Booked this place for myself, my partner and some friends. The food and drinks are AMAZING, and the experience really lived up to our expectations of an authentic hot pot restaurant. The staff were attentive and pleasant. We are excited to return again. Thank you!

First time trying hotpot and it was delicious! The staff were really helpful in showing us what to do and were just all round very friendly. Even gave us a goodie bag at the end. Only marking down one star for atmosphere because we were the only ones there, but it was a Wednesday night so it's not that surprising.

I have been multiple times, booked and walk ins - THE BEST broths by far. The staff are super lovely and accommodating with allergens. Will keep going time and time again. Also a fun spot to bring kids as you get to cook which is interactive for them (done safely of course).

The crispy dumplings at Hotpot Spot were perfectly cooked! The outer layer had just the right amount of crunch, and the filling inside was juicy and packed with flavor. I had the pork, and they were absolutely delicious. The balance of crispy exterior and tender filling made each bite amazing. These dumplings are the perfect side to your hotpot meal—definitely worth trying!

I had an incredible time at Hotpot Spot! I tried the beef and ginger soup, and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was flavorful and comforting, with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. I had an amazing experience at Hotpotspot Restaurant! The Beef and Ginger Broth was perfectly aromatic, with a comforting warmth, while the Spicy Mala Broth delivered a bold, numbing kick for spice lovers. The seafood selection was incredibly fresh, with plump shrimp, tender squid. The highlight for me was the pork gyoza —crispy, golden, and filled with juicy, flavorful pork, paired perfectly with a tangy dipping sauce. The atmosphere was lively, and the interactive cooking made it so much fun. I highly recommend this spot for an unforgettable hotpot experience!

I’ve heard great things about this restaurant from friends and in visiting with my family we were not disappointed! The restaurant was full all evening so was glad we had booked in advance. The food was delicious and the staff super friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to our next visit already.

A very good place, won't pretend it's cheap but unique, flavourful food and great staff makes it worth it. We've brought multiple friends here. We had a mix up with ordering tonight, the staff were very apologetic and got us the correct food while giving us the incorrect food for free. Also the scallion pancakes were great

Went here with my friends for the first time!! The service was amazing and we were given clear instructions on how long each food would cook. On every table there's a place where you can scan a qr code and order what you want through there! Toilets were clean as well. Overall it was very fun and we all enjoyed our experience there :) Also don't underestimate the food portions, we got full pretty quickly BUT we were able to take our leftovers home which was super cool >_< Plus when we left we were given a bag full of sweets which was super sweet!! So yeah it was an amazing experience AND I WILL be coming here more often :3

Perfect friendly service and delicious food. Don't overlook the side dishes as these are also amazing - especially the biang biang noodles! Already want to go back.

It was my first ever hotpot experience and it was really fun. The staff were really polite and attentive, the broth was delicious, and they have a lot of halal meat options, which is great as well. Although it is a bit pricey, overall, I would highly recommend this place.

This is hands down the best restaurant experience I have had in the UK, the staff are so incredible, kind, helpful and didn't stop trying to make us feel welcome. The food was excellent at a fair price for the size and quality of the portions. I haven't managed to eat hotpot since living in China and I'm so happy that this place didn't let me down. It was my girlfriends birthday and I'd told them this ahead of time just so they would say happy birthday, but they also laid out a bannar and decorations at our table as well as a goodie bag filled with snacks! I would rather die than eat anywhere else the next time I'm in Cardiff and can't wait to be back :)

Incredible meal! A lovely atmosphere in a cozy setting with colourful lights, plants and a mural! The staff were lovely, attentive and keen to explain- especially as we hadn’t been to a hotpot place before. And the food!!!! Two gorgeous broths, a platter and some lovely side sauces- one of which was on the house. The staff topped up our broth for free as it was boiling low- which was very generous and the delicious-ness kept coming! Good for food waste too- we were able to take home any uneaten food. They sent us away with a little goodie bag of biscuits and sweets, which was incredibly sweet! Ultimately a really fun and special experience, in a lovely environment!!

Just finished our lunch here. It was great! The staff were very friendly (I came with my 5yo, and they were very friendly to him), the place is clean (they even have a charging spot at every table), and more importantly (I am so impressed!) that they have halal option properly done. They have separate set of kitchen appliances (yes, different refrigerator to store the meat) to handle halal meat. I felt so safe and comfortable eating there. The food was amazing! The lamb and beef were sliced just right. Not too thick nor too thin. The veggies are fresh. When we were about to pay, they even gifted us a goodie bag with snacks in it (again, each snack was halal). They are definitely thoughtful. It was fantastic!!!

