My room was big, lot of light despite the weird shape of the windows. I was located in a room above the pub behind the hotel, and despite the noise, it wasn't too awful. Had a really nice view of the buildings on Maid Marian Way and made me feel like I was back home. The room was clean, and I liked the layout of the bathroom. Initially had a problem with the light but I just needed to press the button a bit harder. The breakfast was good, I would've liked a cob for my sausage and bacon, but the availability of croissants made up for it. All in all, I'd stay again.

I've found my favourite hotel in Nottingham! Excellent views, beautiful room. Can't beat the location and price. Will definitely stay again. Should cost more than it did, value for money in the current climate. Friendly staff and clean hotel. It's got that lovely fresh smell, and there's free lemon/mint water at reception. 24/7 bar with food. Feel like I'm on holiday, keep up the fabulous work Ibis!

An odd place this, firstly you have to park in the pay to park Lace market, would have been £21 but they validate your parking so £16. Tried ringing 8 times through the day to find out about parking, also currently it’s covered in scaffolding with no IBIS sign except for the one on top of tescos roof, had to ring to find out how to get in. People are great and really helpful rooms are clean and tidy but design / layout is OK but soulless, however quiet and good nights sleep was had and a reasonable breakfast in the rate.

I have stayed at this hotel twice and generally always found the hotel to be good, with an excellent location to the Nottingham trams and the railway station - but this time the reception staff seemed confused and didn't really seem to know what they were doing. Room was in good state and clean, good soundproofing on the window as Nottingham is a very noisy place night and day.

Such a great stay. The moment we walked through the door to leaving it was all smiles from the staff. Our room was clean and we were even left a personalised greeting card and cookies, which was a nice touch. Perfectly situated in the centre of Nottingham and within 10-15 minutes of most things you could wish to visit in the city. Great stay!

Was clean and fairly spacious. Good value for money. Only trouble was parking as you had to pay for a 24 HR parking ticket inside one of the multistorey carparks. In a great area. Plenty of shops near by for food and drinks.

Brilliant location – Tesco is right next door, and Lace Market car park is just across the road. If you’re using public transport, the tram stops right outside, making it very convenient to get here. Surprisingly nice view from the higher floors, shame the large terrace they have isn’t being used. Would be a good spot for a rooftop bar to watch the sunset. The staff were great throughout, and the breakfast was enjoyable, with a good variety on offer. The pastries and bread were particularly well done. On the downside, the hotel itself is showing its age. It’s an older Ibis and is in need of a refresh —stained “carpet,” chipped furniture, and broken blinds give it a tired appearance. There are no USB ports or sockets by the bed, no fridge, and no wardrobe. I think the TV is the smallest I’ve ever seen. The bathroom is a cruise ship-style pod, which is both slippery and creaky. Reception does triple duty as the bar and kitchen, which is a bit odd, and the elevator sounded as though it was colliding with the floors on the way down—slightly unsettling! It’s not great to drive to, and there are some questionable characters lingering nearby, but that’s more of a Nottingham city centre issue than the hotel’s fault. Overall, it’s a decent choice for a budget hotel in a great location. Comfortable enough for short stays.

Very friendly and helpful staff as always. The cooked breakfast is a little bland, the scrambled eggs particularly. Canned wine was not a good idea.

Stayed in several rooms here over the last few weeks, fabulous, however currently staying in room 219, the room was cold, but the 'heating' system was constantly blowing cold air, contacted reception, who kindly came to see, but was unable to help, really disappointed ,£285 for three nights in a cold room, was going to book a longer stay over Xmas and new year, but reconsidering now.

Perfect location for city centre activities. Good value. Lovely toiletries. Great value. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. My only complaint was that the WiFi wouldn't connect to my phone *or* my tablet, which was odd, because I had no problem in the summer. The staff and even the IT technician couldn't explain it. This was annoying because it meant I had to use my mobile data in the hotel. I connected to WiFi in cafés, pubs and the shopping centre, so there wasn't an issue with my phone or tablet. It was just the Ibis WiFi that was the problem. I kept getting an error message saying the connection wasn't secure. It was inexplicable.

Room was fine but not set up for my needs (kiddie bed was out so no desk but not a real bother). Good bed n pillows, bathroom small but just fine. Sadly shower head support was broken so showering a bit of a challenge for a 6ft + man, but manageable. Parking extra at £15 in Lace Market so factor that in. Good central location 👍. It does hence come with tram noise which ran right outside. Noisy aircon for heating n cool but nothing crazy.

I was living in Nottingham in a shared house with 3 more people. Everything was good at the start but at some point the agent that was responsible for the house left and someone else took over. He was terrible. He caused so much anxiety to the tenants, he wasn’t replying fast enough to our queries even when we moved out, he was trying to charge tenants about damages they didn’t do, he charged rent to my flatmate that was changing from one room to another when he said to her no need to return the key from the previous room when she suggested it. The cherry on top was that he was turning off the heating every time he was showing the house to someone. And we had a lot of visits lately. Personally he caused me so much anxiety I was walking on eggshells and I couldn’t wait to move out so I don’t have to deal with him. I should have raised a complaint but I couldn’t deal with more stress. On a more positive note I got lucky and I got almost my full deposit back. The agent we had when I first moved in was great! I havent seen a better agent than her in my life.

Old and tired and everything seemed faded. Not sure what denomination it was focusing on. Vague and without staff. Not going to rush back but large enough stock to satisfy those looking for a few different things. Not terrible but not that great either. Bit like the purgatory material.
