The cafe is easy to find alongside the Prison perimeter fences near allotments and chicken coops. Walk past the car wash area and you will see the humble building serving as the cafe.

Husband called in for a couple of scones. They were huge and at 85p each excellent value. Probably the best cheese scone we've had in years; perfect texture, cheese in generous quantity, all the way through, and even smelled delicious.

Bucks the local trend for value. In a world of pretentious over priced cups of coffee and lunches this is breath of fresh air. The food I would rate as 4 but combine that with the value and it becomes a 5.

Called yesterday ( 4 ladies ) as we were visiting Yarm . Looked on trip advisor for a recommendation for lunch and saw this place . It had good reviews so we decided to give it a try ! A bit off the beaten track but worth it . Corned beef pie with salad for £3 and tea only £1 . Brought to the table - service with a smile and a bit of banter !

Fabulous food all made and served by the inmates plus a small garden centre and woodwork / ironwork for sale but the big draw for locals is the car valet service while customer is in the cafe.I ordered a chicken tikka fajita and a costa hot chocolate -both so big I couldn’t finish them both ! ....and for less that £5

I called in for the first time today with two friends . The slice of gorgeous corned beef pie was huge. The lovely young men serving the food were friendly and polite.. I bought a loaf of fresh baked bread to take home too for 95p and it is utterly delicious. I am planning on trying the cheese scones next time. They looked very tasty. There is a little shop selling hand made garden ornaments and plants. I bought a couple of purple kale. It's nice to be able to buy them individually. I don't want a tray of twelve from the garden centre

the scones are lovely. fruit scones oh so worth having some in a box to take home for later with a cup of tea. we found this place by accident. clean. polite staff who take it in their stride to listen to you and grant your request. the food is lovely. we wish we now had a breakfast instead of scones and a cup[ of tea. it was not until we saw the breakfast that we just knew we should have heeded the kind words of strangers with the words god morning, try the breakfast as they were leaving. the prices are way way way not expensive.we hope to return again if possible when we next in the area, heading to manchester we still think of those fruit scones and jam and butter. but Dear Lord we wish we had listend and had the fantastic breakfast . well done to everyone. well done to all. thank you.

Called in for coffee and cheese scone today. Not the easiest place to find ! Seating and tables inside or on patio to front. Adjoining small garden centre unit and a hand car wash. Staffed by prisoners due for release who are courteous and friendly. Also very efficient. Prices very cheap and food quality very good. They serve costa coffee- coffee , tea and 2 cheese scones only £4.10! High number of staff to customer ratio. It was good to see place well patronised. Very worthy of support. Good luck to u lads now and upon release.

Recently found out that the car wash I'd been using for last 3 years was using excessive acid in their wheel wash. Cost me £ 60 pounds to replace chrome wheel nuts. Checked with Car Wash at the prison and they use a much reduced acidity in their wheel spray. Went to the Cafe while my car was washed. Wow. Wow. Lemon Drizzle cake and Beautiful Home Made Scones. Choice of Fruit or Cheese scones. Top of my list

After many years working in the justice system it is a joy to see such a productive and progressive arrangement. The food itself justifies 5 stars.

My first visit whilst shopping in Yarm was fabulous. We received a friendly welcome and struggled to find somewhere to sit as it was so busy. I had a delicious soup with an enormous bread bap and my friend really enjoyed her quiche and salad. With two hot drinks the bill came to £7. 50. A bargain! We both bought some little gifts from the shop area and visited the plant shop. A lovely experience.

Nice cafe off the beaten track...first and foremost the food and drink is great and so reasonably priced (2 sausages buns, beans on toast, bacon bun and 4 hot drinks £11)......Just well worth it. Venture away from yarm high street and save a fortune! Sure it’s not particularly trendy, but equally it’s unpretentious (unlike most of yarm) and a good cafe. Good quick service, friendly and nice atmosphere. Cakes and bread looks amazing....will try next time. If you want a cafe, with good food, and value for money look no further. Look forward to next visit

A very relaxed environment and very comfy seating makes this a pleasant place to spend time. The hot drinks and food we had were all of a standard I would expect in a high street cafe, but (as you might be able to see on the photos of the receipt s) at a fraction of the price and very generous sizes. Its good to have the car cleaning service outside so you can come and have your car valleted and have a hot drink and something to eat while you wait. There are things to buy (baked goods and craft models) to make this even more interesting. The staff were all very polite, respectful and professional, and I'll probably come back.

Visited here one morning recently. I was impressed by a pretty good latte and my husband commented on a very tasty bacon bun. The guys working in the cafe are very pleasant. The seating is relaxed with sofas and soft chairs. There's a wood burning stove so I should think it would be very cosy in winter. Most amazing was the price, at just over £3!!. There are some charming hand carved kids wooden animals for sale, made on site, and also a small plant and garden shop next to the cafe, which we didn't have time to visit but we will do so next time we go here.

Very poor hotel would not recommend came for a long term stay from September 2015 to November 2016 it was the most poorly run business I have ever seen staff corruption smuggling drugs and porn in for the vunerable residents of this hotel. The meals were insufficient but they did have a cafe you could go to to supplement this down fall at an overpriced cost! "Another scam" To say this is a stepping stone to being a free man in society is an understatement they abuse there superpower to control and conjure up rules and psi /pso for example in the heat of summer you are forced to wear shirts ,jumpers and jeans if they see you wearing a vest top and shorts Dawn will pop a blood vessel jumping up and down shouting at you and and dish out iep warnings that aren't worth the paper there written on. The place is a utter joke they say you carnt sit in the sun after a days hard work digging potatos and building new structures and extensions for the establishment might I add without planning permission but that's for another day.If any one was to look on google earth I wonder what's t they might see perhaps govenor petite /mountain might want to have a look prisoners in there droves sunbathing ! And so they deserve to after all they are only getting about £6 a week for this forced labor Before I close this review I'd like to mention that officer bowman and his silly oversized ego and catipiller moustach will not be getting away with assaulting inmates and will be persued to the full extent of the law.
