Hung Wan in Angus

Travelling 25 miles for a Chinese takeaway may seem a bit extreme, but this is one the few establishments that is consistently good. Been good since I was wee. George is a national treasure.

Me and my local friend went for a trip to Hung Wan this evening. We went to buy chips for our tea. They cost £1.80. Very good chips. Mr. C. George put a bit too much salt and vinegar on them though so they were very soggy. Overall very good. I had to go back in and ask for a fork and that cost 10p. George kept us occupied as usual. Very nice man! George also gave us the local newspaper to eat our chips from so we got a read of the local news too! Highly suggest Hung Wan for your dinner.

Hung Wan is an amazing place to get your food. Very quick cooking and fast delivery times. The owner, George is a very friendly man and always keeps me busy. Highly recommend Hung Wan!

We've been visiting Hung Wan for many years. It is run by husband and wife team. The food is really very good, with prompt service and reasonably priced. This is our preferred Chinese takeaway in Carnoustie.

The food is always fresh and delicious. George entertains you while you wait for your food. Never ever had a complaint with any food from here, the portions are generous sized.

Excellent food and the best bit is they do small portions for pensioners like us. Havent come across this before. The BEST Chinese we've EVER had. Will def. go back if we are in that area.

If your looking for a cracking chinese meal well visit George at the Hung wan....food is perfect ..piping hot and plenty to fulfill your palate..delivery service is fast and prompt and the owner George if you decide to collect will gas away with you till food ready ..real homely Chinese and anything is no problem

Ordered takeaway the other night. It arrived within fifteen minutes! And was all cooked well so no issue there. Really enjoyed the meal.

I absolutely love the chicken chow mein and the owner is brilliant about leaving off onions. The portion sizes are huge for the price and there's lots of great extras as well. Whenever I'm buying a chinese, I always go to Hung Wan for the best tasting chinese, amazing prices and the wait for the food.

This is a great take away. Great food and fast service, I disagree with previous reviews as I love the chips here and would choose them over the local chippy! Portion sizes are large and would recommend.

Might not look like much from the outside but this is by far the best Chinese takeaway in Carnoustie. It is reasonably priced and fast at putting orders together. Friendly service also.
