Lacking flavour very disappointing 😞

Had a chicken curry and chips tonight and it was absolutely awful. The chips were brick hard and the chicken had hard bits in it. Obviously buy the cheapest of chips for them to be that bad and the chicken didn't taste good. Will never use them again.

Food was un edible in my opinion. The 'chicken' looked really odd. It was almost clear in colour. very very pale. I don't even want to think what was wrong with it. Even the spring rolls were un edible the whole lot had to be binned .. waste of money. Also meal was ready in around 3 minutes. Not a good sign. 😕

Food with sauces was very watery and I've never seen spam in a fried rice. Very much lacking in flavour across all 5 dishes. Won't be back but it was the only one open.

Chicken and ham spring roll is by far the best I’ve ever tasted. Plain spring roll is ENORMOUS! Young women serving were friendly

Don’t normally leave reviews, but was by far best chicken curry I’ve had from a takeaway. friendly staff, very clean takeaway and amazing food. Highly recommend

Best Chinese in Arbroath. Had the occasional meal where chicken was overcooked but 99% of the time it's spot on and the quality far outweighs all others nearby. Really wish they'd take card payments and have an online ordering option (even if it meant paying extra). So many people that don't carry cash that want to order in without having to go out. Otherwise no complaints.

Always use the Great Wall but was so salty could not eat it disgusting we did phone the place and was told they pass it on

Kind staff, but it was super busy. All the Arbroath people to come for chinese takeaway. And food was quite okay. Spring roll was crispy and chow mien noodle is good.

I love this place. Everything is great. The homemade chicken and ham spring rolls are to die for. The salt and pepper chips and chicken is amazing fast good food at a great price.

Just ordered food again from this Chinese and as yet again it all tasted amazing .. and girls behind the counter are lovely too .. will be back very soon .. if only you were nearer to Froickhiem lol

Monday evening takeaway. Just delicious! All 4 of us were delighted with our choices (crispy beef, chili chicken, sweet & sour chicken). Good portion sizes Will be back!

Acceptable Chinese for the rest of the family, unfortunately something in the food makes me ill.

I ordered a chicken Maryland and the chicken was cooked lovely but the rest of the meal was terrible, everytime I've ordered one from other places it has come with a bit of bacon and sausage but this one came with bacon grill which I personally can not stand the peas were barely cooked, still hard and the chips were rubbery very disappointing

Ordered a roast pork chow main Was just a plastic container of mush , no taste to it this was probably just put in container in microwave, no sign of any bean sprouts , returned this to be given grief from chef , he said he’s never had a meal returned, my wife got a beef curry which was the same think beef was boiled very disappointed, eventually after being abused by chef

Great food with friendly service and not too expensive. Big selection on the menu and also offers delivery at a fair price.

Staff nice, was hot, ready fast and tasted good. What more do you need.

Went to great wall after reading reviews on trip advisor, quick service, food was really nice, I personally found the chicken curry was my favourite love it really nice, don't think I would go else where now.

Ordered a special Fried rice, it was delicious haven't had one in ages, loved it.

Ordered a meal, munchie box ect £30 order, the munchie box was swimming in grease and the chicken balls, the chicken fried rice was the only decent thing will not be ordering again.

Food was ok, but sweet n sour was way too spicey like it have far to much vinegar in it.

Consistently the best Chinese takeaway in Arbroath.

Hit and miss. Been before and it's been great, other times it's below par. There are better Chinese around in my opinion.

Forgot curry sauce with order, no taste in salt & pepper chips and salt & pepper crispy chicken was as crispy as a wet tea bag

Always had good Chinese food from here when I lived near Arbroath.

Only a minor issue but concerned about taking meals back which have been half plated up. Order was replaced but was told to give back wrong order that had been plated up as I never noticed it was the wrong curry. I certainly wouldn't eat it after it has been plated up from a strangers house and surely this will not be given to another customer!! Out of good gesture and our inconvenience we should have been told to keep meal. So only answer would be to bin it. That's bad service and just greed.

We got a takeaway from Great Wall in the new year and yet again it was great! Occasionally we try the other takeaways but for a chow mein you can't beat this restaurant. Good variety of dishes, quick service and decent portions.

Enjoyed a takeaway. I did order garlic honey chicken, I suspect that she thought I had said garlic chilli chicken as the food was very spicy with chopped chilli.Very good though.

Had a few dishes from here now. We have tried a few other Chinese takeaways (none are great in Arbroath) but so far this is the best. King prawn foo yung is good and their salt & pepper chips aren't bad. Not keen on sweet and sour dishes but their curry is good. Overall I'd recommend the Great Wall if you really want a Chinese takeaway.

Hemos estado aquí dos veces, las dos veces que he tenido un pelo en mi comida y las dos veces el pollo estaba rosa. Después de pagar £17,00 por dos comidas se puede esperar la comida al menos estar caliente. No volveré a este hotel. Les he dado el beneficio de la duda de que la primera vez. No me gusta que no hacen comida precios ( patatas o arroz con main ) y no le gusta cómo la sal y pimienta pollo que ordené contenida 7 bits de cocer pollo y toneladas de verduras! Muy decepcionado.

As a treat we had chow mein from the Great Wall and it didn't disappoint. The beauty of this dish is that it's got plenty of sauce which is sometimes lacking at other takeaways. Delicious and good value!

The food is totally amazing and I would recommend everyone to try out this place. The price isn't bad either and the service is very quick.

Best Chinese in town. Quick delivery and all though the menu isn't as packed as others in town they are catching on and adding lots of new and tasty things to try.

Phoned for a delivery and was told it would be 45 minutes, after an hour of no food showing up called back and was told it's still in the shop and it's on its way , another half hour goes by so phone them to be told it's not even been cooked yet , cancelled the order and told them to shove it

Since moving to Arbroath last May I have tried nearly all of the Chinese takeaways and the Great Wall is my favourite! The service is always friendly and quick with amazing food! My particular fav is the beef chow mein which is fantastic!

A frequent 'can't be bothered cooking' choice for us due to speed, value, proximity to home and food quality. Always clean and efficient when you go in.

I wouldn't go back. The Chinese experience in Arbroath is so disappointing. I've given up going to Chinese restaurants and takeaways in Arbroath as there is not one that has any taste to it. It must take quite a talent to be able to get your food to taste so bland. Give it a miss

Had loads of meals from here never had a bad one yet. The delivery is always punctual and the food is of a good standard. Very polite service and a great selection of dishes on offer.

If you want a basic good value Chinese then this is the best in Arbroath . Have never been disappointed with any meal I have had and we usually have a takeaway from here at least twice a month ! They also do deliveries for a small charge !