Went in with my partner for some lunch. Had never been before. We went for the Tom Yum broth and the beef and ginger with gyiza, bao buns and the meat and veg set tray. The food was very good, healthy and didn't seem to bloat too much which is great! The lady who served us was very helpful and friendly and we even got a personalised goody bag to leave with. Would definitely recommend!

Been here a few times now and it always impresses. The satay broth is my new favourite and everything is such good quality.This place is especially good for the weather we’re having now. The gift bag you get at the end is such a lovely touch

The perfect autumn treat. Everything was great. We had the Tom yum broth and coconut one, both of which were absolutely delicious. Everything else was fresh, the service was excellent, and to top it off, they had halal options.

Don’t know what I was expecting walking in but I was rolling out of there with a smile on my face and a belly full of 10/10 food 🥘 🔥 fantastic atmosphere with the best customer service I’ve experienced in a while…they even gave us a goodie bag with a selection of treats on the way out. It’s the little things that make this place great, the food was delicious, free chargers at tables, a cool interior, I could go on n on. They will definitely be seeing us again soon.

Wonderful place for my mum’s birthday dinner. Service was excellent and they were really helpful - especially with a vegan, vegetarian and a non-spicy person trying to share hotpot! The food was incredible and we really enjoyed the experience, we particularly enjoyed fried tofu, sweet potato noodles, gyoza and spring rolls and the sesame sauce. The sauce portions were generous and really nice. All of the broths we tried - mushroom, mee-shay and satay were incredible and it was nice to be able to take the leftovers home. We’ll definitely be returning 😊

I think the standout positive for the restaurant is the service. We asked for recommendations and advice and it was delivered with a genuine desire for us to have an enjoyable meal: no recommending too many dishes or unnecessary extravagance. The vegetables, fish and meat that came out were fresh. The broths were tasty (not just for cooking the food but tasty enough to drink as a broth on their own). There's no pretension about the restaurant. It's a place to keep coming back to.

Fantastic place for being the only dedicated hot pot restaurant in Wales, the ingredients for.the hot pot were great, and the broth really stood out. The custom tables also added alot to the experiences just having everything on the table with no added bits. The service was excellent and if you've never had hot pot before this is a very accessible and friendly place to start.

Brought my partner here for her birthday and we both loved it! We expected it to be a little gimmicky but it was fun trying different meats in our broths and enjoying the subtle flavours as the broths reduced in their pots. The service was excellent, our waitress was polite and explained to both if us as we'd never been to a hotpot place before. It's a little pricier than your average Chinese, but honestly, I'd say it's well worth the price.

This restaurant is a must try. Super fresh, really tasty, generous portions and under priced. The service is impeccable; this is a casual place so you wouldn't expect it, but the staff are warm, kind and friendly. Every time I have been, something has happened to impress me about their conduct. On this occasion I had a napkin tucked into my shirt because it was white. One of the waiters offered me a clean apron so that I didn't stain it. They are amazing, go give it a try.

La primera vez que estaba allí con amigos que habían estado antes, es un lugar sin pretensiones que permite que la comida y el servicio hablen. Por lo general, no soy demasiado aficionado a los lugares que te hacen ordenar en tu teléfono ya que te quita el aspecto de servicio (trabajo hostelería) , pero en esta ocasión, funcionó mejor y el gran servicio seguía ahí. Tener que cocinar uno mismo parece una tarea, pero toda la experiencia es mucho más un evento social, especialmente con los chupitos de Soju. Gran comida, gran personal, sin pretensiones, y muy buen precio.

I have never had hotpot before besides the self-heating ones so I was very excited to try this. I’m not local to Wales but all the hotpot places in the north of England don’t serve vegetarian broths - I was so glad to find somewhere with a variety of vegetarian options! The servers were polite, you order on an app and the staff explained the process well. Also at the end, the staff gave me a goodie bag full of Asian snacks like pocky and matcha Oreos, which was a lovely personalised touch. It may be a few more years before I venture back to Cardiff but I will be sure to pay this place a visit when I’m back!

