A really lovely hotel where the staff are exceptional. Welcoming, very efficient and friendly. Love the quirky decor of the rooms which are very quiet and beds are so comfy. Breakfast was excellent too and the location is great. Not too far from the station or the city centre. Would definitely stay herecagain

Firstly, the hotel was quite difficult to locate, and not in a very obvious part of the city. Next, upon arrival, we asked to pay cash and the hotel staff didn't seem too pleased. We had to pay a £1 fee on a bank card, even though we had already booked online with a registered card for our stay. The hotel rooms themselves are fairly spacious, however, our room had what looked like a door that was supposed to go through to the room next door. It appeared to have been bolted shut, but still made us feel slightly unsettled. There were quite a few stains on the carpet as well. However, the bed was comfortable and the room was fairly quiet. It's just about what you'd expect from an Ibis (although I've stayed in better Ibis hotels before). We personally wouldn't go back to this particular hotel.

A good budget hotel for a short stay. If you need parking, it's next door and you still get a discount from the hotel, so it's a good option. Nice rooms, everything you need is there. Location great, only 15 minutes walk from Sheffield city centre. There is a late check out option for a surcharge.

Good clean rooms, comfortable beds but rock hard pillows. Drinks very expensive, but overall ok budget hotel.

Handy if you need to be in that part of Sheffield and stay the night. Good value if you happen to be there when there isn't an event on (as it's cheaper).

Rooms are unbearably hot with no air conditioning, and the location is too noisy with the tramlines next to the window. I couldn't get a sleep. I don't recommend

While visiting Peak District, we decided to stay here for part of our holiday. Amazing experience from start to finish and exceptional customer service from hotel staff. Hats off for housekeeping , maintaining the room and public areas spotless. Strongly recommend this hotel.

Good location but a disappointing room. Moulded single piece shower room and the room was very hot (in July). No air con but reception gives you a fan if you ask. Expected much better given the rates.

Stayed here rather than the Novotel where we have stayed twice previously due to massive cost difference. No problems other than room was very warm (July). I understand we could have requested a fan but by the time we realised the need we were dressed for bed. Service from reception and bar was excellent. We didn't eat there

Good service, location good for city centre and train station. However, this hotel is unbearably hot without any air conditioning. I've never had such a bad night's sleep in a hotel due to the temperature, and it wasn't even that hot outside! Wouldn't stay here again due to this issue.

The location and design are good, but the room was very hot during the night. Probably the worst night sleep I've had in a hotel anywhere. Would not stay here again.

Stayed for work. Comfortable, quiet rooms, 24 hr desk if needed and a really good breakfast. I'll be back!

Daughter booked here Saturday to Monday. Upon early arrival they charge extra to check in early. Told by a grumpy receptionist. Pros of hotel - good view depending on which side room you get. Great view of the trams. Good location to tram stop that takes you to Meadowhall. Peter the evening shift receptionist was very helpful. Breakfast had a good variety of cereal. Orange juice was nice. Hot breakfast item were good Scrambled no fried eggs, plum tomatoes not grilled. Although the items were in hot pans with tissue on the lids so not to burn hands. Bit fussy just have the hot items in open dishes like other breakfast bars. Cons- on arrival in the bathroom the toilet roll holder had half a roll on. Should be a full one. No safe provided in the room. Or ironing board and iron although not all hotels provide this amenity. The TV inch size is smaller than other hotels visited. Overall a pleasant and surprisingly nice stay.

I stayed here whilst visiting Sheffield to watch the Snooker World Championship. It was a 10 minute walk to the Crucible and around the same time to the train station so the location is very good. Check in was very easy and the staff were friendly with nothing too much trouble. The rooms are a very good size, comfortable and quiet. I thought the shower was very good and larger than normal. I had a good night's sleep. The breakfast is nice, with plenty of options. The only thing I would add is if the cooked items could be a little hotter. But overall a very enjoyable stay and I would come back

Absolutely spot on. Great location just off Castlegate roundabout, easy to get to off the parkway. Top tip; If you are coming in off the parkway get in the second right lane ("ponds forge") to go onto the roundabout and follow it round. Don't get off too early and go up the hill into town! To walk into the city centre go left out the door (not right) and up the side street. Way easier than messing around with sketchy flights of stairs (especially in the dark). Takes about 10 minutes. Parking, just park next door at q-park and pay in advance. All number plate recognition. We didn't get food but we did have a nice quiet drink in the bar/restaurant area and it all seemed nice. The staff were friendly and helpful and there were plenty about. The rooms themselves were great. Ours had a nice view of Park Hill. It was warm at night and the shower had good water pressure and was very spacious. The mattress was not too soft and the pillows were just right for me. Tip: there are multiple usb connectors on the main table plugs so it doesn't matter if you forgot a plug.
