Hings in Stevenage

After placing an order told to be delivered in a hour . 1hr 30mins later still not arrived spent another 26 mins trying to get through to them and finally do they hang then phone up agaon and 15 mins trying to get through and they havent even cooked it yet and when i tried to cancel the order the lady was so rude and thought it was funny that i waited so long . If u r not in a rush for food then this is defo the place for u.

If you have all night with nothing to do and fancy killing time waiting forever for a mediocre Chinese meal, this is the place. Food over an hour late, it was warm so that’s something, my soup was like dish water , Other food was average at best . Will not use again , can’t recommend, much better places to go in Stevenage

Ordered @ 7pm still waiting ( time now 21:17) said it would be 35mins.. no one answering phone. Load of sh#t never orderings from there again.

We went most Sunday hear was happy with them we always ordered chicken balls with our eal every Sunday a few months ago we got home and it wasn't chicken but fish instead if we had a allergy we would of been in trouble we took it back but no free meal just sorry and another portion of chicken ball then last Sunday got chicken balls again this time we had pork and grisly bits I could not eat this or the rest of my dinner we took it back again got our money back for the chicken ball but no sorry have a meal on us where there loyalty as for this we will not b going back so they lost our money every Sunday and if I had been a Muslim then I would not been happy eating pork

Ordered at 7pm. Expected delivery workin 25mins and suddenly chansged to an hour. Finally got through just after 8pm asking where our food was. She had to go and look for our order. Came back and offered extra 1 hour delivery. They had used excuse that I lived very far and externally busy. I told them to shove it and give me a refund. Not using them again.

A truly dreadful service. Food failing to arrive. Restaurant does not respond to phone or text. According to other customers this is a regular weekend situation taking on far more orders than they can service. I certainly will not buy from here again and if you have read the reviews and order only to receive poor service then you only have yourself to blame.

Ordered at 6pm. Still waiting at 8.55pm after being told 30 mins delivery at 6pm. Finally got through at 8.55pm asking where our food was. She had to go and look for our order. Came back and offered 35 minute delivery. They had misplaced our order! Told them to shove it. Ruined New Year’s Eve. Not using them again.

Xmas eve ruined. We waited 3 hours until one of us went to the shop to try and collect the food. At the shop were many collection drivers upset with the staff. Our order had not even been started. We cancelled the order. The attitude of the person in charge was bordering rude. We will never use this shop again, who in the past has been more than helpful. Their loss, other local chinese takeaway's gain.

I have always liked this chineese. So as a treat on christmas eve I ordered a meal for my family. It turned up cold and obviously re-heated as opposed to cooked fresh. Really spoiled our night. Wont be using again! Dont places realize when they cut corners like this a give poor quality they lose customers

Currently at 3 hours of waiting for our food, driver was suppose to be here at 9.30 it's now 10pm. When I rang and asked how long the rude lady said 5 minutes shock horror didn't arrive so had to ring me.... Honestly don't mind waiting if stated but when you get lied to and lied to know it is shocking.... If your looking for something to eat on a Saturday this is not the place to go to beyond awful

Ordered a set meal for 3 online with delivery at 6pm given an estimated time of 7.40pm which although long we accepted as its lockdown. 7.40pm came and went, tried calling, constantly engaged. Got an updated delivery time eventually online now 8.40pm. Food eventually arrived at 9pm, missing item from set meal. Food tasted good but 3hrs is ridiculous. Won't be ordering again.

Ordered at 6.10, estimated time of delivery 19.45 (fair enough for a Sat night in Lockdown). Food actually made it to my door at 9.15pm. OVER 3 HOURS!!! I could understand if I'd ordered late, but I ordered really early to avoid having to wait. Phone off the hook so you can't speak to them about it. No apology on delivery. Food not hot either. Requested partial refund on JustEast, just got a text saying the restaurant won't be refunding you. Reason: They had a busy night. Oh well that makes it ok then?!?! If you can't cope with orders from 6pm I suggest you stop taking orders.

Ordered at 6:27pm. Food was delivered at ten past nine. No apology. We were told it would be delivered by 8pm, and told by the English girl on the phone it was busy so that's why it would take an hour and a half. No problem, we've ordered from here before and like the food so we didn't mind. But two and a half hours for delivery, regardless of if you are busy or not is an absolute joke. The driver offered no apology for it being late and after calling at 8:15pm we were told by the girl on the phone yet again they were busy and it would be twenty minutes. So why it took them to deliever nearly an hour after that call is beyond me. Still though, the food is good. Not sure it's worth a 2 1/2 hour wait though.

