Only popped in for some jerk chicken to take home, the staff were friendly and the food was excellent a real authentic taste 👏

Chicken was undercooked and tastes of dunns river seasoning. Not what it used to be like. Was looking forward to it reopening and how disappointing the food has become. Will have to stick to cool runnings in the future. Becoming to commercialised and can tell by how the food has gone down

Jerk chicken was tasty but has gotten too pricy. 13.50 is too much for what it is. Also, the portion sizes seem to have gotten slighty smaller. Nice food, but too pricey 13.50 is way too much

Food was small very small. Prices were crazy Wings needed to be air fried once home Mac n cheese was not the best Spring roll was full off meat n cheese or flavour Overrated used to be good!!!

I've been there twice since the reopening. For me the food is too spicy to enjoy (and too much clove in the mix) and overpriced. Also, it's the only take away I've been to in recent months that still unashamedly uses single-user plastic trays rather than recyclable takeaway containers. The place has a nice and clean interior now, so pleasant vibe. The chicken tastes really good too. But the jerk sauce is just not right. I enjoyed it more before the reopening.

I am absolutely APPALLED by the level of disrespect staff have faced from the so called manager “RACHEL.” I recently visited jerk junction and was shocked by how the manager treated the staff. I witnessed them speaking down to employees in front of customers, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. The staff looked visibly distressed, which ruined the dining experience. While the food was decent, the lack of respect for the team was appalling. I won't be returning. Such horrible establishment will not be receiving my money . I will be letting others know about this .

So so happy to have visited again! Food was even better ☺️ Had the Bing Tingz meal as you can have two protein’s. It was delicious. Staff are lovely as always and so made up you are back again at Chorlton ❤️

Me and my mum visited yesterday for the first time and got some take out. I had curry goat which was very spicy and lovely soft chunks of meat. Mum enjoyed her food and she is very fussy. Service was good. Definitely be back.

I hired Jerk Junction for a corporate function and, my goodness, did they deliver! The food was INCREDIBLE, everyone said so, and the staff were responsive and friendly. The curried goat all went, the plantain was to die for and the jerk chicken rice & peas was particularly tasty. Absolutely faultless service - I cannot recommend highly enough!

Visited here today after a few years and I was really pleased with the service this place delivered! The food options were excellent and all looked so authentic and home cooked (which is the best) The service from the staff was amazing and they were so friendly and welcoming! Prices were Steep but it was worth it because of the service received and the food tasted GOOOOOODD and big portions! I ordered the Oxtail & Rice and peas and a few extras! Definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon!

food poisoning ...had jerk chicken from.here friday night charged me £7pound for two piece off jerk chicken chips and jerk sauce whent home eat haif after 2 to 3 hours belly cramps and runny stool .Been ill since then its saturday night got fever and belly hurting and the runs all night and day ......bad gaff ...foods not cooked right or fresh 🤷🏽‍♂️🤢🤕🤕 ....aka BELLY FUNCTION

Tye's cooking at Salford Quays Jerk Junction was superb. Loved the Jerk chicken with a side of dumplings. Not too spicy, dumplings were perfectly crisp, good portion, chicken was juicy and falling off the bone. Sublime!

absolutely love both the altrincham and chorlton kitchens. such amazing food and lovely people. drive so far to eat here as often as i can!!! the curried goat and jerk chicken are outstanding.

Ordered food online they took my money, went to pick up and the place was not open. It was like a building site. Can’t get hold of anyone for a refund. Tried calling them so I have contacted my bank.

Used to eat here regularly but recently this place has really gone down in my estimation… I get that we are in tough times and everyone has to make a living but this place is literally bending people over it’s gone so expensive £14 for 1 meal (chicken, rice & peas and a dumplin) you can get 2 for that price from other Caribbean outlets, don’t get me wrong, the packaging and presentation have improved immensely but it’s still very overpriced , 1 style bbq gravy 🤨 not everyone likes bbq, there used to be a choice you get charged extra for not having it on your meal it’s classed as a side 🤷🏻 very disappointing ☹️

We went here this evening as we have no decent Caribbean food locally, and we were not disappointed! Food was incredible! So so tasty and amazing size potions. We literally ordered half the Menu after reading the reviews and wanting to try everything. And if the food wasnt good enough the staff are absolutely lovely. Super friend and super sweet. Thanks for the gravy and drink your too cute. Will be back soon to ry the other half of the menu 😅😋 1000% recommend x

Its been a few years since we last came as its not really local to us and a lot has changed. I love the new seating area, it looks great, and I love the way the food is presented. The food looks and tastes great. 😋 totally gonna visit again soon.

Spontaneous visit as I was driving past Manchester and saw this place on Tiktok. It definitely lives up to the hype. Tasty, good portion size and quick service. Highly recommend Parked on a nearby side road and walked (1 min walk)

Food was really nice, portion size really good. Waited about 40 mins for our order then told they had run out of wings they we're happy to replace with something else however nothing was ready so just got a refund, which they were happy to do. Nice venue, staff were friendly, food presentation spot on. Will go back for sure but will pre order well in advance of collecting.

We've been past Jerk Junction countless times but never dined there for some reason. We decided to stop by before the Arctic Monkeys gig last night and it was everything we expected. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The staff were really helpful and engaging, the whole experience was excellent. One minor gripe was that we ordered and weren't served until quite a bit after people that ordered after us. There may have been a reason for this but it didn't negatively affect our experience. Cannot recommend highly enough. If you're in Manchester, make the trip. Well worth it.

