Great restaurant in a former Midlands Bank. Great food and attentive waiters. Considering how busy they were we didn't have to wait too long either.

Went for a work meal while working at Screwfix live and the whole team and atmosphere was amazing

Popped in tonight for our usual weekly visit, due to an exhibition on at the airport it was crazily busy and expected to be all night , but the food was as great as ever and the staff even though run off their feet were their usual friendly and attentive selves. We are so lucky to have this wonderful restaurant in Farnborough . Thanks Jerome and team xxxxx

Typical Italian restaurant run I think by Italians. The food I have to say was very good. Yes indeed. For some people who are workers, I see the amount as fair. But if we take into account that it is a restaurant with a bit of class, the portions were not bad. What I didn't like is that we had to wait more than an hour for them to serve us.

Would definitely recommend this traditional Italian restaurant. Enthusiastic Italian owner, great service and amazing food.

Perfect is the only way I can describe my visit. Perfect food, perfect service. We were passing by and thought we would give it a try. We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated. I had the tuna off the specials board. It was cooked to perfection and was wonderfully tasty. The dessert options are brought to you on a trolley. I had the tiramisu It was amazingly light. The service was fast, efficient, friendly without being familiar. Absolutely brilliant. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our meal there our only regret is that we live so far away it will be a while before we visit again

A wonderful find for us! We came here last week with the family for a birthday celebration and we were really looked after by the staff. Our hostess went above and beyond getting the whole place in on singing Happy Birthday to the birthday girl! A lovely touch, thank you!

The food here is great! They do gluten free pasta which is great. I had the sea food pasta and it was soo good, I would eat more. The puddings came round on a cart which was lovely so u could see what u are getting. True Italian feel. The staff are great and really friendly and had a joke with us.

Yet another fantastic night, food superb, service brilliant, would highly recommend.

Ate here once in Jun 23 and, despite having 2 restaurants near my hotel, had no qualms to take make the 15 min walk past yet more options for both my nights in Mar 24. Superb pasta and fantastic fish specials (the tuna was a very generous portion). Having lived in Italy, this is the most authentic Italian I've eaten at in the UK: both food and, even, the menu (with primi and secondi options). RECOMMEND BOOKING if going after 1930 as very busy entailing vibrant atmosphere but still with quick, friendly, service. Hope I get chance to come back again!

Hands down my favourite restaurant ever. Used to be a regular since 2022 but had the pleasure of dining last night and was recognised so that was lovely. Food is always 10/10 and so helpful and polite. I get the Garlic prawns and the Tagliatelle al Salmone, also the honeycomb cheesecake is to die for. Absolutely love this place will be back very soon!!

I was visiting the area on business and I found this restaurant. The staff were so welcoming and the food was excellent. What helps is that is clearly an Italian family running it so the hospitality and quality of food meets their own very high standards. Very grateful

13. Feb. 2024 Unacceptable noise level from the kitchen departement, boring dish penne pollo, could not see what was Penne and what was pollo, a few green coloured leaves of some sort…. What about some side salad…Cutlery not appetizing. Starter plates awful… Brushetta half burnt… Italian elderly servant quick, smiling and funny, but an Italian kitchen should know how to make a meal look and taste better than what I was served yesterday.

Lovely Italian restaurant. We had dinner here four times already since we moved to Aldershot. Warm servers with good humour. There, tiramisu is delicious and rich and a must try. They always have fresh seafood and specials, which my husband and I always go for. They never disappoint us on the quality and service. We will definitely go back again.

Fantastic little neighbourhood Italian. Absolutely buzzing - almost every table was full by 6.30pm on the Saturday night we visited. Warm and friendly staff, great food, excellent service. Excellent value for money. It’s a gem.

We hadn’t been for a while but it was just as perfect as before ambience food and staff were all perfect . Flavours were just so yummy the beautiful white tablecloths, cutlery and glasses perfectly clean and crisp nothing was a problem the waiter was never hovering but just knew when to appear, yes it is not inexpensive but the cost is perfect for what you receive. I would rather wait three months and to go to Il colleseo than go out for three months at all. They really do a fantastic menu and create that perfect balance of hospitality.

My partner and I had been wanting to visit this place for a longtime. I really wish we hadn’t! It was so uncomfortable and the food was bad. The staff were so depressed and even got annoyed when we rejected their dessert cart. My pizza was flavourless and undercooked. For an Italian restaurant, I don’t need to write anymore. It’s a solid no from us!!!

Decent Greek place with good portions, friendly staff

Been twice in October. Perfect fillet steaks every time. Good friendly service. Bruschetta and mushroom starters are great, The king prawn dishes are big. The pizzas are lovely.

I visited this restaurant one weekday evening around 20:30 as it was close to my accommodation. It was not busy and I was able to get a table. It was a nice clean restaurant and the staff were very friendly. The time to read through the menu and make a desicion was just right before my order was taken. I had a veal dish and it and the vegetables were just to my liking, just wish I had the time to try a dessert.

