Great staff and atmosphere. The best pub on the Otley run

Very pleasant staff, plenty of seating, quick service, two men's toilets, reasonable beer prices. Beer garden at the front. Food available.

Hyde Park is a great little place, their student deals are great, really good price, and its on Neck Oil! Didn't have food this time, but I'm gonna come back for the Wing Wednesday thing for sure.

Great space and patio! As a foreigner, I was stuck at an Airbnb without a wifi password. I ordered a cider (5.50?) and tried to use the WiFi, but their system requires confirmation from my email or whatsapp....which still requires access to WiFi, which again....I didn't have! So annoying. However, this lovely bartender mapped out directions for me to take photos of (from her phone) to get around. Very kind. Little acts of kindness go a long way and I am now very compelled to go back every time I am in the area.

While the Hyde Park Hotel offers a delightful ambiance and a commendable selection of drinks, I regret to say that the food, particularly the peri peri chicken, leaves much to be desired. On my previous visit, I found the food to be quite pleasant, but my recent daytime experience was disappointing. It seems the chef may not give due attention during quieter periods. I paid £11 for the peri peri chicken, but aside from the fries and corn, everything else on the plate was subpar. The chicken was hard, undercooked, and the salad was stale. This meal was a waste of money and I cannot recommend it.

Thank you so much for having us today... I rang them asking if they were showing the old firm, they said they put it on for me even though they wasn't showing it. I came here tonight with my friends. We ordered food and cocktails. Reasonably priced and delicious food would recommend 10/10. Cheap cocktails on Thursday

Came in at 8.40, kitchen is said to be open till 9, asked for food and was told it’s shut. After asking why it says it’s supposed to be open till 9. They said it closes at half 8. Shouldn’t be allowed to make up times of whenever they feel like they should close it’s ridiculous and unfair. Wouldn’t recommend.

The food is great, the service is fast, and if you're a student there are amazing deals. Atmosphere on a Saturday during otley run hour is out of this world.

My daughter was nearing the end of her first 'Otley Run' and so calling at the Hyde Park was necessary. Upon entering the pub she was set about by a female member of the bouncer team who seemed to think it perfectly fine to patronise and belittle her by making out she was deaf. She doesn't have a hearing problem but due to the loud music was unable to hear the staff. The fact that the bouncers were sat at a table (not standing by the doors where you'd expect them to be) she was unaware that she couldn't simply enter the building. The 'woman' then proceeded to belittle her and refused to return her ID until she had got her to say that she was deaf. Of the other Headingly pubs my daughter visited that evening none of the other door staff had been so obnoxious, patronising, or rude. This is the kind of behaviour that gives other more considerate bouncers a bad name. She had never been in the Hyde Park before. If this is the way all customers are welcomed it's a wonder they have any at all!

Food took a long time to arrive bit was very nice. The actual place was freezing we had to leave our coats on to eat.

Had an amazing experience here, all around good vibes. Staff are great and really friendly. Food is really nice and they have some nice drinks on offer.

Ellie looked after us really well on our bottomless brunch! She was very attentive and gave us bottles of prosecco for the table which was really nice, looked after us really well. The food was lovely, I would go back for the Quorn burger which was really nice. Good value for £26 but worth upgrading the cocktails for a bit more variety.

I really like this pub and it’s food. Recently, however, every time we’ve popped in, we’re told the kitchen is closed, no matter what time we’re going in. On two instances, about 45 mins later, somebody else has managed to order food and it’s coming to their table. There seems to be very unpredictable and unadvertised kitchen times and/or a lack of communication between the kitchen and bar staff… staff on the bar usually say they’re not sure if the kitchen is open or not themselves. The drinks and service are obviously great, and student deals take the nasty edge of some off the prices - just a shame their good food is so inaccessible, it would probably help sales also to make these kitchen times as clear as possible to everybody.

As a casual none student drinking this place is expensive, without student deals. They prefer students and ignore local trade. It’s a bit of a dive now.

I found it easier trying to book an appointment at my local GP than it was trying to get a drink here… 10 minutes waiting at the bar before I was acknowledged… not impressed, not impressed at all

One of the most MAGICAL places I have been to in my entire life. The building has lovely chairs and carpets... I felt like a little rat in an experiment cage spoilt for choice. When i am sad this is a great place to raise my spirits.

Got abused by the bouncers. Part of the "ottley pub watch" where any bouncer who had something against you can inform (/be informed) the rest of Leeds not to allow you into their pub for any action/persona they disagree with.

4 Stars only because the pinball machine has desappeared. We want it back!!!

Love love love this place! Mainly because of the safe and friendly vibe, local people blended with local students and the staff are so awesome! Proper hard workers who deserve a pay rise in my eyes! Recommend!!

We decided to visit here for tea as the bar wasn't that busy. But they catered more for students and thought more about them than other customers. Was told food was 30 minutes wait for others to be served before us that seemed to be all students. When asked how long further wait for food the bar staff had a terrible attitude towards me and refused to give a refund. When the food finally arrived it wasn't fully correct either and certainly not the best quality for the price. Only visited here as was close to where I was visiting but won't be visiting again after this experience.

Went for bottomless brunch and had the best time. Food was amazing and they were fast with drinks so you get your money worth’s. The price was amazing as well compared to other places in the city centre. We got two bottles of Prosecco as well as cocktails within the two hours. Would 100% recommend and will be coming back
