Whilst this is quite a nice little bar, the name of the establishment is a bit of a misnomer really as it no longer serves cask ale 😒

Great pub good atmosphere very friendly bar staff

Hop co is a normal place for us to go to for a day drink or night session. However we were falsely accused of damaging one for their booths. We were there for a drink or two and ended up in the booth next to their bar. Everything was fine and we left for another bar. Later on, one of their bar maid came across to the other bar we were at, accusing us of damaging one of their booth chairs whilst showing us a picture of it. We immediately refuted this. We explained that all we had were a couple of drinks, and go there regularly on a day drink session. The bar maid would not accept this and said we were not welcome there anymore. Rather then get into an argument in someone else bar we said we would not go there anymore, solely based on her disingenuous accusations. A couple of us went over to talk to the staff. The same bar maid continued to blame us for it, with no evidence expect the picture of the damage. One of the other staff then came over and said it wasn’t us and we’re were welcome back in future and the bar maid who accused us apologised. As good as the apology was, we do not appreciate one of there staff coming over to another bar to accuse of FLASLY of this. The bar man as odyssey said that was rude and unprofessional of her to come to another bar to falsely accuse us of this. We shall not be coming back to Hop Co.

Excellent bar in Warrington town centre.

Atmosphere great, friendly and fantastic staff. I asked for the bar tender to suggest a gin and she presented a fantastic choice that I had never tried before. Spot on.

Decent enough venue, though the one star review is due to the bartender, Ethan. On making my girlfriend a drink, he commented that he wanted to spit in her drink because she 'rolled her eyes' on passing over ID, which did not happen and was a mistake from the bartender to think that this happened - but even still, is a unprofessional reaction to a non-incident. We will not be returning and are disgusted by this. My girlfriend felt unsafe at this bar after this happened.

Lovely bar, could have a nice vibe if it was not for a potty mouthed rude barmaid who made people in our party feel unwelcome due to the drink they asked for. Such a shame as it is a nice place.

Great bar good staff and some excellent craft beers

Absolutely can’t fault this place! Our favourite bar to go, whether it’s a quiet weekday drink, a live music filled Friday/Saturday, or an open mic on a Sunday! The customer service is amazing, we were able to book out the whole upstairs area for our larger party. Liam even leant us his own personal speaker to play our own tunes should we want to! Always amazing customer service from one of the bar managers heather (who happens to make the best long islands I’ve ever had!) bar snacks also available if wanted alongside a cocktail or craft beer!

Popped in for a pint to kill some time waiting for a train and couldn't have a nicer time. Friendly, great beer selection, prices very reasonable (by 2023 standards anyway!), played great music on speakers that actually sounded pretty good. Will definitely visit again if I ever find myself in this neck of the woods.

Cocktails apparently have to be the same for 2 for 1. Avoid them anyway, they're terrible for taste and ABV. Atmosphere is nice, rest of their menu is fine

Wish I hadn't gone, as I drank booze on an empty stomach, and am an alcoholic, but my dad doesn't understand the word no! It's not the staff's fault, the place is great really, a very lively, friendly, and courteous atmosphere.

It was a good atmosphere and served a good pint.

Excellent place for a pint of craft beer, great decor and a brilliant selection of beers. I have been when its very quiet in there and also when its been packed, its always great. If you are out and about in that part of town its definitely worth a visit.

Has the potential to be a nice bar, it’s a real shame the bar maid seemed like she preferred the bar to be empty. Not very welcoming at all.

Good selection of keg 6+ craft beers, cocktails and gins etc. with nice atmosphere and sounds. Industrial shabby chic style interior. If it looks full there's seating out of sight at the back, and more upstairs. Often a local warrington beer on - had a couple of twisted wheel beers on our last visit

Came across this place down one of the side streets in town. Had a really nice IPA before heading off to see The Script. Enjoyed the pint that much, had to go and try another one after the gig!! Thanks guys

Probably the best place for craft ales in Warrington, and now with the new seating layout it is much improved. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Best espresso martini by far! Hop co is definitely the place to visit in Warrington, whether it's casual drinks in the afternoon or classy evening drinks. Great music, surroundings, and choice of beverages. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Mid afternoon beer, quiet and chilled

Recent visit and what a huge difference. More products than ever before and the atmosphere made us feel welcome unlike previous visits where we felt we had gate crashed a mosh pit. What ever has changed it's miles better and one of our regulars on the weekend circuit again.

Turned up on an open mic night. It was really entertaining. The bar looks awesome in design and lighting. Although being small in size, this did not bother me, as I felt part of company to a smaller group of people who all spoke to and knew each other. My kind of place to be drinking. Will be returning again.

Great little alehouse in the centre of town. Huge selection of beers that are rotated often, as well as a brilliant food menu. Staff are really helpful and will let you try beer before you buy - don't be fooled by the small room downstairs, there's another huge space upstairs if it's busy. Hop Co is a great alternative to the standard pubs in Warrington.

Really great atmosphere with a superb selection of homebrew ales. Staff were really helpfull and offered samples before you buy your drink. Highly recommended
