Ho Wah in Newham

We moved house and decided to try a take away in our new area and decided to try Howah Ilford, what a huge mistake. The rice section on just eat is very unclear, we ordered vegetarian rice, it listed the ingredients under the heading,all vegetables, please see photo. When it arrived the rice contained egg (we are an egg free household for various reasons) when I first rang the restaurant, the young woman shouted at me "you ordered egg friend rice" over and over again, talking over me, I kept repeating, no I ordered vegetarian rice I became upset as she was yelling at me and hung up. I went online and double checked my order, phoned the restaurant again, this young girl became patronizing and started laughing at me like a school girl! I kept saying " I cannot believe you are laughing at a customer and you're the manageress?!" She kept pretending she wasn't laughing at me saying "no, no (giggle) I'm not (giggle) laughing at you, her and her friend continued this for a while! I had to hang up! The rice was thrown in the bin, what a waste of food, I was too upset to eat as they made me so angry! I had to cook spaghetti for my husband and son, they ate at 9 o'clock at night. My husband and son ate the tofu dishes, we ordered 3 different types, he said the one was so dry and they all tasted the same... flavourless! Don't even bother with them, awful customer service and disappointing food.

I like that they will add/take out ingredients upon request. The food tastes fresh and is not too oily. The delivery is usually quick, between 15-30 max.

Always eat from here it's an amazing Chinese I wouldn't go anywhere else. It's never oily and it's always fresh, the restaurant itself is always clean and the staff are always friendly and very welcoming when ups recommend to anybody who loves a good Chinese. They are definitely not dear! Value for money!