Was pleasantly surprised after reading some negative reviews about delivery and food on here. Was quoted one hour for delivery by Just Eat but our food was delivered just within 30 minutes and was piping hot - maybe just lucky.? The food was decent, sweet and sour chicken, Singapore noodles, crispy chilli beef and fried rice. The chicken sauce was a little bland and seemed almost watered down but it was all very edible and I would use again despite prices being a touch high. My favourite Chinese in the Old Town doesn’t deliver so if I can’t get out then this will be my go-to Chinese for delivery.

Placed an order had it delivered and driver had no change, was told they would come back after the shift with the change £4-£5 have not seen them or heard from them since, been over a week now. Think I should add interest as they like to take the piss

Called up to order, the girl on the phone was extremely rude! Had attitude and clearly didn't want to be at work. She didn't know the menu when I asked her a question and took 15 minutes to take my simple order.After 50 minutes of waiting we called up to see where it was because she told us it Would be 40 and after spending 10 minutes trying to find our order she said, 'it's cooking we're busy' and then just kept repeating were busy in a rude manner. This girl was English,Her attitude was disgusting and she was quiet frankly clueless!! I then spoke to the Manager who said it'dBe 15 minutes... we still haven't received our order.So let's see...I will not be ordering from here again due to the girl on the phone.Customer service is key and you definitely need to work on it!!

Now my favourite since Jenn che at oval closed.pretty fast orders and delivery and the food is hot and flavour some Will keep ordering

First takeaway from here and have to say can’t complain about anything as it was all damn good. The noodles were especially good. Would order again for sure.

Well what can we say !!!!Avoid this takeaway !!Home delivery NOT Ordered on just eat 1 hour then put back another half hour then after one hour 45 min and a travel to the shop for a refund told that we have to collect refund from just eat. No money no food still hungry Happy days

Last minute needed food for delivery. Ordered direct and got a discount so worth ordering direct...basics...ordered a selection of mains and chilli and salt chicken...no complaints from anyone. Large portions reasonably priced compared to other takeaways. Haven’t used a delivery service for many years, New Hings did not disappoint. Highly recommend....food tastes like it does from hawker stalls (only slightly bigger portions over here)

Food takes much longer to arrive than expected, arrived just warm. Very overpriced. Incorrect items delivered. Duck is on the bone, not ready prepared, sadly more fat and skin than meat. Chips very greasy and undercooked. Crispy chilli beef over cooked. Prawn crackers not fresh and are greasy. Chicken balls and chow mein however were delicious, the only items that were. Overall disappointing, will not use again.

Ordered via the JE app. However if you order via their website, it works out cheaper as you get 15% off. We collected instead of did delivery. Food was great, was able to collect within 18 minutes of ordering.

We ordered a Chinese from Hings via JustEat. It said it would be an hour. After 1hr and 15 minutes we rang and were told it would be another 30 minutes.

Ordered 2hrs ago, no phonecall from them , no comms whatsoever. I’m off to bed ! At least I’ve saved a few calories !

This place used to be great! Now the rice seems to have sweet corn all of a sudden and very salty! Never used to be like this. Went back encase it was an off day but seems it wasn’t, Have not returned since

Ordered food £22 sent my husband to collect they demanded £27. Only realized after my husband got home how much he paid. Called them back they like oops come get the rest of your money. I don’t even live close by

Ordered a take away at 7:30 and was told food would be 45 minutes. Called the restaurant at 9:00 and was told food was ready but waiting for a delivery driver. Food arrived at 9:30. Food was ok, but unsurprisingly not very hot. Mushroom curry has one mushroom! A plain rice was delivered in place of mushroom rice.

Just moved to the new house and have have several takeaways from here food and service was excellent

In a tired looking stretch of shops it doesn't look much from the outside, but it was actually very good! Thoroughly enjoyed our set menu, which was ready in 10 minutes, and would definitely go back again. Nice green space to walk around nearby while you wait too!

Never had a bad take away from here, highly recommended, 5* hygiene rating too which is something I always look for when eating out

We have been regular customers of Hings for years now. We have tried others but they do not compare. Delicious food when you fancy that takeaway fix and staff are always friendly and helpful.

Love the food from here, great prawn crackers too. Staff always seem friendly and they have a good choice.

The worst Chinese in the area. Food very poor and salty. I wouldn't go back again, I should have listened to people but decided to try for myself.

Yet another tasty meal. Never had a bad one and the girls are really friendly. Love this place and it's superb food. Why this place doesn't get more reviews is beyond me. Food prices are good too.

We use this place a lot and by far the best chinese take away around the area very clean place your order and it's usually ready in 10 minutes the longest I have waited is 20 minutes this is whenthey are really busy Staff always pleasant and the food is always very good would go no where else.

Had the duck and orange a couple of times now - one of my favorites! Highly recommend. Plus the spring rolls are the best I have every had

Caterpillar in seaweed. Took it back said it wasn't their fault. No appoligises. Just awful never go back

Love this takeaway Food is great and the staff are lovely. Price is reasonable, not the cheapest but worth it I find.
