Honey Cake in Wandsworth

My new favorite local café! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the service is always warm and welcoming. Every time I visit, I’m served a fantastic cup of coffee. Such a charming and cozy spot! absolutely love this place!

I ordered the signature Honeycake from Honey Cake for my dad's 60th birthday celebration, and it was incredible! The cake was incredibly moist and flavorful, with a perfect balance of honey sweetness and biscuitness. It had a lovely soft texture that just melted in your mouth. They also had different flavors especially the pistachio that I'll definitely be trying for our next celebration. I highly recommend Honey Cake for any special occasion!

A very delicious cake. The ratio of cream to sweetness is just right. The nuts are very fragrant.

An hidden gem in Wandsworth, they have a large selection of sweet and savoury food, and of course their honey cake is to die for. Totally recommended.

Bought a steak bake and a hot chocolate to have in, and 3 florentines to take away for later with my family, all absolutely delicious, good interaction though brief with the staff. Nice friendly place, and will definitely return.

Service was pleasant enough but I purchased a Prawn sandwich which was a wrong move. I haven’t stopped going to the toilet. I will never EVER buy from there again.

They do fresh food you eat there or take away, the only issue is the seating is a bit lower than the table it's not a natural position and very uncomfortable after a while so it is best to buy and leave. 🤨

Honestly the two ladies were lovely and polite, but I’ve just paid nearly £4 for the worst ice coffee I’ve ever had. I’ve worked as a barista so I know how it should look. It was like water had to throw it away. Could’ve got a nice Starbucks for the same price.

The Blonde Estonian Lady Manager at Honey Cake treats me with great kindness and she is always in a good mood. The food and beverages are all tasty here at bargain prices. There are some savoury baguettes that are already made fresh, so if u want quick tasty food then u can do. The desserts are tasty too, my personal favourite is the lemon meringue pie. Coffees vary from Mocha, Latte, Cappuccino and more. During sunshine periods, they can even make you milkshakes and smoothies. So many customers yet the staff still have patience to deal with all of them, all at each time. Hardworking and resilient staff, with a very friendly Manager. My conclusion, a distinct 5 Stars!!

The woman today in pink top was so not welcoming at all did not smile when I came in I spoke to her in english and she ignored me and looked like I was asking her to solve a really hard maths question. She was very unpleasant to deal with I would never go back here even though I used to go there 10 years ago but it's new owned I told the lady boss she serving as an attitude and her excuse was she does not understand English so why the hell is she front of house then I thought to myself but I was not buying it because you dnt have to know English to smile and be pleasant to customers.

Quite random decor including outdated fake flowers and pictures, so it’s better for take away even you still can eat in. Good selection of all type of pastry and cakes, sandwiches etc. you also can find some Russian Pryaniki (ginger breads) and Sushki (little crispy bagels). Very affordable. However, “Belyash” I had (deep fried bun with meat/onion else stuffing) was ok but left me with a heartburn, which is sign of old oil.

Love Honey Cake they do! Also Napoleon and karoshka !

Very. Pleasant staff, the chicken slice was hot and tasty, tried the" potato dog". A new experience for me, the dog could have been a little bigger. Overall very nice

Half of foods are fresh, but half of foods are not fresh. I used to go to buy some bread. They are not make all food on the day. Some bakery left from the other day. I got a last doughnut, but it was hard taste. It was not one time. I had bad breads several times. They shouldn't leave for next day. or They have to sell more cheaper price end of the day. Some bread price goes up every 2-3months and 6 months. Getting more pricy.

Panini decent and there are some good pies and pasties on offer, they make snacks up fresh. Drinks selection not so good. Staff are polite and friendly.

Superb fast and good service and excellent bakery for the ambience and food. The tea has that 'get right over here now!' taste. Really fills that spot perfectly. I love their samosas which are triangular pastries with a filling that can be lamb, chicken or vegetable. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and although the seating arrangements are a few tall benches and a high wall table, I have seen a customer in a wheelchair sit by the benches and use the wall table, so there is a lot of space for a wheelchair. I can't tell immediately if gluten free and diary free bakery are available but it looks like they are willing to look at this aspect. Overall good value and really nice bakery. Many Congrats! !

I normally like this place to stop off in between charity shops but the aura of here has changed, I can't quite put my finger on it but on my last visit I didn't feel as comfortable as I normally do on earlier visits...still worth a visit though

Twice in a row they have messed up my order, won't be going back! They used to be great but have gone down hill and don't listen to the customer or put any care into preperation!

I purchased a Ham & tomato brown Baguette and a Bakewell tart. When I started to eat them the ham smelt off and the cake was dry and stale. When I phoned to complain the guy who answered the phone told me I should have bought them back, I explained I was disabled and a colleague had collected it for me so I put the food in the bin. He just put the phone down on me and when I rang back it went to answer phone. Disgusting customer service.

Sandwiches are ok, but the jacket potatoes and cakes are consistently mediocre. Staff also quite dour.

Disagree with the previous comment, my description of the staff is that they are great! I spent 40 minutes today in the caf, they know their regular customers, give them smiles and know personal details outside the usual easting habits. Very warm and refreshing atmosphere! Smile at people and they will smile back, this is 100%! It is true that a single transaction could produce a near to random experience, yet once you are a regular, you move from a transaction to a relationship!

Went a bought a scotch pie... Went to take a bite and saw mould!
