Having hear the rave reviews , we were excited to try hokey Smokey. We ordered the mixed tray which cost around £50. Unfortunately it was incredibly disappointing. Pork belly was ok but lacked flavour, pulled pork was very dry and plain - needs more of a rub/seasoning, chicken was ok, brisket was dry. We have dined at a lot of bbq restaurants across the uk and have to say this was our least favourite. I think we will give it one more chance.

Took a long drive to get here and when we arrived we were greeted by a “cash only today” sign…… had to search the car for cash and could only order what we could afford !!! I had a lovely beef brisket but my wife had the most fabulous smoked baby back ribs. Really was good. Great location and we did a lovely countryside drive to get home which finished the day off great

We had heard locals tall about the smokery and we were lucky enough to be nearby at the right time to try it A lovely welcome, plenty of seats, a fridge full of beers and wine...and great bbq Mac and cheese was superb, with a great and subtle chilli warmth Highly recommended and will be back!!

Great ' find'. Staying at neighbouring campsite and were at a slight loss.Walked across the car park, following the smell of smoking food. Lovely informal atmosphere, beautiful food. Cold evening when we found it, but sitting in the converted grain store ( I think) near the wood burner kept us warm. Plenty of room for children to run around outside.

Absolutely amazing service and even better food. The weather was horrendous but that didn’t stop the top tier experience we had. Highly recommend the rib and the chicken. Thank you to the owner for being so welcoming and friendly, even when it was lashing it down!
