We ordered a meal while on holiday from Himalaya and were very pleased. Very friendly staff and great food. I wouldn’t hesitate to get a meal from them again.

This is the best Indian takeaway around. Delicious food and you always get extra dishes! Excellent.

Omg how Good ! Ordered the set menu for 2 enough for four ! The food was piping hot wrapped really well . Extras we didn’t order extra nan bread, rice, onion bhajis and samosas . Oh and extra poppadoms. Would definitely return and order again .

Tried phoning, no answer. Went to restaurant to place order and the door was open with an open sign on but was told that they aren't working even though Google says they are open.

Had the set meal for 2 at least 5 times now, it feeds my family of four and then some! The food is absolutely delicious, never had anything that didn't taste good. We love the freebies too as it means we taste things we wouldn't usually order. Very reasonably priced and highly recommended!

This place is amazing. Fabulous quality and huge value for money. £24 for 2 starter, two main, 2 rice, 2 naan and pops, plus some freebies. We were set up for the next day too. Jalfrezi one of the best I've had. Just takeaway though, just now

Two days ago I visited this non descript restaurant still suffering the COVID 'look'. I almost walked out but two customers who walked in after me convinced me not to. I nearly missed out on the best lamb Naga I've had in over 15 years and I eat copious amounts of curry regularly. This was exceptional! If you are in North Wales never mind Ruthin.... And you want to tantalise the taste buds... Make a B Line for Himalaya. Trust me. I cannot wait until June when I go back💪👍

We had a family vegetarian take away meal, which was reasonably priced and with good choice. They have us free popodums, and free starters, as well as other extras - which effectively gave us enough extra food the next day! Very friendly staff. The foyer where you collect from needs a fresh lick of paint (eg around the fuse box) but overall delighted with the meal served. Thank you

Simply delicious take away. Mountains of food, 4 stuffed people and enough for lunch today too Each dish was bursting with flavour, meats were cooked to perfection and the sauces were delicious !! If we lived closer this take away would be our go to …. Highly recommended !! Shame it’s only a take away tho …. A restaurant serving delicious food like this would be a huge hit !!

First visit as on holiday, the food is without a doubt the best indian food we have ever had. After a recommendation from a family member, we opted for an Indian takeaway and we were not disappointed! We had a takeaway for 3 last night and the food was amazing! Everything was delicious and packed full of flavour. The portions are VERY generous and absolutely worth every penny. It wasn’t expensive compared to Indian takeaways I’ve had previously. Well worth a visit - you won’t be disappointed - and we’ll definitely be going next time we’re in Ruthin.

Everything was very delicious and we had unexpected extras which were also very nice! So much food that we had two meals out of it!

Grease, wrong order, overcharged, and even the extra few bhajis they throw in for free tasted off. What a disappointment. The pilau Rice was ok.. Don’t waste your money.

Had amazing takeaways from this place - the food is fantastic. Don't be put off by the slightly chaotic takeaway service - you will end up with stuff you didn't order (all free, on the house), but your meal will be there (sort of! Don't worry it's gorgeous!)

Ordered from this place with a lot of expectations after seeing the good reviews but after tasting the food, I am really disappointed. Very poor taste and not at all good Indian food. Chicken Passanda was like a sweet dish - exaggerated amount of sugar has gone in to make the dish sweet. Passanda preparations are not so sweet. The vegetable korma was tasteless and extremely oily. The cheese garlic naan barely had any garlic flavour or taste of cheese. To be honest I am really surprised how people have liked the food so much. Could be due to lack of optionsin the area. The food is very much average if not below. Another thing to mention, the place offers additional food beyond your order when doing takeaway. Although I appreciate the gesture but it should be kept in mind on what food you are giving that too without mentioning. I was given a starter with Lamb - a meat which I not eat. Had to take a bite to realise what it has. I would appreciate a note or a mention of any dish that I am not ordering to accordingly decide to eat or not. Overall a very disappointed customer experience with the food.

10/10 indian takeaway. Himalaya is possibly the nicest indian takeaway I have had. I have been ordering here for approximately 2 years and never been disappointed. The quality of the food is second to none and unbelievable amounts of freebies, which allow us to try lots of different main meals, sides, starters and rice dishes for our next order. Great service to top it off. Very lucky to live near this gem of a place. Thank you all at Himalaya, I look forward to our next order.

The standard of the food is amazing, staff are really friendly and we really hope you start to do “dine in” this winter, we will definitely be booking a table!

My partner and I got a takeaway from Himalaya last night and it was wonderful. We came home with lots of extra onion bajis and samosas. The service was lovely and friendly as always and our food was made quickly. Would definitely recommend going to Himalaya!!

Hands down the best Indian my partner and I have had!! First time ordering from Himalaya, we were staying away and it sounded great, we had a set meal for 2, and I was really impressed that you get to pick from a huge variety of options (all our locals don’t offer options, it’s the set meal as it comes take it or leave it) The portions were HUGE, tasty, cooked well; we were given A LOT of extras for free which we didn’t expect, (an extra chicken starter, lots of extra poppadoms, an egg fried rice, a saag aloo, extra chutneys, and a roti!!) we were easily given enough to feed 4 people!! We read that Himalaya will soon be opening as a restaurant and we can’t wait to visit with our family and friends!! Thank you so much for an amazing meal, we look forward to being returning customers!

The set meal for 2 will feed 4. There was no lamb available so we had to have chicken. (Probably a cost thing). That said, the quality and size of the meal more than made up for the lack of choice.

Excellent food , we had the set meal , choice was fantastic, extra portions were put in the massive bag when we collected this was our first visit and we will be returning. Chicken chaat puree was out of this world. Everything was coked to perfection.

First time eating food from Himalaya and it was nothing short of excellent. The dish I ordered (Tandoori King Prawn) had gone up by £2, but this was more than compensated for by an addition of unrequested sundry items. So much so that I wondered if they had got my order wrong. If this is standard, which I pessimistically doubt, then the value is outstanding. The food itself was fresh and delicious. I'll be back, curious to see if this was a one off or not, but if this is standard, then I'll be eating from Himalaya a lot. Excellent.

Just picked another beautiful curry up from the Himalayan, I was also given onion bhajis , vegetable curry, samosas and chicken pieces free with popadoms and chutneys !!! It’s the same every time I order from here lots of freebies given every single time. Rang them back up to say thank you and I really appreciate their generosity!! I have never had a bland meal from here and can’t recommend this take away enough. The only thing I will say is I can’t wait for the place to open as a restaurant!!! Had the worst curry ever last night. Zero flavour or spice. Chose Vegetable Bhuna, it was just a tasteless blob of vegetables, nothing Indian about it at all. My husband had a lamb Rogan and this wasn't much better, although it was in plenty of tomatoey sauce, there was no spice added and the lamb was really tough. Such a shame, the proper chef must have had a night off, we have had a really tasty curry from here in the past.

Last night was only the second time we've had a take away from Himalaya (whilst visiting our daughter in Ruthin) & oh my goodness what an amazing experience 😮 These guys produce the best Indian food we have ever had 😀 Although they do the usual Indian recipes, I would highly recommend trying any of the chefs recommendations...wow, truly stunning food!! Thanks guys...& please, can you open a Himalaya on the Wirral 👍😀👍
