Hildrews in Gateshead

While my daughter shopped I popped in here for an oat milk latte and was served by a woman who to be honest looked like she didn’t want to be there. I paid for my drink and waited patiently, the lady who was making the drink said it was ready. I politely asked if it was the oat milk latte and the woman who had taken my order barked at me that’s not what you ordered. I explained I ordered an oat latte and she snapped at me, that’s not what you asked for with a very stern look. I explained I don’t drink milk and I wouldn’t have asked for anything other than what I ordered. The lady then demanded another 60p from me which I proceeded to pay. I could see the woman who was making the drink was rather embarrassed and said it was ok to me. I won’t be returning here to be spoken too like that and she needs to learn some manner and put a smile on her face. Extremely disappointed .

Atmosphere was amazing and great service and decent prices

Absolutely terrible pizzas they are very thin and had no toppings on kebab meat is a cheap rubber version and customer is terrible would stay clear if this place

The staff at the Muffin Break always give excellent customer service even at their busiest times. The shop is always clean and tidy and food is displayed nicely. Highly recommend

Driver didn’t wait for me to come to the door- let himself into the house and dumped it on the floor! Food cold, running in grease and the parmo was soggy and not even remotely crispy.
