Hing's in Epping Forest

Since I can remember in the 70's, this used to be the best Chinese takeaway for miles, unfortunately, now it's one of the worst! We ordered a takeaway for 3 of us for my husbands birthday, new year's eve. We placed the order at 8.30pm and received it shortly before 11pm! We appreciate they were busy but when the food arrived it was luke warm, the chips were dry and cold and the satay chicken looked like 4 turds in a foil tray... they didn't even taste like satay! The chilli beef was lovely though. That's about the only positive I can honestly give for this food on this occasion!

Ordered some food for delivery and was told 1 1/2 hr wait ... wasn’t happy but agreed .. 1h 45 m later still no food , called and was told it would be another 30 mins .. ARE YOU FOR REAL !!! Over 2 hr wait .. MAYBE STOP TAKING ORDERS AND STOP BEING GREEDY ... When I asked why they never called to tell me it’s gonna be late ... reply . BEEN TOO BUSY TAKING ORDERS .. AVOID !!!

Oh wow first time to order from here... where do I start... absolutely amazing beautiful food arrived piping hot quick delivery amazing service I will not be going anywhere else ever again👌👌👌👌

Been having takeaway here since the 1970s. Never been let down. Whole piece chicken chow mein cannot be beaten, neither can the bbq sauce. Brilliant.

Hadnt tried this place living in waltham abbey for 3 yrs ! Now we have it every week ,always good , very friendly people . Always hot on collection and great price too !

Haven't had a meal from here for a while and now I know why.... rice was cold.. no chicken.. veg hardly non existant (Hings Special Rice).. curry sauce had no taste... won't be rushing back. Telephoned them to tell them the problem..they really wasnt interested

Good Chinese take away, Salt and pepper ribs a must, chicken Chinese style, sticky chicken our favs.

Absolutely disgusting and totally unacceptable customer service do not use forgot half our order when called to say what happened they wasn’t to bothered and said I could go down and collect the rest while the other bits I had at home already got cold! Rude, vile food would never use again and will continue to spread the word around the Abbey!

Good food and selection of dishes. Best to order over the phone as it can get very busy. Home delivery also available.

Got a take away from Hings after recommendation from our neighbours. Very tasty and not at all greasy. Great service - I'm not keen on green peppers and they made me chicken with great veg and garlic sauce instead of the green peppers. The chicken was very tender. The deep fried crispy beef had a lovely flavour. We also found out that they deliver to our area!!!

Been using Hings for many happy years. Since new owners took over last year found food quality considerably poorer. Tonights sweet and sour chicken (number 85) was a chicken breast with sweet and sour sauce poured over it before having the lid out on. Unfortunately its now time to bid Hings farewell.

A nice resturant very friendly and is situated along the high street there is parking pop town hall or behind the coop .the food is of good quality and very hot and delicious the menu caters for all tastes

Just looked too grubby. Not clean enough so food and price irrelevant. Place could do with a good scrub.

Its always a quick service and never had a bad meal there, its a chinese take away that has been in the Abbey for years, so that must tell us something

We have used Hings for many years for our chinese take aways and have always found the food very tasty,hot and very good value. it is very easy to place your order over the telephone and your food is always ready for collection within the time stated. They also do home delivery but we have never used this option and therefore cannot comment on this item. Give the place a try, I do not think you will be disappointed

Very well established. We have used this for years and know others who travel a long way to get there. Good menu. Good telephone odering service with free delivery. We have used others but always come back here.

We have used Hings for nearly 40 years! Always serves up a nice curry. Fair prices. Keep up the great work.
