Came here for years and it used to be amazing. Since the reopening it’s Slow Service, food is dead the stew chicken tastes like jerk and the pepper steak is bland. So many better options within 15 minutes from here.

My partner and I travelled from Preston, as he saw the place on Instagram. So welcoming and the portions were very filling and delicious. I had the beef and my partner had the curry goat. The meat just melted in your mouth. Had sides of rice and peas, salad and mac and cheese. It was worth the journey.

We recently. ordered food from Jerk Junction in Chorlton for a Family Event. The food was amazing. In particular the Brown Rice, Peas and jerk chicken and Brown Stew. Also ate food in the Jerk Junction on a recent visit in cholton. The Staff were outstanding. Warm and Welcoming.

Absolutely spot on..I came all the way from Leeds and this was the 1st and only recommendation...The food was very delicious I got the jerk chicken rice and peas mac and cheese and it was plentiful .. I tried the curried goat but there were so many other delicious sides that I wanted to try like plantain, dumplings, steamed vegetables and chips. What I had was more than enough I will be visiting again for sure

Lunch with the family, a variety of dishes were chosen, jerk chicken with rice and peas, curry goat, chips, salad, steamed veg and a fried dumpling. Also had a slice of the delicious banana cake. The main meals were well portioned, cooked tenderly and enjoyed by all, even had the very strong Rum slush too😂. I would have given 5 stars if salad the had more dressing and I had been given more steamed veg or the option to have fish. The staff were very polite and served with a smile.

Absolute love this Caribbean takeaway the food they serve is very authentic as my partner is Jamaican and cooks me curry goat, stew chicken, jerk chicken and a lot of other Caribbean cuisines the traditional way. And I have been to a few different Caribbean takeaways and the taste of their food taste very mass produced where I can honestly say here at jerk Junction in Charlton it tastes very traditional and very nice. And I travel an hour to get to here but it is well worth the travel. Or I make a point of going when I'm in Manchester the lady who served me last time I went in was called Sheree hair customer service was 100% brilliant very very knowledgeable about the food they serve and had a lovely persona about her made you feel very comfortable and welcome in there. would recommend anybody to go to this Caribbean takeaway. If I could give it six + stars I would 😋😋

We used Jerk Junction for part of the catering as well as a Nigeria Outlet. This was for the reception which was held, after the church and the cemetery service. The occasion was for the funeral of my mother who had passed away on the 13th February 2025. The food was delivered to Syro Malabar Community Centre, Plymouth Grove in Manchester. The food was delivered on time and to highest professional standards. We really wanted a Caribbean flavour for the day. The order consisted of Jerk Chicken and a rice and peas amongst other foods. The food was fresh, tasty and succulent and all my family and friends, have been talking for days about how good the quality of food was and the service. If you are using Jerk Junction for solo or small orders to big occasions such as a wedding or funeral reception, catering for many people. I would definitely recommend as Jerk Junction offer a first rate service and you will not be disappointed. 👏👏

I'd just moved in nearby and had finished painting all day to finish my evening with a meal from jerk junction. A first time for me. And oh my, the flavours of curried chicken stew was unreal - so deep in flavor and spice it hit a part of my taste satisfaction I didn't know was there!! Highly recommend this place, and from my point of view, a very authentic one too. I'll be back.

Jerk Junction Trafford centre. Just overrated and overpriced food. Not worth the journey or the money. Jerk chicken maybe better than the old dry fries chicken. Picture below chips and two pieces of not appetising pieces of chicken. Would not recommend nor would l return to buy there ever.

Great restaurant, visited Manchester for the day from London, wanted to see if this restaurant was up there with the great carribean restaurant in London Definitely YES, food was tasty well seasoned , great flavour., a very tasty dish. Vibe, atmosphere on point with a nice selection of music. I had jerk chicken boneless with rice and peas and plantin on the side, Exceptional , will defo be telling my friends when they visit manchester!

We were just in Chorlton for the weekend and were craving some Caribbean food - this really hit the spot! We ordered the curry goat with half rice/half chips, coleslaw, mac & cheese and plantain. Curry goat was packed with flavour, really well spiced and tender. Pleasantly surprised by the coleslaw - I’m not usually a fan but the slaw was still crunchy, not overly heavy and had a nice kick to it, which made it a great accompaniment to the mains. Portions were good size and service was really friendly. We came on a Saturday night and the place was busy, so be prepared to maybe line up for a bit - but worth the wait!

After visiting my mate I had a long drive home to the Cotswolds and wanted something to keep me going. I had been feeling something with a bit of spice and he recommended Jerk Junction. We went in and the place was a bit dark inside, however that doesn't take away from the quality. I ordered the Jerk Chicken with rice and peas and also a dumpling. My mate got some plantain. As it was nearing the end of the night the server gave us the dumpling and plantain for free as he said they weren't the freshest, but was happy to make some up for us if we wanted, I had to hit the road so didn't take the offer to cook fresh. When I did tuck into the food it was unbelievable, the spice hit just right, a perfect blend of sticky, sweet with the heat to give it some flavour. The portion was big too, so I saved some for the next day and even then it was just as good! The dumpling and plantain were a bit on the hard side so maybe I should've got them fresh, but I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area.