Arrived last night for our usual Friday night meal , the restaurant was filling up fast due to an exhibition being on in the town , but the staff were their usual friendly selves food was great and atmosphere was buzzing . Such a special place with special people , well done Jerome and team

Bought pizza and chips cost 19£ pizza could of got down the road and same type pizza you'd find any local pizza shop. Thought it was going to be a proper Italian pizza. Disappointing

The owners are so funny, and they keep a friendly atmosphere with their jokes and comments. Food is lovely, we had a large range of items off the menu. Their dessert which are made in-house are so amazing! Definitely worth a visit!

This is our go-to favourite for a treat or any occasion and we’re never ever disappointed. It’s a friendly, lively place with a bit of atmosphere and fresh, authentic food. Always greeted with a warm welcome. Last night we enjoyed starters, mains and desserts, the only problem is making decisions on what to choose. Prawns and chilli, mozzarella and roasted veggies, garlic bread. Pizza, salad, steak with peppercorn sauce. Followed by profiteroles, Irish coffees… a real treat.

The best pizza, garlic bread and desserts in the area! The food is delicious, never had a bad meal here. Always think im too full for dessert but then the trolly comes out and you can’t resist, and I wouldn’t recommend resisting as they are mouth watering. The staff are an amazing comedic duo and couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Went here for dinner with a group of colleagues and really enjoyed the experience. Based in an old bank the restaurant provided us with a friendly welcome by the family owner; such "old-fashioned" a welcome is to be celebrated and made us settle in for a lovely evening of good food and nice drinks. Plenty of choice was provided and the pizza and pasta dishes were well cooked and nicely presented. I have not been here before this visit and after this experience this will certainly not be the last time that I eat in this great new discovery. Easy parking on the street outside was an added bonus and I can heartily recommend this place.

Da italiano posso dire che si tratta di un ristorante italiano che cucina con i gusti locali e non con le ricette originali italiane e quindi forse è apprezzato dagli inglesi. Basta pensare alla carbonara con la panna... Ho preso la pizza vegetariana e credo che la base fosse precotta, il forno è elettrico e non a legna. Pensavo di prendere i dolci che il proprietario diceva di fare in casa ma poi avvicinano al tavolo il carrello e come si vede dalle foto si tratta di dolci rigorosamente industriali (della Bindi) e non artigianali. Prezzi nella media del posto.

Definitely highly recommended restaurant. The food was brilliant, best pizza in town. Authentic Italian. It is a good idea to reserve a table as it was always full of people. Staff was really friendly, waiting time for pizza was also OK. At the end they brought all of their desserts on a small cart so we could see and smell them live 😋

I visited here as part of a work trip, this was my evening meal and after a long day of travelling it did not disappoint! Having looked up the restaurant online, I was pleasantly surprised to arrive and find that they could offer me everything...

Il Colesseo in my opinion, feels a bit out of touch with trying to get returning customers. Don't get me wrong, the staff were attentive. The restaurant had high ceilings which made the place very loud acoustically. At times we struggled to understand/hear our waiters and ourselves. The food was punching above its weight did not fit the price tag. Not the greatest experience. The food arrived quickly but at different intervals. From the first plate of our party of five to the last was about 5 minutes. So some of the food got cold on the table whilst waiting for the rest of our party to be served. The main dish I ordered was the "Pollo Diavola" - Breast of chicken with tomato, chilli and peppers. The taste was average and a bit bland. The portion sizes were not fitting for the price. There was minimal everything... vegetables, roasted potato cubes (about 3/4 inch in size) and chicken paillard was small. Was left feeling disappointed. We had a choice of dessert which was displayed to us on a regular tea trolly with no refrigeration. Quaint if you like that style but I would prefer a chilled dessert. The plated presentation of the Tiramisu dessert was not pretty. It felt like I was having a school dinner. One thing to be wary of is the menu prices. They are displayed outside and on the tables. For the chicken dish on both of these is priced at £15.95. When the bill arrived it was priced at £16.95. So when ordering, I would advise checking with your waiter that the price on the menu is correct. The dining experience at Il Colesseo was, for me, one to forget. Its a shame as there have been a lot of good reviews for the place. Maybe a review of the restaurant is required by the owners.

Great Italian food and atmosphere

Just a nice place to go. Nice people nice food. Dishes not salty (unlike Zizzi) and nicely balanced. Sweet trolley comes around at the end with a good selection of yumminess. Best to get there before 1900 as the place was full when we left around 2000. Good buzz, good vibe, good range of people. Music fine and not obtrusive. Pizza oven great to watch.

Very good food and service. The home made tiramisu is surely one of the best. The lighting is fairly bright and a touch austere inside but nice all the same.
