Called in around lunchtime after a walk around Corris, the lady serving was so friendly, we had hot chocolate and a pannini, pannini was delicious. My wife found the hot chocolate a little rich, and the owner offered to make her a cup of tea FOC. All the staff were lovely, well done!

We stopped at this little cafe/store at lunch time and were obviously very lucky to find it open judging by previous reviews. The staff were very friendly and it was very nice inside. My husband and I have toasties which were good. Closing at 3.00 and being closed on Sundays is very sad for people hoping to visit on other occasions. Anyway we enjoyed our experience.

This is now has its 3rd owner in 5 years. Originally opening 6 days a week morning until late evening, with many late night functions. The next owner started with these hours, but quickly reduced them down to a few hours over 5 days, with frequent closures for holidays. The Present owners have reduced these hours further.Within a few months of taking the helm the days and hours have been reduced further with several closures. Seems like this business has become a hobby venture, instead of the thriving hub it once was!

Absolutely beautiful cafe, the owners are so friendly and lovely. We enjoyed a delicious toastie and vegan treats. It’s so great to see so many vegan options and all homemade. Best of all the coffee was absolutely delicious - not exaggerating the coffee was the best we’ve ever have. Thank you so much! 10/10 recommend

Stopped here this time on our way to Snowdonia, great coffee and good selection of snacks and delicacies . On the downside though - it opens for a few hours a day , over 5 days and is frequently closed for the owners many breaks.

We has lunch today and it was delicious. Hearty broth with sourdough toast and Moroccan nut roast. Followed by excellent coffee and carrot cake. We also bought olives, coffee and local butter from the "store". Lovely staff and great surroundings. Highly recommended.

We had stopped "up the road" but decided to move on and I'm so glad we did. The friendly welcome and informality made us feel comfortable and the choice of food was imaginative. Coffee was very good (I had a second cup), my burrito was delicious and satisfying. We also bought some dates from the shop area and left feeling pretty good.

We were looking for a nice breakfast stop on our way to St Davids from Cheshire . We didn’t want to stop in The tourist mecca Bala. Just 1 minute off the A487 is Idris Stores, which is a store and Cafe combined. Trip Advisor shows 5 stars and it is truly well deserved. We arrived with our Dog and were made to feel very welcome by the owners. We had Delicious Granola, Soda Bread Toast. The coffees we superb too. It was so good that we made a point of stopping on our return journey for lunch. My wife had a frittata and three of us had a burritos. They also offer vegetarian and vegan dishes.

The perfect end to a really wonderful week's holiday. We'd been meaning to visit all week and we're so glad we dropped in for breakfast on our way home. Idris Stores is so much more than a café and so much more than a store. It's got real soul and it felt like a real hub for the village community. The owners were so wonderfully welcoming and accommodating. We had omelettes and bacon on sourdough toast - simply delicious. Great vegan options too. We couldn't leave without a couple of treats and enjoyed our blueberry cakes and Snowdon lager when we got back home. We will definitely be back!

We happened to be driving through Corris around brunch time, so took a quick stop-over at the Idris stores. Having heard about a change in owners, we were worried if reviews were still valid. We needn't have worried - a fantastic brunch saw us set up perfectly for the long journey home. Highly recommended.

Although living fairly locally this was our first visit to Idris Stores. Good coffee and cakes in front of a roaring log burner on a cold day was just what we were looking for. We’ll definitely be back for more.

We went for breakfast one morning mid week whilst staying in the area (it doesn't open until about 10am)... The wonderful Italian lady who was working the place that day was quite a character and really added to our experience... Breakfast was fairly basic, the coffee was nice. The packed lunch she made whilst chatting to us about all and sundry was wonderful though. The stores sell everything you could and would want locally - the only issue is the opening times, but if you're passing it's worth a look... Stop off on your way to see the 'Led Zep house' which we learnt all about but never visited.

Right in the middle of the scenic village of Corris is this combination café/bakery/grocery store. Stop in, throw calorie counting to the winds, and enjoy.

We loved this place and were estatic about it but the new owners have raised it to a new level. There is the vibrant sense of a community hub and this is a unique place in a small village.

We stopped here for breakfast twice, having been disappointed by the service at another establishment. The breakfast rolls are tasty, especially the sausages, and both the tea and coffee were good. Fair prices and very friendly service. Outdoor seating where you can eat your food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Llanberis and its surroundings. Also does delicious cakes, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.

I'm actually gutted to be writing this review as we thought we had found a good haunt when we first tried last week. 2 adults & 2 children all had a lovely lunch time meal the previous week so we rebooked for the 2 adults for an evening meal the following weekend. The starter was lovely for both of us but we both ordered fillet steak for our main and I don't know what meat it was but it certainly wasn't a beef steak. It didn't look like one, taste like one or even cut like one. I was genuinely gutted as it has put me off going back again because I feel like it's just rude to expect somebody not to notice and left feeling like we've been totally ripped off. You don't order a fillet steak if you don't know exactly what to expect on your plate so the audacity to think you can pull that off is unbelievable. I can't complain about the service, both times it has been spot on, lovely women but unfortunately we won't be returning after been served that.

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth
