Amazing food, Fantastic value for money. 10/10

I haven't had one in years before this but the team here were great and served me and my friend whilst we were out of our minds drunk. I ate it and fell asleep shortly afterwards so its say to say to sorted me out

I have had a lot of kebabs in my time, literally from Crystal Kebabs in London Kings Cross to the more niche kebabs in Hertfordshire (e.g Kebab Van in Welwyn Garden City) and this place has been the best kebab I have ever had in my life. The meat is seasoned in such a different way to what I have normally experienced - it isn’t just salty - there is a hint complexity, a deeper tang that I haven’t experienced before in a kebab. 10/10 - I will wait until I enjoy a better doner wrap than this place

Someone recommended this as a good place to get some food to eat so I thought I would check it out. We ordered some food and were told it would take 15 which minutes for it to be ready so we went for a wander and when we came back it was almost ready. It was great to see the food being freshly prepared and it was really, really tasty. It was also very good value. The chap who served me was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely returning!

I first was introduced and ordered food from HBK back in 2012. I became a regular customer both in person and delivery. I however haven’t eaten from here since 2017/18. I really was craving a doner kebab tonight but my ‘local’ restaurant had ordering issues so I thought I’ll go back to what was my old faithful. I had no clue they’d changed management (and sounds like a couple of times too) and hoped things hadn’t changed dramatically. I hope the new crew are just as friendly and funny as the team that I knew. I ordered a large mix meat doner and chips and I was not disappointed. The chicken doner was so juicy and flavourful and just the right amount of fattiness to it. I was in heaven. If the next time I order food the chicken doner is just as delicious, I think I may just ditch lamb and only ever do chicken. I genuinely feel sorry other people have had bad experiences but I would recommend without blinking to order the chicken meat.

Food was cold not even remotely warm the milkshake well actually the ice cream I had in a pot was ok shame they didn’t remember the crunchie !!!!

The chicken was very dry and half a portion of chips with two of the meals honestly usually love from here but tonight was sub standard !!

Hitchin Best and Kebab, food has been very tasty the few times i ordered with them, in today's order i had also ordered a large bottle of diet coke but the delivery guy said the takeaway didn't have diet coke there today, so he gave me a bottle of pepsi max instead. I think that was actually quite thoughtful as it saved me the stress of having to then go to the local shop, especially with the weather being so cold.

really tasty chicken strips, better than some chicken shops offer! the pizza was also really tasty. this will be my go to pizza place when I'm in hitchin now

18” pizza is great! Food has always been delicious when we have ordered.

My boyfriend and i go to the shop every Friday for doners, tried the Kebab in a pizza-box and it’s scrumptious. Amazing delicious food and great service. Really friendly, funny and lovely guys.

The waffle had an awful metallic taste the fruit was soft mushy and tasted terrible also the chocolate sauce was watered down and non existent. The milkshake tasted like off milk and undrinkable we was also missing our coleslaw with our deal. The chicken was terrible we order from her regularly and this was such a disappointment.

Soggy chips , food was late, meat was poor quality. Salad was soggy. Poor quantity of salad to go with kebab. Pizza was nice.

The order was late and till i didnt contacted whem nobody was even saying anything,but on app they put asdelivered ,then i contactrd they said its on the way ,till food come was super cold n i coulnt eat.

We ordered 2 kebabs for £14. They sent one large kebab in one pitta with one portion of salad and argued that this is 2 kebabs….. the wording is very clear. 2 kebabs, £14. ordering a large kebab would have been cheaper. This is clear profiteering and I won’t be returning and they fact they had the balls to argue 1 kebab is 2 kebabs is mind blowing

I had the hunger buster. Was expecting lamb donar or a mix but was just chicken. I’d probably go just mixed kebab next time.

Really love it here - we live quite rural so sometimes limited for takeaways and have come to expect cold food and soggy chips but every time we’ve ordered food has been piping hot and the chips the crispiest from anywhere that delivers to us.

Since they’ve changed hands they have not updated their website. Change the price of large kebabs to £11.99 which I challenged and they said would give us a bottle of drink… and they did not. The food arrived and was substandard to before when it was in prior management. We had three kebabs and only three salads were provided. The quantity of meat in the kebabs has significantly reduced despite the two pound increase in price. The peri peri fries now taste like cheap Iceland curly fries with a sprinkle of supposed peri peri seasoning. Gutted was the best in town now very very poor. Three kebabs and fries £40 and shocking quality. Out to find the best in town. Would avoid now

Food was good, but I didn’t get the Pepsi that was supposed to come with it. Mistakes happen, I’m sure they’ll do better next time.

Had one earlier and it was like time travelling back to the 90's for a kebab. Good size to be fair but had to bin off half of it, like licking a block of lard even after 5 pints. Can still taste it 6 hours later. Guys cmon, kebabs have evolved.. would love to see something on a par with GDK or lutons Berlin Donner in hitchin. That would mean lots of return custom.

This take away has been under new ownership over the past few weeks and I have been a customer of this establishment for about 20 years. I am pleasantly surprised that the new owners and staff have been honouring their loyal customers like myself by offering me their fantastic customer service. Fresh food, superior quality at competitive prices is what they offer. Keep up the great work guys!!!

Lovely food under new management since they started this month. Food quality is perfect taste is very delicious specially the guys over there can give extra sauces and they are very friendly. I am a regular costumer. Me and my team use to eat their mixed Donner wrap and other meals regularly.

Found hair in my food, was removed bt manger then denied and then told it was mine, asked to review their cctv to show no hair protection was worn by the server!! A refund would have sorted it but that was refused, dirty and poor customer service, be carful

Food is okay and phone customer service was good until you speak to the manager because there was an issue with your order. About as rude as it gets and when you inform them of a mistake the manager response was ‘your opinion is irrelevant’. (wow) Word of Advice: don’t buy their ‘large’ portions, it’s the same size as their normal portions.

Portion sizes pathetic - paid for 2 large kebabs and both had only 3 tiny pieces of meat in them. Chips also very stingy. Disappointed and feel that the value for money is awful.

Positive - presentation, salad, sauces packaged separately. Negatives - small portion sizes (XL was definitely a medium), quality of meat was poor, food arrived lukewarm. There are plenty of other kebab shops around the area that are certainly better than 'Hitchin best kebab'. I'm from north London and know what a quality kebab looks and tastes like. Avoid this establishment.

My daughter ordered at 5.50pm for 8pm delivery, as I was travelling back from Buckinghamshire after sorting out my late mother's funeral so was in no mood to cook. By 8.15pm it had not arrived but on the just eat app it was notifying my daughter it had been delivered so she phoned to be told that it was currently being made as they were wait for drivers to return to collect before making also it was busy and hitchin was flooded.....well I drove through there 20 min before and encountered no floods, well it finally arrived after 8.30 , I had ordered a vegetable kebab ny daughter a donner and they hadn't even cut the pittas and filled them the filling was chucked on top ( I have used them before so know the filling is usually inside) so resulting in a soggy pitta that wouldn't hold the filling...the idea of a takeaway very often is to save on washing up , well this is the 1st time I have eaten a kebab on a plate with a knife and fork. Very disappointed and also with how the manager spoke to my daughter.

Never had any issues with them, great kebabs and surprisingly good sf chicken. Delivery or takeaway, cash or card, all good.

Freezing cold and extremely salty doner meat and small portion. Handful of chips for £1.60 that were hard and also cold. Chicken was dry but yet very greasy at the same time?? First time ordering and never will again! Definitely not best kebab more like worst kebab. Avoid;

Have been using hitchin best kebab for a long time and giving them the benefit of the doubt as their food is is very tasty, but after several times it being delivered cold the straw is broken I think I am done if I am going to use the microwave I may as well save myself a bit of money 🤷‍♂️
