Hong Chinese Takeaway in Fife

It's a shame as the food here is superb. But I refuse to wait 2hrs for an order. I could learn Mandarin in that time.

Terrible. Waited 2 hours for cold, bland food.

Never complained with much.. but can't disagree with other reviews..dry..and basically bland.. farm foods stuff.. went to Hong's for years always good.. must have changed ownership.. can't remember getting a decent Chinese in Dunfermline for years.. it all tastes the same..dreech

Just received an order which is half what was ordered and after trying for 30 mins over the phone cannot get through. Absolute shambles. WONT BE BACK

Order was 45 minutes late. It was late previously but I gave them another chance

New owners avoid at all costs food is dry and bland sauce is minging not even the right sauce for special fried rice

It was a delivery, only when the food arrived, quicker than expected! It was still very hot 😊 however, I found the food to be disappointing 😕 noodles to full of sauce & meat was grisly, it was a stodgy lump.. I had eaten from there b4 and loved the light spicy noodle, that was not what I got 2nd time round! 😲😝🙄 Ta May

Excellent food and excellent service. I lived in Beijing for 7 years so I am pretty particular with my Chinese food. This is the only place I will order from in Dunfermline.

Don't bother! Waited 1 hour 50 mins. Had to call after 1hour 30 to check it was coming. The chips and rice were the best part of the order. Prawns were tasteless and sauce was watery and just not good. Salt and pepper chicken was rubbery and tasteless. Chicken curry was bland and congealed. Went in the bin. Won't be ordering again.

Waited 2 1/2 hours for food to arrive. Warm and dried out. Won't be ordering from this place again.

Had to have an arse transplant after my takeaway. Avoid.

Not tried here for a while as used to be gash,well, wish I had read reviews first,shocking,plain fried rice with bits of chicken on top,meant to be chicken fried rice,dry overcooked chips,phoned to complain and she told me that is how they do it, Reallyi think the chef needs to watch you tube,,,Avoid,,

The girl on the phone was definitely new very stressful to order food was on the phone for 20 mins or so very bad customer service kept messing up our order never ordering again 😡😡

Mongolian King Prawn-hardly any sauce almost tasteless. Couldn't add cashew nuts even though on the menu for other dishes. Noodles had a curry powder added to them-not a pleasant taste. Salt and Pepper chips-unlike picture online with lots of spice and fresh chilli-1 tiny piece of chilli in large portion of chips. So tasteless compared to other takeaways. Just dried up frozen chips.

Lemon chicken was chewy, inedible even though hungry, shredded beef chewy and mushy horrible coating also inedible , hadn't eaten here in years and remembered the food was nice , sadly was let down by unpleasant food tonight , offensive that they think it's acceptable to sell this mush,

Very poor. First and last only giving it one star as it was on time. Crispy won ton. The clue is in the name. Not soggy won ton. Just no pride in their food.

They used to be really good, nice food, quick delivery. Now it’s all gone Hong. Twice in a row I’ve had to cancel my order after waiting for over 90 mins. Stay clear. Won’t be back.

Place has decent food. The only thing special though is the sofa. My god you sink into that thing !

Ordered from Just Eats. Right on time, portions where enormous great food stuffed to the max. Highly recommended yessss! Especially the Curry King Prawns and Rice with Curry King Prawns and that Fried Seaweed ohhhh myyyyy Goddddd.

Ordered food at 6.40pm and delivery said 70 mins. Still nothing after 90 mins so I phoned up to be told they would make my food soon, they only had one driver on. They would have known this so why not update delivery times to let people know this!

Very nice food fresh and well made

The meat was hard, the chicken balls were swimming in oil, the curry sauce was like cement paste, chicken bites I could throw and knock someone out hard hard hard. Oh and the mini ribs were like sinking your teeth into a tree bark. I will definitely use my usual Chinese. This was not a meal!

Absolutely vile I made a report to food standards agency as.the food is unsafe to consume completely raw and not at all what I ordered place needs shutting down the staff treat it like a cresh for there kids which is dangerous and food is inedible please don't order total furious and if u do make a complaint they refuse a refund and opt to swap ur meal no thanks..

I ordered from here before and wasn't impressed but thought I'll give it another try. Food arrived after 2 hours and I wish it never had. I had the most disgusting meal in my life tonight. Both sauces were watery like soup. Both tasted the same and I ordered two different things. But the chicken, or what was supposed to be chicken, was the nail to the coffin. The meat was jelly like and stringy. It was squishy like a raw scallop. That is just how the cheapest nastiest and pumped with chemicals kind of chicken meat behaves when cooked. Well done for poisoning people.

I have ordered here since I moved to Dunfermline town 2 years ago. Every order has been perfect, no complaints. Food always hot and as expected. Delivery times have always been quick as well. Good customer service. After ordering here for so long they are well overdue a 5 star review.

The standards have dropped considerably and after a few bad takeaways the last straw was ordering a ‘beef curry’ which was watery and tasteless - I will not be back.

Avoid! Very unhygenic,keep unrefrigerated chicken balls in an open tub on the floor very dangerous for food poisoning,wont be back

One star is one star to many for this place Food was disgusting,obviously only suitable for drunk people at 2am who wouldn't know or remember how rank their meal was! Avoid at all costs!

Got battered mushrooms here disgusting soggy a pure waste of money

Excellent special curry and fried rice. Sweet and sour chicken had just the right amount of batter and was very tasty. Would defenitely go back. Swift and friendly service too.

I hope they change the opening time to 11am...

Hong is de best in town boss. But new century tickles my fancy if you get what I'm saying.

Got food lastnight and it was freezing cold I phoned them up to complain they said they would pick it back up and refund the money I'm still waiting. Stay clear of this one very poor service 😠