So I kinda hate do this considering it's the food I grew up on but went to jerk junction with my freinds yesterday and we bought 3 meals wasn't loads of food but ended up coming up to 76 quid and ngl I wouldn't of minded If it was good but the food was so average probably because I've been cooking it myself all my life and I know how to cook it better but I get peppered stake and the sessions was so off and no veggies and one dumpling then my freinds got curried goat and there was the same no veggies in the mix and it wasn't even on the bone plus or mac an cheese was super over cooked it was just mushy and the plantain was so bland I will never return to this place unfortunately but hopefully the can learn from there mistakes considering carrabien food it's amazing when you get it right hopefully there sticking to there organial recipes .Overall id give it 4/10 especially for the price

What can I say but Thanks for the flavours 🤣 unreal food and lovely staff even though I kept adding to my order and ended up ordering about 8 meals there wasn't a issue , this is the only Jamaican food shop outside London worth eating from , proper tings 🏆💯🔥

After ordering jerk chicken on a bed of fries and a lamb patty my food wasn’t what it seemed . Patty pastry was hard round the edges and fries was hard like they were never cooked I haven’t tried the jerk chicken yet as I am upset to the fact this put me of straight away was quiet looking forward to this takeaway as I did a 9 o’clock shift to 9 at night very disappointment never again

Really nice food but very expensive for what what you get. 2 Dishes (Peppered Steak & Jerk Chicken) and 1 Drink. £34!! Service is brilliant from staff and well looked after.

The food was amazing, the chicken was juicy and filled with flavours.

No tap water available for my 2 year old, they made us buy a bottle. Toilets need a key to access, we were told that they were out of order. Pretty shocking for a restaurant not to offer water or toilets. Food was good, but £13.50 for food served in a plastic tray isn’t good value.

This was the best soul food Iv had in a long time , if not the best. The jerk is actually smoked and BBQ ‘d to perfection with a crispy skin. The pepper steak literally melts in your mouth. Rice and peas on Point. I would definitely recommend this place, and def no1 in Manchester if not uk. Well done guys, food to be truly proud of. Just been back today (11/1/25) after it has re-opened and it didn’t disappoint. Dare I even say the jerk chicken has even improved which is some achievement given how good it was. It was an eating in capacity which is very useful if you want to eat it straight out of the kitchen , fresh and hot. I stand by my previous statement that this is by far the best Caribbean food I’ve tasted. Looking to forward to the new franchise in Trafford centre as well.

Simple menu and a queue of people immediately signalled everything was waiting for. Jerk chicken with half rice n peas and fries with a pot of their homemade hot sauce. It's one of the best meals I've had. This high quality and honest food!!

Really good food. Healthy, tasty and a lot of variation. Would be a 5 star but a few things: - A bit overpriced for me. - Every order served in plastic containers, even if you're eating in... Just buy some metal containers and silverware. I don't want to waste that much every time I eat.

Really enjoyed the Curried chicken was very authentic Jamaican food, and not to mention the Rum Cake. Service from Josh was exceptional and he helped us choose which dish to have, I was also tempted by the Jerk chicken but I will definitely be visiting again. Overall thank you for some lovely delicious food and my belly is full

Avoid giving your money to Jerk Junction, not only because it’s over priced, but owner Jake Shaffi and operations manager Joe are not good people. Jerk Junction is a shambles and I saw many customers complaining about how Jerk Junction has commercialised and no longer care for their customers. There are plenty of better Caribbean food shops like Kool Runnings, Sasa’s, and Buckles and Jerdine that are run by good, honest, hard working people. I enquired about any part-time vacancies to run alongside my master’s degree and made a verbal agreement with Joe to undertake a 2.5 hour paid trial shift. I attended the trial shift, and was supervised by Rachel who was friendly. The owner, Jake Shaffi, visited the shop during my trial shift with the attitude of an arrogant 16yo boy, he refused to acknowledge me (a potential employee) despite Rachel and myself making genuine attempts. It was very strange behaviour, he appeared to be intimidated by my presence because he’s a slim man, and I have an athletic build. I performed well and Rachel said she would report back to Joe who would be in touch. I didn’t get paid on the night because Joe wasn’t working, although he previously informed me he would be there. Since the trial shift Joe has misled me with phone calls and messages about the outcome , stating the feedback was “amazing”, requesting my university timetable, and informing me he would call, but not taking any action. Now 2 weeks later I still haven’t been paid or received a response. Moral of the story, owner Jake Shaffi and ops manager Joe are unpleasant people. I recommend you spend your money in the other Carribean food shops where the people are much nicer, and the food is cheaper and tastier.

I was shocked at how good it was. The fries were cooked fresh and the chicken was moist and fantastically seasoned. The jerk gravy was so good I could drink it. Price was perfect for what I got and I'll be going back.

I've been there twice since the reopening. For me the food is too spicy to enjoy (and too much clove in the mix) and overpriced. Also, it's the only take away I've been to in recent months that still unashamedly uses single-user plastic trays rather than recyclable takeaway containers. The place has a nice and clean interior now, so pleasant vibe. The chicken tastes really good too. But the jerk sauce is just not right. I enjoyed it more before the reopening.

I am absolutely APPALLED by the level of disrespect staff have faced from the so called manager “RACHEL.” I recently visited jerk junction and was shocked by how the manager treated the staff. I witnessed them speaking down to employees in front of customers, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. The staff looked visibly distressed, which ruined the dining experience. While the food was decent, the lack of respect for the team was appalling. I won't be returning. Such horrible establishment will not be receiving my money . I will be letting others know about this .

I hired Jerk Junction for a corporate function and, my goodness, did they deliver! The food was INCREDIBLE, everyone said so, and the staff were responsive and friendly. The curried goat all went, the plantain was to die for and the jerk chicken rice & peas was particularly tasty. Absolutely faultless service - I cannot recommend highly enough!

Visited here today after a few years and I was really pleased with the service this place delivered! The food options were excellent and all looked so authentic and home cooked (which is the best) The service from the staff was amazing and they were so friendly and welcoming! Prices were Steep but it was worth it because of the service received and the food tasted GOOOOOODD and big portions! I ordered the Oxtail & Rice and peas and a few extras! Definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon!