Pretty amazing place, hidden away a little on the first floor of a backyard. Very modern induction hotpot tables, a good variety of very fresh and high quality meats, fish, vegetables, sauces and broths. The whole place seems to be able to seat about 48 people, and due to the fully digitalized order system, about two servers are able to handle the full restaurant. Once you're done ordering, it takes little time for everything to be set up and the items to arrive. Drinks are great as well. The place could use a little sound treating as it can get quite loud, but that doesn't deter from the stellar quality. Update: 2nd time was just as good.

This was such a lovely meal. Great food, drinks, and service. Was even given a sweet note at the end with a selection of complimentary chocolate treats. Would definitely come again :)

This place is amazing! When we first got there we were seated. We were told you can order either through the QR code or we could order through a member of staff and everything was explained with how it works and what to expect. Our lovely waitress also made us a pot of her own special sauce that she uses to enjoy her hotpot and it was delicious and a kind thought! After everything we were handed a little goody bag with a note thanking us for our visit! It was sad to see the place empty and believe they should have much more custom!

A hidden gem. Food amazing. Staff are 5 star. Friendly and welcoming. If I could rate it 6 stars I would. When I walked in I thought is it going to be good or not. But it definitely excels in the food its serving - hot pot. Plus the band noodles I think they were called which are home made are out of this world if you like noodles. Best to come here and enjoy with a group of people. Or even as a couple. Will definitely be coming again. Stuffed! Thank you

A wonderful meal! Good selection of meat/seafood/veg with lovely broths and sauces. Also enjoyed the sides and drinks there. Would particularly like to thank our lovely waitress for her amazing service, extensive knowledge of the food & drink, friendliness and even the lovely handwritten note of thanks & calculating out each person’s portion of the bill at the end, all of which made our first time there so great.

This place is AMAZING!! If you’re in Cardiff, pleeeeease visit this place. It’s honestly the best hidden gem in the whole city. The soup is amazingly flavourful and the meat is tender, the gyoza are creamy and delicious and the bao buns are just perfect. Make sure to ask for the off-menu “chinese sauce mix”, which consists of sesame, soy and oyster sauce with crushed garlic and corriander and spring onions. ITS TO DIE FOR!!! The chicken broth tastes like a homemade chicken soup, and the tomato broth was amazingly flavourful with sour and salty notes. We got the meat and vegetable mix set tray, which came with beef and pork slices and a small selection of raw veggies. We also got a seafood item made with bamboo rolls and fish paste! It was amazing… definitely the best restaurant in Cardiff. The staff are amazingly kind, they go through the hotpot process very clearly, so you know exactly what to do. I would eat there every day if I could!! <333

We went for my wife's birthday and had a lovely time. It was our first time at a hot pot restaurant but the staff were very friendly and helped us with how it all works. They were even kind enough to give my wife a bag of snacks on our way out. Highly recommend you try them out :)

Lovely place. Amazing food and honestly great value for money. Plenty of halal options as well. It seemed they were understaffed for the night so the food was slightly late but they gave us a discount and free dessert - great service!

absolutely love coming here. i have been dozens of times now and would never get tired. service is so fast and the staff are always lovely. the peanut satay broth and fried/chewy tofu are my fave along with the bao. can't wait till my next visit

Fabulous Hot Pot. The only one in Wales we were led to believe. Broths are very tasty and a good quantity of meat and veg to dip in and enjoy. 😋

It was our first time, and the staff were clear at explaining how the hot pot situation worked. They were very accommodating for us having a child and buggy as well as for catering for a table split of vegans and omnivores; they were very considerate and made sure there wouldn't be a chance of cross contamination. Their menu is extensive and can cater well for all dietary requirements. I couldn't compliment enough how lovely the staff were from back in the kitchen to the front of house; they made us feel so welcome. To top it off, the food was fresh, tasted absolutely banging, and was an enjoyable experience for all of us. I will be coming back, I will be banging on about it to my friends!!

The food was delicious and such a creative idea.We were served by Mya who was absolutely wonderful and ensured we had everything we needed and even gave us a gift bag at the end with a lovely note. Simply fantastic. We went with a party of 5 and the server there was lovely and incredibly helpful to us hotpot newbies. They also had no problem at all with my nut allergy. Everything was delicious, fresh, and service was quick whilst also allowing us to stay for plenty of time to order additional dishes. They even gave us a wonderful goodie bag at the end for our first visit. We will undoubtedly be returning again, hopefully sooner rather than later.