The best jerk chicken I’ve ever had and lovely atmosphere

Been coming here for years. It used to be one of the best Caribbean takeaways in Manchester. Since it's been taken over in the past couple of years it has changed for the worse, prices have gone up and food quality has gone down. I ordered fried chicken and it used to be on the bone - drumsticks and thighs in their own coating. Now it's chicken goujons/breast that tastes like something from the frozen food aisle of a supermarket. The jerk gravy is also not nice. This is not authentic Caribbean food. The place seems more obsessed with its Instagram image and maximising profits than serving decent food. It needs to go back to its roots. The other local Caribbean takeaways are much better. Disappointing.

Excellent tasty food. We had a jerk chicken and a goat curry. The portions are large, and good value. I must advise customers to have a pot of gravy with each dish. The jerk chicken dish contained a leg of chicken, which can be picked up with both hands. It was a bit like being back at my mother's' house, enjoying lovely home cooking. How often do restaurants serve a leg of chicken, the tastiest part of the bird? They never do, these days, it seems. Certainly the swanky ones don't, with their armies of chefs wearing tall white hats. They don't even buy in whole chickens very often. It's usually pieces of breast. We will definitely be returning to Jerk Junction.

This is the most authentic Caribbean cuisine in Manchester. There food is so delicious, well seasoned, and good choice options. Every thing I’ve tasted so far is on point. My most favorite is the jerk chicken meal and I always order it with a slice of cake.

The manager tried to accuse me of putting a fake review despite the fact that I have eaten here. Absolutely terrible attitudes from all staff, food is massively overrated and management can't handle criticism. Music and atmosphere isn't nice at all. Xoxo

Myself and my mate Mark visited jerk junction on a Sunday afternoon. This is my second visit to this eatery. The food is that good, I took my mate who likes Caribbean food. I ordered curry 🍛 goat 🐐 and Mark had brown stew. Both our meals were really tasty and good-sized portions. The food is some of the best Caribbean food I've eaten, and well worth the travel from Liverpool that we made. The staff are really friendly and they served us promptly. Prices are reasonable. You can either take away or dine in. It's a rustic place, but nevertheless, it was nice to sit and eat our meals 😋 on site. If you're in the area and like authentic Caribbean food, pop into jerk junction 😋

The amount of food you get for the price is well expensive. You can go for a nice restaurant for that and get more. I got only one leg of the chicken and some rice for £10+ . The staff was a bit rude too. I normally don't review anything places but I was greatly disappointed ☹️

I order from these guys all the time now. Every time I have ordered the food has been absolutely unreal. Amazing. Fresh, unbelievably tasty. I order loads so I can have it for a few days. Please don't change anything in your method because you are absolutely spot on. The only bit of feedback I can give is that there have been a couple of mistakes with our orders. But because the food is so good, I don't even care!

10/10 for food. I've been coming here every time I've been in Manchester now for over 5 years and it never disappoints. Turned up this week to see it had been given a tidy reno and nice little seating area and gladly obliged. All those people gassing about prices going up need to have a reality check: there has been a global pandemic which killed half the indie restaurants; there has been an unprecedented rise in energy costs which is killing the other half of the indie restaurants and, crucially, this place was always too reasonably priced anyway! £16 for (a lot of) jerk chicken, rice and peas, gravy, lamb patty, dumpling and ginger beer is not expensive by any standard, especially at the very high standard here. Would recommend to anyone.

Went yesterday this place is not the same anymore the portions are half the size the jerk chicken was over cooked the gravy was just about ok rice 6/10 overall I will not be coming back had to wait 30 mins it opens at 12 got my food at 12.30 I’ve been coming here for about 5years so it’s a true review ☹️

Taste of the jerk chicken was elite. Chips, rice, lemon & herb wings, and sauces weren't great, neither was the service. But on my list of priorities, flavour of the mains is always on top.

I’ve been here countless amounts of times over the years and never disappointed always loved the food! But since there’s been changes made (change of ownership?) it’s not as good! My last few meals have been good but tonight’s food was not. The rice was like mush hardly any kidney beans. The meat was good although the it’s now strips of steak it used to be chunks. Just disappointed we were looking forward to this meal!

Arrived at around 8pm which is late for a Caribbean restaurant and of course most things sold out plus they were reopening so had a few busy days prior I had the scotch bonnet wings and seasoned fries The wings were amazing you get exactly 5 decent sized wings cut in half with a lovely sauce I was expecting it to be a little hotter with a spicy kick but was more on the sweet side the presentation was top tier too! The seasoned fries for £2.40 had no seasoning on But overall a good friendly service had to wait a little bit the wings were worth it but for £8.50 I would have rather had a dinner but they were all sold out Go early as this is a popular spot!!

Poor service! We had to wait over 1 hour for our food for it then to come with one meal not having any chips or an extra pot of gravy, then to find another meal missing rice and not having any curried chicken gravy on it which we asked for! Then to have to wait even longer for them to correct the order to then give me my order back without any rice again! Not once did they apologise or offer anything for the inconvenience of us waiting all that time and for them to get our order wrong multiple times. I do not normally write any type of review but for them to have just done a relaunch you would expect everything to be perfect. Oh and to add to all of this they didn’t have any rice and peas or dumplings, I go here all the time and I definitely will not be returning.
