Hongkong City Chinese Aslo Fish&chips in Rotherham

I decided to ring in a take Malay to learn the takeaway no longer does cod , I was equally surprised to learn they don’t do pies . My Christmas tradition was to watch the polar express and have a cod and chips . I am unsure what they used is gluten free so will have to look for alternatives , I threw up and I felt like rubbish

Brilliant Chinese takeaway for gluten free. As someone with coeliac disease it is difficult finding a Chinese so to find one with a wide dedicated gluten free menu was brilliant. I called beforehand and was told they have separate oils used for gluten free, separate utensils and everything is kept apart. They don’t use regular flour at all only potato and rice flour. Easily located off the M1 it was great value and we ended up getting 4 meals out of an £18 munchie box! Makes me want to move to Rotherham and will certainly be coming back!

When you’re coeliac you tend to accept that your food isn’t going to be as good as ‘muggle’ food. This place is the exception! Twice now I’ve had a takeaway and both times well worth the 40 mile round trip!!! Your lemon chicken is the best I’ve ever had! And your curry is the nicest sauce ever! Had the noodles this time (no shrimp) and I had to ring to check they were definitely gf as they looked that good!!! Thankyou for creating this massive and incredible menu for us…. And taking the time to safely cook for us! I wish you were closer I’d be there every week!

My Wife and myself have now had two meal deliveries from Hong Kong City takeaway. Each time the delivery was prompt and the food nice and hot. The food is well prepared, very tasty good value for money. I highly recommend if you enjoy Chinese/Cantonese food.

This place is a breath of fresh air! To have this Chinese takeaway so close to where we live is a coeliac dream. Finding good gluten free Chinese food is near on impossible, and these have nailed it! The menu is extensive, the food itself is fresh, hot and delicious! We’ve tried many things from the gf menu now and have not been disappointed once! Thank you to the restaurant for actually taking the care and time to get a separate gf menu with the care required for coeliacs! Rotherham has needed this for so long
