphere. Menu is pretty small, but there's enough choice for us and the kids.

Lovely food. Shame about the rude obnoxious manager. Time limit on table (even though the place wasn’t even half full before and after meal)..WHY? Plates almost thrown at us by the manager, presumably because we questioned him. Mysogynist straight from Hollywood casting. Made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted. We will not hurry back. Such a shame. 5 star only for food -10 for him.

I would give il Cortile 5stars for food…1star for customer service..hence 3star average. The food, excellent presentation, tasty and reasonably priced. The customer service on the other hand requires serious attention. We have experienced similar issues to previous customers. The front of house manager is in need of retraining. Basil Fawlty is alive and well and now located in Culcheth. On arrival, we were met (not greeted) by a surly, arrogant manager. He showed us to a table in the middle of a half empty restaurant. The restaurant has a number of booths, all but one was empty. We requested to be seated in one of these booths. He reluctantly escorted us to a booth but made it very clear that it had to be vacated within 90 minutes because of a pre booking. We agreed as it appeared to be a reasonable request. On finishing we were surprised to find all the other booths and 3/4 of the restaurant empty. The manager in question should look at his manners and attitude towards paying customers. He was obviously put out by the fact that we had the audacity to ask for a different table. To further show his contempt, he ignored us for the duration of our visit. This made us feel very uncomfortable. We will not be rushing back.

Visited yesterday with a group of friends, the food and service was amazing. Highly recommend a visit. Great space and design inside really really friendly setting. Will be visiting again. Price was really good aswell

Would not recommend. Food was extremely salty and bland and over priced. We booked a table for 2 at 6.45pm at 8.00 pm we was given the desert menu but someone can over to our table I am assuming It was the manager and asked us to leave as the table was booked and so someone was waiting. I been in hospitality for 20 years and never have asked anyone to leave table as someone was waiting. When we walked out we saw empty tables also.Absolutely appalling will not be returning or recommending to anyone.

We're new to the area and this was our first experience of Il Cortile. We phoned through a takeaway order and were met by a friendly professional greeting. I arrived early and decided to get half a pint of beer (wish I could remember the name) it tasted great! I briefly spoke to a friendly member of staff who turned out to be the owner! as to whome I was applauding the service I'd recieved thus far! The food was on parr, if not better, than the food we recently had on the Amalfi Coast and this was only a takeaway we ordered! Top notch food, service and value for money, we'll DEFINETLY be returning in numbers to experience the restaurant experience next time, this is our local Italian.

Food was 'adequate' service mediocre and the place lacked the atmosphere usually associated with an Italian restaurant. A dreary experience. Next time I'll drive to Bella Italia , cheaper, better food, and more caring service .

Overall a good experience. Food was a bit hit and miss. Tomatoes in a starter were not the tastiest, very average olives, carbonara was a bit too much oily, cheesecake salty and maybe the worst of all, couldn't finish What was hit - cocktails and mocktails, risotto and tiramisu five stars 🙌 Helpful staff, cosy atmosphere, would return.

The manager was rude and unhelpful when 3 of our party returned their meals. The meals were very bland and lacking any sauce, I've eaten nicer food in the pub over the road.

The food was lovely. I had the 'Swordfish Special'. The food, the wine and the service was right on the button. There were four of us in the party. We all had different things but each one of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely will visit again. Well recommended.

We went for Valentine’s Day was really disappointed. We’ve been before and it’s been nice. All the staff looked to be 18 or under and not really interested in being there. The food was average at best. Ordered a coffee 10 mins before the desserts hoping it would come with the desserts still hadn’t arrived 15 mins after we’d had them. I think as the waitress had to make them and no one could be bothered. Shame as it was really nice when we went a couple of years ago wouldn’t rush back. Wish we would have gone some where else

Not great, greeter at the door was a young rude 15 year old girl with no manners. Took over 15 minutes to get asked what drinks we would like. Food OK ish only just warm and not much flavour. Wouldn't recommend.

Delicuous food but dreadful service. Sweet young waiter but he needs to remember what people ask for and bring it rather fasterthan he did. (The restaurant was Not busy) Coffee particularly long time in coming. One of my party asked for a brandy which did not arrive. When he c asked he was told that there was no brandy.

Very enjoyable night although could have done with a seafood pizza (my favourite!) Service good (they turned down the music when we asked which isn't always the case in restaurants), and plentiful free tap water (again, not always the case.) Desserts especially good.

Poor service. Spare ribs had to be sent back not cooked through enough. Main meal ok nothing special, also not very good selection on menu. Asked the waiter to make a cocktail which wasnt on the menu , but did say it isnt on the menu we would make one up.Asked the waiter to his reply No we can't do that there isnt enough spirits to do that behind the bar.Enough said.
